  1. You are right Gary, the Hildas of this world may act mean but they are often just misguided without their knowing. They blindly follow rules without truly questioning them. Some time back, I met a couple of old dears coming out of Church, seriously unhappy that the priest had been seen in public without his dog collar. They were relishing their roles as pillars of society, needed for maintaining the status quo. Of course, I couldn't resist wandering over to them and smiled as I said, 'I think you'll find that Jesus and his his apostles were never once seen wearing a dog collar, either'. You could see they were genuinely floundering for a response but they couldn't come up with one that made sense. Of course, everything needs questioning and testing before it is accepted. And even then it needs questioning again. You have me treading strange ground my friend.
  2. What an unusual and intriguing basis for discussion. I totally felt for Colin at the start, as he was caught between a rock and a hard place and was almost pleading with Daniel to take such a delicate matter off-line and discuss it in private. But while Hilda wanted to focus on appearances and board rules, without any regard to either love or compassion, Daniel was there only to discuss truths, with anyone that would listen. Daniel's insistence on openly questioning Colin over the love he had professed and detailing just who was seducing who, brought an incredible drama and tension to the fore. Of course, the public show was largely for Colin's benefit as Daniel needed Colin to accept him in front of his congregation. We were eventually grateful for William's support, for all the good that Colin and Daniel had done for the community. Hilda's rules bashing was completely undermined when she was exposed as a rather mean spirited individual, that was blind to see the charitable works of the victims that she sought to berate. Had Hilda got her way, and contrived to get Colin dismissed, would Daniel and he have done great work, helping people on the streets? You can be sure of it. But why shouldn't they be able to do the same great work as ministers? I loved the fact that I you got me cringing a lot for Colin, at Daniels outspokenness, in the early part of the story. You chose the setting well.

    Chapter 28

OK so the Council are up to speed re some of Ethan's abilities. I noticed they left out the bit about him killing the first wave of ferals. Wise move. Yes, it was fortunate, that John took Darius to the mill where he scented another Solaris. That allowed Ethan to identify the Solaris without him realising they were on to him. I don't think you can ever trust the loyalty of spy to switch sides, so they need to incarcerate "Paul" for the duration. The party get together was fun. But leaving out all that Casey, Cody and Darius got up to that night was a major oversight. This is not up to your usual standards Wolfie. 👿 I'm sure that you'll make up for it, in the next Chapter. My biggest concern, is that I've always thought Ethan would become the Rogue's main target. They know how the Alpha has effectively prioritised Ethan over his son. So while John Pierre may not know about Ethan's elemental abilities yet, he must be thinking that Ethan is of special value to the Alpha. Charles could have told anyone about Ethan's abilities before he was dismissed from the Council. That information could already be heading out towards the Rogues. Also Ethan may not be as invincible as people think, if they use silver and wolfsbane and whatever drugs they have to quickly immobilise Ethan, when Casey and Aiden aren't around. I really think things can and will get a lot worse in this alternative new plan.

    Chapter 27

Eventful chapter. Didnt take long for Ethan to leave his mark on Aiden. The fact that everyone knows when everyone else has has sex and who with, makes for weird kind of normal. Great to see that Ethan has been officially adopted into the Tucker family name and also into the pack. He will never be alone again. The new Paul Mitchell Solaris has finally infiltrated the pack, leaking all kinds of information about individuals roles and locations. Parker Valley have had enough warnings to strengthen their security. The Rogues have already lost any element of surprise which surely was their biggest advantage.I doubt that the Rogues can win an all out battle now but they can still do a lot of harm by kidnapping key individuals.. Maybe Darius or Ethan will spot the spy soon.

    Chapter 26

Such a brilliant chapter. From Ethan's mood swings and irritations leading up to the full moon. The descriptions of the iridescent blue and silver markings adorning Ethan's furry white head were amazing. I got lucky with my earlier predictions that we have two alphas in Ethan and Aiden. Also that there is something of the four elements water, earth, wind and fire about Ethan. The circle also indicates connection to the Spirit too. All will no doubt be revealed in the remaining chapters. Loved seeing Darius and Casey at play. Casey acts like he's boss but Darius is certainly more than match for him as the wolf struggled to get out from underneath the lion. Casey still hasn't realised that he's no longer a top. 😉 Hope we get to see a lot more of these two. Great chapter. This story just ramped up on the interest scale. Well done Wolfie.

    Chapter 25

Is the Rogue Solaris a second Solaris or is it actually Darius? The timelines of the Rogues and the Parker Valley Pack may not be in sync, exactly as we read them. If a second Solaris isn't spotted by Ethan, then Darius could be a traitor about to befriend Casey. Mary's 'like mother, like son' quote was priceless. I'm trying hard not to let my mind wonder what was in Casey's Dads copy of Playwolf. The possibilities are endless. The newly captured Feral is an oddity. It's like he was Feral from being a very young child or even from birth. He may have trouble learning and adapting need taking under someones wing. It looks like the Rogues are losing interest in Michael. They'll keep him alive for strategic information but his days appear numbered.

    Chapter 24

Great chapter. It was hilarious to see Casey, the Player's, shock when Darius told him he was about to become a bottom for him. I guess Casey is struggling to focus right now. I imagine Darius and Cody are going to be playing a significant role in the upcoming invasion. Cody's Specials Ops and sniping role ought to be put to good use. Great gift of the house. Hope the soundproofing works well for the neighbours sake. It's bad enough just having dogs barking in your neighbourhood but I'd have to draw the line at mating Wolves howling all night long Looking forward to seeing Casey's reaction to Darius. Is he going to take this lying down? 😉

    Chapter 23

Well it seems that Aiden has no inhibitions about keeping anything intimate from Trevor or Casey. They sure wouldn't get away with that, if there was a girl in the mix. You can see why Trevor was feeling out of the loop, having not been told about Ethans Elemental powers. Thats the sort of information he has a right to know immediately about from his now confirmed, future Alpha. Are the town's defences going to be enough against the coming Rogue invasion? I'd be happier if it was by the Lakeside. Fascinating story Wolf.

    Chapter 22

Re: My real regret was not being able to end the chapter with the heart monitor going to a flat line. 😈 Would have made for a nice cliffhanger. Exactly. It was a win win scenario. I didn't miss the Michael smile at getting what he wanted. I just didn't want it tainting something pure and we deserved our moment of joy. F*** Michael. 😉
  10. Wonderful memories of a healthy country upbringing surrounded by family. You are indeed very fortunate G. As with all good things, you've been able to share that with others . I did smile at your tongue being stuck to the frozen post though. I'd only ever seen Jeff Daniels do that before
  11. Many Happy Returns Gary. Best read with one of YOUR favourite pieces. And in keeping with the theme ...

    Chapter 22

I feel the same as @JustALittle on this one. I wish the brutality of the Rogue Leaders mistreatment of Michael had been kept separate from what many will regard as the main romantic and erotic fulfilment of the story so far: the true mating of Aiden and Ethan. That was so brilliantly done, Wolfie. I doubt that it could have been written much better. I just wish that it had been added to the end of the previous chapter instead of being overshadowed by the Rogues brutality, in this chapter. I speculated earlier in this story, that if they made the mistake of exiling Michael, that he would bring back an army. But if this is the way Michael believed it would play out before he even entered that bar, then he was way sicker in the mind, than I ever imagined. Is there no end to his depravity? We can only hope that Ethan's eventual transformation from mating, will turn him into something even more powerful that even the Rogue pack cannot hope to contend with. ❤❤❤ for the love mating scene 👍 for Michael and the Rogues

    Chapter 21

Ha, you old softie Wolfie. I didnt see that coming. Lovely ending. So just to be clear, this proposal of marriage is from Aiden the lycan wolf to Ethan the human. No one's talking about Ethan getting turned just yet, if ever. That said, I can't see Ethan holding on to his human status much longer. For Ethan, it was always about whether he wanted the whole Aiden marriage plus lycan transformation package or not. Ethan's yes here is a farewell to him being a human, if that's what he was. I liked the way you introduced Craig and Marsha and gave them time to be themselves and adjust to the whole same sex, human lycan aspects of Aiden and Ethan. It made their friendship all the more sincere over their two days together. As regards the Michael mystery, I wonder if he managed to slip off the tag on his leg during his transformation into a wolf and then secretly plugged it into a 12V charger in Chris's car. Michael could be anywhere right now but for sure Ethan, Aiden and Michael's parents will be top of his agenda. Just a thought but Ethan never manifested any of the water elemental before he came to Parker Valley. He sure would have been in situations that made him angry or fearful. So why now? Did Michael's bite initiate the elemental in him? If so will Michael have that elemental ability to unlock too?

    Chapter 20

Casey sure is fond of taking Ethan, Aiden and his periscope out on the lake. There's not many that Aiden would trust to hug his Pup, in the raw. Just how shocked must Aiden have been when Ethan threw him over his shoulder and left a big red handprint on his cheeks, like Aiden had done to him? Where did that come from? Ethan is going to be no one's bitch from now on but he seems more than capable of making one of his own, when the occasion demands.😉 The bedroom possibilities must have at least doubled in Aiden's mind. 😜 Anthony and Jonas have added a lot of interest to the story too. Especially, Jonas as there is so little we know about Lunis, other than he will be forced to shift on a full moon. I dare say that with no family to care for them these two will have plenty to share and will end up as good friends One thing seems for sure. That whatever drew these Ferals to Ethan, is a beacon that isn't going to be turned off, anytime soon. Alpha needs to covertly assign Ethan the role of Alien First Contact when these ferals come into their territory. The doctor might consider upping Aidens Blood Pressure medication while he's at it. Interesting turn of events Wolfie. Keep them coming!
  15. Guest034229

    Chapter 19

It seems that these ferals are being drawn to Ethan's force of nature. It's amasing given the distance that they must be feeling Ethan from. Very sad that the Ferals from the previous day were probably drawn to seek Ethan's help too and were killed unnecessarily. Good to see the three previously misguided shifters running to Ethan's aid. Actions proving their apologies, a hundred-fold. How ironic it is that Ethan appears to have the gift to heal lycan strays when he was once a stray help by a lycan himself. I imagine that there must be hundreds and maybe thousands of ferals that will be drawn to Ethan now. The Lycan Councils will need to get together eventually and offer them their own Pack territory with Ethan and Aiden as their joint Alphas. That's way further down the line but I can see it happening.

    Chapter 18

Probably not but that doesn't explain the Council's decision not to execute, especially as the Alpha said he was willing to support his son's execution on many occasions. I suppose my point is that once he went with exile, it was John's responsibility and obligation to ensure that the alternative was safe for the protection of those under his care. Sticking a tag on the foot of a psychotic will never be that. On the issue of domination, I think you chose right having them equal. Ethan was done with his days of submission and it certainly wouldn't have seemed right to have an Alpha dominated by his mate. I also forgot to post a comment I mistakenly put in chapter 17. Why doesn't the water freeze and break the plumbing during Ethan's two hour long marathon sex session. Are we to take it that Aiden wasn't up to the task? I'm going to go with: that the water needs to be running in order to respond to Ethan's mind. That explains the lake and river. The water being static in the pipes is safe. Or is there a better answer? 😉
  17. Guest034229

    Chapter 18

Ethan needs to be very careful with his words. Next time he says "I'm ready" he may not get sufficient time to explain before he's pinned down and bit. Saying "no I meant: I'm dressed and ready to go out for the evening" will count for very little, after that. Its good to see that Aiden isn't acting like a pure dominant male even if he's physically bigger. Clearly he respects Ethan and his hugely powerful ability to control the elements and views their relationship from the position of equals. Always a good place to be. The stay of execution and raeducing the sentence to exile needed to be made conditional on their acceptance of having done and the show of remorse. As it stands, there is insufficient in place to prevent Michael from rushing back to complete the hate crime that he so clearly expresses he wants to commit. It is obvious to everyone that Michael will cut off his GPS tag and try to return to kill Ethan. He will be happy to forfeit his life in the process, if needed. The right to Kanly should never have been refused to Aiden either. The Alpha rules by the enforced rules of tradition. Refusing those traditions undermines his own authority to rule and enforce too. There is no practical solution for Psychotic patients, other than high security incarceration or their execution. That the Lycan Council, John and Mark regard the relocation of Michael to a distant College as a suitable alternative, speaks volumes for their lack of acumen. Nice people, yes; capable leaders, not based on this.

    Chapter 17

There's a real power to the imagery of the fog, coalescing into sparkling diamonds as they circle about Aiden and Ethan's makes out sessions plus Ethan's bright sapphires. Very cool. Then onto Michael's hearing. That guy just doesn't get it and isnt going to be stopped by anything. They cant hand out life sentences so its exile or execution. Unfortunately, it looks like they will settle for exile and that could be a critical mistake. Michael is a schemer and will come back with an army making them regret not executing him. And the 4th of July may be famous for its celebration of Independence but for Ethan and Aiden it's the exact opposite as Ethan calls time on his independence and seeks to tie the knot.

I'm sure you've got good friends here Tim. I'm always good for a chat in a confidential memo too. Hang tough buddy.

    One Who Saw Me

Wow, I wish I'd read this sooner Tim. There's almost nothing more uplifting than seeing souls connect, beyond the physical, focusing on the heights that can be reached and never on the depths of where one may stand. To all the Isabellas of this world, whose enormity of heart, isn't quite enough for all the Lauries of this world, that have too little. Our eyes see only dirt when there is dirt within them. That is why we are asked to remove it, so that we can see beyond, to how real Love acts and to how real Love feels. For sure, Isabella's heart lives on in all those she met and in these things that you write. Thank you for sharing 💕

    Chapter 16

That's cool if Ethan is an Elemental. I thought that way back when the water fountain froze. Question is will he just be a water elemental or will he be able to control Earth, Wind and Fire too. His eyes will have to change colour too. Red for Fire, White for Wind and Green for Earth. Maybe all those years playing Magic, The Gathering weren't wasted after all. I was destined to understand what's going on here I wasn't expecting a lunis wolf to be such a great size. I thought it would be like any other wolf except on 2 legs. Is that normal or some genetic modification? This one specifically had his sights set on Ethan. Why are they moving into the area. I'm thinking back to the elders talk on the Egyptian, Roman and Greek gods. Fighting it out using earth bound protagonists. Has one of the gods put Ethan here for a reason and pissed off another god of lunis wolves big time? Time to stop speculating. I'm already deep in the Crazy zone. Unfortunately, John, Dan and Rafe are not going to be able to keep something this big under wraps and away from the Lycan Council. You dont need a crystal ball to see that there is big Trouble coming for Ethan and the Parker Valley Pack. I've also still got a feeling that Michael is not done playing havoc and may be the one spilling the beans about Ethan's true nature to the Lycan Council. His Plan A was to kill Ethan himself. His Plan B is to get the Lycan Council to do it. Either way Aiden is screwed.

    Chapter 15

he saw water drops hanging in midair, being hit by sunlight, sparkling like hundreds of diamonds. ...It was like the water was dancing in the air around us while we were kissing. Whatever it was, it was beautiful.” His eyes focused on Ethan’s again. “I guess nature wanted to compete with your absolute beauty.” I guess we're all saps for loving this scene. If Ethan is capable of producing this kind of beauty from kissing alone, then I think we are all in for a real treat, further down the line. Just dont forget your brollys! Ethan seems to be more than an elemental. He is so in tune with nature and the animal kingdom, that even the horse recognises him as something special and insists on taking full control of his dismount. There is a real sense that something majorly incredible is about to emanate from Ethan's transformation. And we still have so much of the story to go. I agree that all the punishments have so far been fair and proportionate. Connor and Kevin were as much victims of Michael and Chris's threats and caught between a rock and a hard place much like Trevor. Robert has probably only just avoided Michael's and Chris's fate because he could never be the brains behind any outfit and just eagerly follows whatever the other two suggest. Michael and Chris's fate seem sealed now that the Alpha has insisted on overriding anything lenient with a death penalty. Ironically, only an incredibly severe punishment can save them now. Once again, great writing WolfM.
  24. Guest034229

    Chapter 14

Michael's actions are tantamount to treason which I imagine could be punishable by death. If John had the same totalitarian sociopathic streak that his son has, then Michael would surely be executed. But i can't see Michael's father and mother allowing that to happen, even if John has offered to be guided by his Beta and Sheriff. The Sheriff wouldn't do that to John anyway. Michael is likely to be handed over for imprisonment by the Lycan Council. That will get rid of one problem but probably open up an even bigger one. Michael is likely to offer up information about the risk posed by Ethan's elemental powers in exchange for his freedom. Could that lead to the Lycan Council attempting to destroy Ethan and replace John with Michael, as Alpha? What a nightmare that would be.

    Chapter 13

This is such a great story WolfM. I had enough enjoyment just witnessing that detailed celebration of Ryan's first turning, and seeing how excited he was sharing it with his family afterwards. Zach's roll of the eyes: such a natural response haha. Ethan is now experiencing what it means to be part of a close knit family and the enjoyment of sharing unforgettable moments in their lives. As if that were not enough, to then follow that up with that dramatic attack scene on the bridge and Ethan's unconscious ability to freeze water into ice and direct it like a weapon. I wonder what form Ethan will take when he mates. It may not be a wolf. An Elemental Abominable Snowman perhaps? Ethan would be made up as a Dragon but there wouldnt be many places to go unnoticed outside of the polar caps. This is all exciting stuff. And finally the Alpha realises he must deal seriously with his miscreant son. I wonder what he will do. Maybe bar his eligibility from ever becoming his Alpha successor/ make Aiden his Alpha heir or give Michael a long prison sentence or maybe even exile? Maybe Michael just needs a bit of loving from a strong none-of-your-crap type boyfriend?
