I would say Niran underestimated Kent when Kent didn't take the bait.In retrospect he might have tried distracting Pete so he wouldn't be available to give Kent his consistent sound advice. Another tactic I could see happening as Niran lawyers doing delay, delay,delay. Unless Niran needs this resolved quickly

It is critical that the bike be inspected and a report filed.... I bet Kent has been giving the bike close inspection every morning before taking off with Devon.Speaking of which has Scott asked Devon why he's all of a sudden being driven to school every morning? And the idea of Scott's Mom picking them up after school is worrying while it would be reckless for Niran's thugs to do something to them it can't be ruled out. I'm sure Niran is aware of Kent's military background but does he know what he did in the military specifically? It looks like Kent knows how to counter Niran move. My fantasy scene is Kent and Niran in a confrontation Mano a Mano without his thugs around -

Where I live the bridge or overpass if you will over the interstate have these big tall screens (for lack of a better word they might be called something else) attached to the sides that would prevent throwing things and anybody thinking of suicide actually a pretty simple solution but for years nobody seemed to think of that -
