Wow there was a lot of research put into that. Ethan is like some form of Elemental that can control temperature. Maybe he will be able to control earth wind water and fire. That would make him ever so powerful and why others would see him as a threat. I keep saying this: those two need to mate sooner rather than later as Ethan's life could depend on it. Elder James, the Alpha and the doctors already see the huge target appearing on Ethan's back. Its time to Power Up before Michael and the Lycan Council do their worst. What a sweet, chilled and kinky way to spend the day. And what's more it's still far from over as Ethan agrees to spend the night with Aiden. At last there's a real sense of heat in their desire and arousal for eachother. Aiden is more of a romantic than I thought. I love how this whole world is coming to life with bears, tigers, horse rides and that incredibly idyllic waterfall and pool. You really need to Google map that location or organise some trips WolfM with a water sports option. 🤪

OK so my theory about Michael and his lycan gerbil dad, bit the dust. No wolf except Aiden can turn Ethan. Ethan' s DNA is unique and judging by his glowing blue eyes, he is a unique lycan of some sort. Something with fast strong reactions given he's downed both a wolf and Michael now. Ethan is getting to make up for missed youth, as he gets to play video games with Ryan and Zach. And Jack sneaking in a quiet game of fetch ball is a nice touch too. I'm surprised that Alpha Stockdale allowed Ethan to chose the fate of his attackers. Especially when he expected Ethan to let them off. This was a direct breach of someone under his protection and needed to be dealt with forcefully. More Community Service sends out entirely the wrong message and isn't going to assert the Alpha's authority. Nor will it discourage Aiden from taking matters into his own hands. And why was Michael released from jail early when he showed no remorse? The Alpha is clearly capable but he is also making a series of weak decisions here that could destablise the pack. As for our budding romantics, Aiden is clearly into dating for the long haul. One night out at the Flicks and an Italian this week. Even a human might have trouble with that level of restraint let alone a ravenous wolf in proximity to his true mate. Aidens such a gent. 😉

Eureka. I was joking about Michaels mum having an affair but maybe the Alpha knows it too and realises that Michael is of weaker stock (maybe not a gerbil) and not his gene pool. Caleb has known the Alpha a long time and is aware of this too and trying to keep it secret. Yet more speculation 😉

Great, Ethan is getting a real taste of family life, like it's meant to be. Mum's cooking meals, dad's giving the wolf's version of the birds and bees and all his bro's high fiving. And paying a dollar a week for food and keep; now that's what I call home 😉 Its great that Ethan now has the opportunity to learn a bit of a trade and earn an honest living. He's clearly up for a hard days graft. Who else would have given him that on the streets? It's cute that neither Ethan nor Aiden can be comfortable sleeping apart. Clearly being true mates has something to do with it but the indications are, that this attraction is way more than normal even for that. The odd thing is that Ethan is human and is way more affected than Aiden, the Wolf. I'm left wondering whether a young lycan has a blood type that appears to be human until they have their first change? If so maybe Ethan is a young Lycan that hasn't changed yet. Hence why the doctor didnt pick it up. Maybe he's late transforming because hes never felt in a safe pack environment until now. That would explain the strong bond to Aiden. And what if Ethan is an Alpha too along with Aiden. That would make for things never before seen. It's all speculation. All I know is Ethan and Aiden best get around to dating and mating soon. Ethan is at risk of being mated by another wolf plus we know that the closer you mate nearer the full moon the higher the risk of fatality for the new wolf. It's almost mandatory they have sex now. And as for Michael; you need a check up son. Maybe your mum might have had an affair with a lycan gerbil.

Michael is clearly unhinged. His dad must surely know that he will cause trouble for Ethan and Aiden when he gets out of jail. The Alpha should lock him up until he apologises and means it. It was also a bit odd having Aiden go for a 2 hour run and leaving Ethan on his own at his first town hall meeting. How unsettling. After all he didn't know the Tuckers that well. The sexual tension is ramping up nicely. Just as well that Ethan is not staying at Aiden' s apartment or he'd surely be jumped during the night. I suspect Ethan will be using Aidens jock strap like a dust mask throughout the nights. It would probably help if someone could offer Ethan a temporary job. I'm sure he'd love to earn a bit of cash and help contribute to his upkeep.

I'm so pleased that you're a strong enough person to forgive the "Larry David" that lurks within me. I really like Mortality. Good poetry can always be read in a multitude of ways. In my first readings, I saw that first gentle plunge as the breaking of the waters at the time of our birth and the river being our childhood the whirlpool the disturbances of our youth and our draw to what drives our true independent persona. The open sea being our mature and settled state of mind. The island is our spiritual nirvana; that place we would each want to be. The idea of any wrongs attending our movement like flotsam to be cleansed away at the end, as the cost of living a life, struck me too. It's an evocative and enduring statement. So much more than my flippant remark may have suggested to those who don't know me better. Thank you for sharing buddy

Glad Ethan is doing his best to join back into society after three years on the road. I expect that it requires a major mindshift to give up ones independence and start to accept the imposition of someone else's rules and responsibilities. That begins with the Wolfpack Community and Alpha Stockdale, but extends to the Lycan Council, the local lycan customs, the townsfolk and those who would be his peers but also includes living back in a home and fitting in with the Tucker family's way of life too. It's a major issue to entrust others with your welfare and to allow personal attachments to form. It would be so easy for Ethan to cut and run away from all of this Trust. Thankfully, Aiden and the Tucker family are making it seem achievable for now.

I like the gentle unhurried pace of this part of the narrative. It has the calming effect similar to that you would get from walking the nature trail they are on. There's a lot of emotion in the writing too. Ethan is having to forgive himself for the depravity that he was forced to endure in order to survive. If he can't learn to forgive himself how can he expect anyone else? And the humour always helps. I see there's not much difference between canine and vulpine/lycan when it comes to them sticking their noses into your crotch. Some things just never change 😯

Like so many others have said this story just keeps getting better. I liked the sensitivity shown by Aiden in revealing himself to Ethan and both their reactions felt truly authentic. After three years living on the streets it won't be easy for Ethan to trust anyone fully for a long time and I expect that there will be a lot of issues there as the story progresses. Especially as Michael gets to do his worst. You've made a good job of introducing Aidens best friends whose personaliries are now beginning to flesh out. Great Job WolfM.

Fabulous story. It was great how you built up the excitement of Aiden and Ethan meeting up when they were a days journey away, and howling in the night. That Ethan heard it so far away and his thoughts ran to his wolf was a moment of magic. Done well, I love how these Wolf shapeshifter stories can generate emotion almost like no other. When a hugely oversized killer wolf choses not to use its power to destroy but to love. That sloppy kiss means everything Aiden has his mate now but will he trust Ethan enough to break the lycan laws and reveal himself in human force.

I think everyone knows Michael is feeble and will never make a good leader. All the teens walked away with Aiden not Michael at the end. The Beta is almost as weak for supporting Michael to the Alpha. Alarm bells warning of a sycophant in Alpha's midst. Ethan could be wandering anywhere now. Aiden will be lucky to see him again. Curiouser and curiouser! Enjoyed seeing the weeks events from Aiden's perspective. Alpha's spoilt brat Michael and his sycophants having to be kept in check by Aiden. Will the Alpha be concerned with reforming his wayward son to avoid trouble with the Lycan Council and take heed of Caleb, the bears warning? Seems like there's a serious risk to Ethan having been turned. Enough to warrant someone monitoring him closely at the next full moon. Thanks WolfM. It's an easy yet entertaining read.

Ethan has made such a wonderful choice leaving the city streets in favour of the forest trails. City's respect wealth but nature elevates your soul. To come face to face with such a wild magnificent beast must have been an immense adrenalin rush. That first contact, not knowing if he were about to be devoured only to be amazed by having the large predator lay down beside him, like a mindful guardian. How awesome was that? Ethan in the buff was clearly an attractive proposition for our large black wolf and the exchange of rabbit for cooked fish was a perfect way to seal the deal of their friendship. And what an ending too: that they should have changed into human form. How will Ethan react to that and what will be the repercussions of that bite? This I must see. Great writing WolfM. Let the wonders of this journey begin.

I've put this on hold for the time being until get to read it on a laptop. I use my mobile and, as previously noted, it's hard to read in this format. I've enjoyed what I've read though. I just finished with the magical Jack Dark show with out of control ship. That whole show was amasing in its concept and description. It's been an exciting and mystical adventure so far. Looking forward to coming back to it later.

Hi Geron I just got around to this. About a quarter of the way through. I was thinking that it would be a good thing for you to republish these long 1 chapter stories as multiple chapters. You've already got defined breaks where the asterisks are. I think it would draw in more readers. I've found it something of an issue as I read these things on my mobile. Just a suggestion. I may want to read some of the others and it it would be great if I didn't have to cut and paste each section to make it easier to read.

I have to hold my hands up and say that I don't think this story is for me. That's more than OK. They can't all be personal winners suited to my tastes, and yet so many have been. My greatest weakness though, is that I can't seem to walk away either. I do need to know what happens now. So please put me out of my misery soon. I'm beginning to feel like Russ here, drawn to see what this Colin dude is all about. But this could go on for years. 🤪🤡👹

Great. Jamie got to go over to Ricky's and be all neighbourly like 😘 Ricky insisting on taking Jamie's last favourite strawberry ice cream coupon is something that only a long standing friend would do to you. It's a wicked touch. I'm also thinking that Ricky has bought in to Jamie's try everything once philosophy. Fascinated by the explanation of Batman's arch enemies being representations of his own demons. I'm also intrigued with what Russ imagines will happen if Colin finds out about Russ and Joey having sex. Does he think a) that it will never happen b) that it will not affect Russ and Colins friendship which is purely platonic c) Colin will understand that Russ needs to be kept sexually active and will be happy to take over the slack from Joey or d) who cares, I have my needs.

I'm impressed @Fieldman. You've learned English from Comsie and I didn't spot a single sexual reference in any of your response. Are you sure you were paying attention? 😉 All joking aside, that's quite impressive.

I liked that the main focus was Russ on Colin. Seems like Joey is wising up to this being a pure sex thing or is that just Russ's take on things? Maybe Colin knows his dad is homophobic and is doing his best to resist any contacts that would reveal him to be gay. Missy definitely has his confidence but maybe nobody else. Surely all will be revealed in the next Chapter.

OK it's a case of 3 strikes and you're out, Russ. I was so wrong about this story and where it was heading. Russ knows that Joey has really fallen for him, loves him even. So it's definitely not OK for Russ to keep Joey in the dark and use him as a surrogate for Colin. Worse still, Russ has not only continued the deception with Joey but escalated it to a far more intimate level of sex that Joey needed to consent to, with full knowledge of what was going on. All sympathy with Russ is now gone. As a reader you have to ask: how invested do we remain in Russ working things out with Colin? Dont forget Russ is also cheating on anything that Russ and Colin have too. I doubt that Colin will be the type to remain with Russ, if and when he finds out. Russ's one true weakness, it seems, is his inability to keep it in his pants, for the people who matter. Nevertheless, i am intrigued enough to find out the reason for Colin' s reticence, assuming it's more than just plain shyness.
