  1. It's a critical chapter where everything is being drawn back from the brink of disaster. I've repeatedly said it was a mistake for Jordan to ever get involved with his sperm donor, dead or alive. I still do. But at least I can now see how his funeral is being used to bring them back together. Ethan, against all my expectations you have managed to persuade me that Jordan's efforts for his father here, may have been necessary for Jordan to get closure on how badly he was treated. Good to see that Noahs dad has thought better of his initial poor reactions to his son. If I were Noah I would stay away from his mother until she could apologise or at least relent on her vitriol and ask for time to adjust. Otherwise, it will be a toxic environment. Noah just needs to assure his dad that all is good between them and they can meet up away from his dad's wife. At least until she shows genuine signs of wanting to be the mother of who Noahs is and not who she wants him to be. This will almost certainly bring Noah and Jordan back together, especialywhenJordan knows Noah has come out to his entire family. Brody is going to be upset by the turn of events but at least he wasn't too heavily involved with Jordan yet.
  2. Jenn has given the perfect response to Noah. I'm pleased that she has the integrity to keep the confidences of both Noah and Jordan. But Noah asks Jenn the perfect question, knowing that she wants to see them back together: "what would you do, if you were me?". Jenn can answer that honestly without breaking anyone's trust, and boy does she provide a great answer to Noah when she says don't bother with Jordan again unless you are 100% committed to putting him first above anyone else, including your family. Noah critically needs to take note of what Jenn means when she says that Jordan is moving on. The boat is about to sail Noah, so get your lasy ass on there before it's too late. As to Jordan's dad, I know I'm probably going out on a limb here but I don't know why Jordan feels the need to even attend his sperm donors funeral. I suppose it's a measure of Jordan's big heart but he's doing it for the memory of an imagined being that never ever existed; one that Jordan wanted, who would care in the slightest for his son. Sometimes being a biological father alone does not earn you any right to a part of your offspring's heart.

    Chapter Thirty

“And we’ve done everything we could as parents,” she yells back. “This house, your tuition, the clothes on your back. And this is how you repay us? This is what we get in return? A son who doesn’t care at all about his parents!” Since when was parenthood reduced to buying your childrens abject obedience? There was love in this family but it always played second fiddle to achievements and image. No wonder Noah chose image over his love for Jordan. He'd had a lifetime being indoctrinated with that philosophy. I do still think his brother will offer his support. Noah won't lose everything he holds dear. And Go Jordan! He deserves some fun after bearing the brunt of Noah's family values. In time, Noah will eventually get his act together and prove himself a worthy boyfriend for someone. With any luck his and Jordan's paths will cross again.
  4. OK the jury was just about to retire to decide whether to convict Noah of being a spineless, selfish oaf and whether the defence of duress due to a heartless, bigoted mother and imagined other family members was sufficient. Then at the final moments Noah enters the court with one final statement. It best be a massively redeeming one Noah because I've read all the jurors statements above and it looks like you are going down for a long, long time. Not much to add, after reading the above, except why would Sebastian deny anything about the video at this stage. I think it may be someone else; possibly Chris. Another intriguing read, Ethan. No issues, at all with chapter length here.
  5. Wow... what the heck is going on? My mind is working overtime but I think Sebastard has agreed not to do any more harm to Jordan (ie not post the video) if Noah breaks up with Jordan. If so, Noah has shown himself to be weak and easily manipulated and lacking in the basic acumen of how to deal with bullies. The fact that he has done what Jordan said he would for Sebastian, plus ignoring all the sound advice from everyone to stay away and not be manipulated by him, makes it all the worse. I'm almost done with Noah's stupidity now. Jordan's mum was absolutely great in her response as was Aiden in getting Noah's mum to show her true colours. Now Jordan or Jenn have to clean up more of Noah's mess and figure out why he is really breaking up with Jordan. Noah is a walking disaster at the moment and not all of it can be blamed on his homophobic mother. Still another great chapter Ethan but we need to see some resolutions appearing in the next one. P.S. I think you would do well to remove the redundant part where Jordan gets his mum to explain why she didn't think he was joking when he announced he was gay. Having seen her son pay a surprise visit home, in tears and disappearing to his room to sleep it off plus the sincerity and seriousness of his demeanour, obviously it was not a joke. That was both redundant and distracting to everything about that moment.
  6. And so the drama unfolds. Sebastian is such a twisted deformity. I get that Noah is really under stress right now but that's the time you show true character. He's totally right not to come out to his parents at this time. They can't handle their son being gay and are highly likely to cancel funding Noah's education. But Noah refusing to confirm that he would come out in a year or two was incredibly brutal and left Jordan with no realistic hope for their future together. Jordan was definitely right to leave. Its all very much in the heat of argument, so hopefully both will walk away, calm down and say what they truly mean, in the cool light of day. If Noah, doesn't feel regret or the need to change then Jordon deserves someone better. Worse still, I'm sure that Sebastian will insist that Noah becomes his bottom as part of the deal to destroy the video. I fear that Noah is going to do something even more dumb and agree to it. The Titanic is about to sink. So sad.
  7. Don't ever want this story to end. I need my Noah and Jordan fix. Aiden really came to life in this chapter. That weekend away with the four amigos was perfect. Will Jenn and Adrian ever get together? I hope so. I thought Adrian was definitely going to get a real birthday treat off Noah and Jordan at one stage. I'm not ruling that out for the future, lol. The whole status thing is going to take time. Jordan seems ready for his friends and family but he may get more than he bargained for from some of his teammates. That may clip his wings a little. As for Noah, well he will surely have to reconstruct the second "bedroom" now. But that should be an interesting dinner at Jen's with everyone there. Noah should just have time with his mum alone, if he wants the college fund contributions to continue. Sad but true. His mum is only going to be there a few days. Savouring this one at a sedate pace. like Noah, I'm going to take my time over this.
  8. Brilliant read Ethan. Loved hearing everything about their everyday lives together. Somehow it never came close to the mundane, even though you were just talking about cleaning, grocery shopping and other chores. Not sure how you managed to make it all so riveting. I also loved the way that Jordan is gradually getting Noah to break down the barriers in public, from the fascinating ten minutes in the gay bar through to the long sweaty night in the club getting ogled and felt up. And boy was that a hot way to finish the night. I don't think you can top that! 😉
  9. Aiden took the news of Jordan being gay, really well. For a while there, I really thought Aiden had a thing for Jordan. That would have been interesting. Clearly, they're in for a ground breaking sex session this evening. But I don't know what they can they get Jenn that isn't battery operated other than some leathers and a whip, perhaps.😉
  10. Yes another great chapter Ethan. Was dying to hear how Jordan would eventually let Adrian know. It needed be a private affair in a controlled environment that both could walk away from if things didn't go well or Adrian just needed time to process. Instead Jordan has contrived the worst situation possible where everyone he knows is there and he forgets about the Jenn connection. Jordan couldnt have managed a more public coming out party, if he tried. The four of them need to bail to someone private and Jordan needs to come clean to his lifelong friend: Adrian. Anything less risks insulting Adrian as being regarded as an untrustworthy friend and the last person to know. That would about end their friendship.

    9 Houses Down

The undisputed master of this genre. Captured the thrill of the chase. Perfect in every detail.
  12. What was all that about? For sure Jordan said he couldn't move in for lots of reasons. Clearly he changed his mind, realising you only live once. But that works too. One night together and all will be forgotten. Just hope Jordon remembers to fold away his boxers neatly before jumping into bed. Couldn't stand another 4 days of not talking 😉 And what a great friend Jenn is turning out to be for them both. I doubt that their relationship would have survived without her intervention; stubborn males.

    Chapter Twenty

Back into the reading groove after a busy holiday. Sheesh! It's impossible to get some private downtime at Noah's home. I was so sure Noahs mum was going to overhear his conversation with Jordan and realise what was going on. As inquisitive as she is, I'm sure she's close to finding out. Emily clearly had her hopes dashed and wasn't dragged along by her mom as an unwilling participant. Glad Jordan got to enjoy the rest of his holidays at his mums home. As for Aiden, my best guess is that he's been kicked out of home for whatever reason, and is looking to come back and stay at Jordan's, even as a temporary measure. I suppose the alternative of informing Aiden that he was moving in with Noah wouldn't work either as Aiden would want to move in with them. That was enough time apart. Looking forward to the next Chapter.

    Chapter Nineteen

Poor Jordan. His Dad is a total ass. Always was; always will be! I was definitely against this visit in the first place. His Dad is not an invalid and he knows where Jordan lives or can find out with very little effort. So what better proof that his dad has changed than him making the token trip to visit his son and not having the meeting handed to him on a plate. Having Jordan go to all the trouble of visiting his father, was therefore a huge error of judgement. I'm also a little annoyed with his mum for really selling this trip repeately, when she clearly hadn't seen an ounce of hard evidence that her useless ex, was anything but. I get that she didnt want Jordan to have any regrets but why not get his lazy ass of a sperm donor to make an effort. Instead his mum has exposed Jordan to another in the series of mental abuse. Jordan should have left on the afternoon when he was left alone on the first day so no need to worry when his sperm donor passes away. There was one interesting typo that suggest Jordan may be far better hung than you've been letting on Ethan: I wrap your cock around my fingers... I'm glad that Jordan chose not to come out to his biological father. That is something his mum deserves to hear first. He doesn't need to be around to witness how his homophobic father will react. What a sad waste of a Christmas for Jordan apart from the phone sex and hearing from his friend Aiden. I wonder what news Aiden has got. He wouldn't have left his girlfriend in Oz if he just got engaged so maybe he's broken up with her. How will he react to Jordan's news or will Jordan even tell him. The story continues to be rivetting Ethan but that doesn't preclude me from being angry at what's transpired.

    Chapter Eighteen

Wow, a lot did go on in that chapter and with the Christmas festivities, I was only able to read that in about five seperate sessions over five days. First things first, that was a nasty trick with the opening paragraph. Making it seem like they were both about to break up and then going back a week. So I've lived the past 5 days with the thought that it was all going to end in disaster. That is no way to treat your readers Ethan. OK you sort of redeemed yourself with the ending but that was a lousy thing to have hanging over such a long chapter. 😉 As for Sebastian, it's really frustrating that Noah doesn't just let him have it with both barrels about all the hateful stuff that he said and did and call him out for the despicable tyrant that he really is. It's not Noahs style to threaten to out Sebastian to his Volleyball team but the threat of it should be enough to get him to quit his mind games. Sebastian just isn't going to go away, is he. So Jordan eventually experienced being on the receiving end. That whole dialogue, in the kitchen with Jenn and Noah with Jordan listening in, was really intriguing. I was also thoroughly amused by the whole description of Jordan's bottoming experience, his discomfort and the logistics afterthoughts. At last they get to express their love for one another and the natural order of the world continues. The most fundamental expression of their love is that Jordan is going to move in with Noah when he gets back. "On tap" sex and full time living together. They might welcome having classes apart. 😉 As for Jordan's dad, I don't get why Jordan has to spend a whole week with him. One day is more than he deserves and certainly more time than his dad ever gave to him, since he left home. It seems like such an unnecessary waste of a week, that Jordan and Noah could have had together. Plus you know that Sebastian is going to exploit that situation to the full and Noah is not going to be strong enough to stand up for himself. Arrrrgh! Frustrating!!! Still, another great chapter Ethan, subject to the odd caveat mentioned above.
  16. "Simply incredible writing Comsie and without doubt, my personal favourite drama of yours." Quote after reading chapter 4.
  17. I was blown away with this chapter, considering this story was originally only penned to be 2 or 3 long and, I suspect, this was an afterthought. First there was all the exhilaration you portrayed at just having them entering Jamies home and the rush to tidy Jamie's room. The shock of Ricky entering into his bedroom: "He's like...having a unicorn in your house". What a brilliant line. You had everyone utterly convinced that Ricky was enjoying the company of his heterosexual friend and then out of nowhere Ricky asks but wait you're gay right? In fact I think these paragraphs contain some of the most powerful drama that I have read from you Comsie. "Hehehe, scream for you?" "Yeah. I'm pretty sure that you can tell...I'm not much of a chick magnet." Ricky gave me a sideways look, and he said, "But...wait...you're gay right?" Was I displaying the kind of sudden shock and horror on my face that I felt in my heart when he asked me that? What the...omigod! I'm feeling SO humiliated right now! "I...I mean, like...I'm just...sorta..." I began to fidget and tremble uncontrollably at the startling realization that the one boy on the whole planet that I might NOT want to know about my sexuality before telling him myself had been secretly given spoilers before I even got the chance! Arrrrgh! "I'm...you know..." I stuttered. Ricky's eyes widened, and he quickly responded, "Oh, wow, I'm sorry. Was that insensitive? I didn't mean to just blurt it out like that. I swear, I wasn't trying to be rude." I immediately let him off the hook, even as I was turning several different shades of purple in the face. "Nah. It's ok." "Honestly. I didn't mean anything by it, ok?" He said. As readers we got to share in the utter devastation that Jamie must have felt in that moment and how it made a mockery of everything that he held to be true, in everything that preceded it. The revelations that followed were just as profound for the honesty that they both shared. It also appears that Ricky is about to confront his own, equally shocking moment of truth, in his own life. Simply incredible writing Comsie and without doubt, my personal favourite drama of yours.

    Chapter Seventeen

That chapter seemed to cover a great deal. I think it's always a big mistake to discuss what was meant by a particular phrase and especially one as big as I love you. Stuff like that needs to be said and experienced in the moment. It's fine to think about what it may mean personally. But trying to get another to explain exactly what they meant is never a right course of action. It stops people acting naturally and forces them to think cerebrally instead. Questioning whether they actually do or don't. It's a recipe for disaster. I doubt Jordan will ever want to say I love you to Noah again, without having a full transcription of everything that it does or doesn't include. Noah what have you done? And what's this with checking the averages of everything on the internet? Imagine how awful you would feel, if you read the average male was bigger than 4". Don't read that stuff, it will do you no good. 😉 And Noah, kick Sebastian in the nads as hard as your uncoordinated feet are able. He more than deserves it. Great read Ethan.

    Chapter Sixteen

Great chapter. Jenn has finally forgiven Jordan and begins to realise the benefits and fun of them all being good friends together. Practice is certainly making perfect for Jordan topping Noah. Funny moment when Noah told Jordan "it's my turn now". Loving Jordans discomfort at the idea of switching roles. Sebastian is never going to get rid of his smug satisfaction knowing that he largely got away with abusing Noah. He still thinks he owns him and he needs payback before the end of this story. And finally Jordan saying he loves Noah as he fell asleep. I'm tempted to say well that's obvious isn't it. Jordan would never have offered to come out to his world, if he didn't truly love Noah. Now Noah has the reassurance of hearing those words for the first time too. It's time for Noah to start contemplating of a future that includes his mate, if he hasn't already.

    Chapter 35

Do they really need to hold this trial when there's a kill on sight order already in place? Good to hear it nevertheless. We get to hear Michael's attrocities summed up and presented for all to hear. Jackie needs the satisfaction of hurting her spawn but I want to see him formally executed. The only problem is that they seem to be prevaricating over this. I do wonder if they are weak enough to hand him to the corrupt Council who set him free or at least protect him. Would like to see Gaelen freed for all the help he gave.

    Desire

So true. Dont try to own everyhing you desire. Be happy reflecting on what you have and sharing what you can observe. I like the fact that your poetry has a rawness, an edge.

    Time

Time and again, time starts and it ends, it's time to wake up and see time as our friend. There's so much thought about time in there. Almost several poems in one, each worthy of a return visit. The 'Maybe' verses were a great overture. In that simple tick tock beat you captured a large part of how we value what's important to us, past present and future and in the labels that we attach with 'permanence' to things that are really transient.
  23. Guest034229

    Chapter Fifteen

I can't speak to the original format but as it stands, this version is perfectly fine. I do think Jenn is acting slightly out of character in recent weeks, in a couple of small ways. She is a pretty switched on girl, yet doesn't figure out immediately, why a shoeless Jordan is hiding in Noahs bedroom and needs it spelling out that they are more than just friends. 🤔 Also, I know she's upset about a lot of things right now but she is playing silly mind games with Noah in the cafe. She's asking him to agree to do major things to prove he is still a friend but then berates him for agreeing, saying that he doesn't know her at all because she would never ask him to do that. Maybe that's just who Jenn is. We do love her but whoever gets to be with her, is in for one he'll of a ride. 🙂 I'm glad Noah was finally able to open up sexually with Jordan. But I was surprised they went all the way on the first attempt. Have they not heard of the joys of slowly working their way through all of the bases. No wonder Noah had a hard time committing to sex. It was clearly an all or nothing affair, as far as he was concerned. It's funny that Jordan seems petrified of being on the receiving end. It did seem painful. I can't wait to read about how he copes with that. Another great chapter Ethan.

    Chapter Fourteen

So Noah couldn't bring himself to stay the first night. I suppose from a position of safety, he realised what a lousy boyfriend he was becoming. At least he took the initiative after seeing how much Jordan life was being affected, fighting with Sebastian the douche and then losing out on the Volleyball and other social events. So it was great that Sexy Waldo and Sexy Vampire finally spent the night cuddled up. Great morning in bed sharing their most important personal memories. But inevitably they get caught red handed by Jenn. She'll be fine, after she's beaten them senseless for a day or two. But here's a big chance for Noah and Jordan to show their true worth as close friends and help Jenn deal with her mum's life threatening condition. Get it right this time boys.

    Chapter Thirteen

First things first. I know they've been busy but they should both have gone over to Jenn's, a week ago, to explain what was going on. Best friends make time for eachother, period. Face the music; clear the air. If she finds out now, it becomes a far more serious issue of trust. That said, I'm really liking the gentle humour between Jordan and Noah. It's who they are, so this is what life is going to be like for them. Jordan realising that just because Noah doesn't call him out on exposing his bod, at the running track, it doesn't mean he's fooling anyone. And Noah coming up with tricks to wear down his energizer bunny. But best of all was Jordan's discomfort at being pressed to name male actors that he was hot for. Noah was having a lot of fun with that and it also emphasised the learning curve of someone new to experiencing a same sex friend. I'm sure we will be treated to a lot more fun times as we witness Jordan's exploration in this new territory. Of course, Noah needs to stay. He brought up the possibility of making out like naughty teenagers, so he's clearly comfortable with the idea. And he surely has to know that Jordan is no Sebastian by now. Its time for a little light relief Noah, and payback for teasing Jordan so much. Great story Ethan.
