This opening chapter did a great job of establishing Caleb's mindset and depression my first reaction to the cliffy ending is that this is going to be a wake up call for Caleb but since this is @kbois I'm bracing for anything. Warning a couple of weird observations coming from me Giles sighed. “Caleb, I’m sure everyone will agree. I’ve been patient so far. However, we’re all worried about you. This would have been a great place to break the third wall with Giles saying "Besides things have to change @kbois just posted the first about you" “Hey, you still have a standing invitation to come by for poker night. I’m gettin’ tired of taking these guys to the cleaners. None of them can bluff worth a shit.” He chuckled. Actually I think you're getting soft on us the previous story had dead bodies discovered less then halfway through the first chapter and here its only someone getting shot and not even dead. YEESH what a wimp.

Very suspenseful.I bet prey are stressed out 24/7. The way Pops used his antlers as a Buck would a real Buck have been able to do that or was it because Pop used his human reasoning on how to use the antlers. I'm undecided whether Marty's dad visiting him is a good thing or bad thing.One thing Marty can do to redeem himself after he gets out is to speak to kids and say in graphic details what happened to him .Sort of like the scared straight program . There were some things mentioned that for me raised red flags like why would the crepe machine be missing and why are the kids at the home getting a meager breakfast. I hope I'm wrong but there might be some dishonest employees the ones who were hired after the original staff.
