    That we are the ancients who have created hydro-electric dams, the resulting electricity, concrete, fuse boxes and moving trams that astound the motley, yet cohesive, band of travelers out to reset the post-apocalyptic world we have left them makes for the amazing story G. Kees has provided. Thank you.

    Laura, I agree with several of the comments that you have pushed this — and us — to the edge. I will probably stop reading until I know the story is finished. Unnecessarily dragged out endings are not for me. Love your writing and stories, but this has now approached tedious for me.

    I actually think Mr. Wright would have frowned upon the modernist endeavors of the late 20th and early 21st centuries. They are devoid of the many qualities Wright championed — sense and respect of place, use of natural materials and the high level of finish with which they were employed— both interior and exterior. He is not without his faults, but he was a visionary.

    Love that Doc is the first to respond with his always insightful comments. (Is he also your editor?!) Historical fiction is a favorite genre of mine. Especially when a gay element is involved. While music is not a driving force or motivation in my life, you have totally captured my interest with your skillful erudition. Definitely not the typical story here.
