Justice Campbell, although fictious, brought Justice John Archibald Campbell to my mind. From earlier comments it doesn't appear to be purposeful, but still had me revisiting the Dred Scott Decision, Justice Cambell's views on succession, and his resignation to become part of the Confederacy. I liked how this chapter was peppered with the Obama's and then this particular name was used for the justice.

I agree with Andy, the key to learning about ourselves and exploring life, both internally and out in the world, is to not do it alone. Life is so much richer if you have someone to walk beside you. This truly is a lovely, perfect ending and one that makes us all smile.

Not for the first time, I sincerely wished your characters were real. YES to absolutely everything said to Rubio. Make that a Hell Yes! Pam hit a nerve for me. It is beyond a pet peeve for me when parents 'correct' or outright discipline their older child in front of the child's peers or other adults. It becomes about humiliation and a power play instead of correction. By the time that 'child' hits adulthood, I believe that only conversations and mutual dialogue, after careful consideration, should happen between a parent and their offspring when there is a disagreement. Even more care should be taken when the discussion is between the spouse or partner of your offspring. To say that Pam wayyyyyy overstepped is putting it mildly. CJ was true to himself and adequately put Pam in her place but there is a storm brewing that Pam doesn't see coming. And she will deserve what she gets.

I married into a family of antiquers and it must be genetic because our (now an adult) child shares the passion. You wrote perfectly the thrill of finding that extraordinary something you’ve always had an eye out for.

Oh, this story is already shaping up to be really good! The tiny details, like Colby gasping for air after taking a long, cold drink of water or the boys using napkins and only their free hand to read while eating their cut with a pizza wheel, tomato wrapper quesadillas really brings everything to life.

Awww… he is a strong, silent type. Holds a lot in. I knew you’d find a way to ease his story out of him.- 95 comments

Chapter 7-Epilogue and Author's Notes

Such a great ending to a wonderful collaboration! You both made writing comedy while interlacing beloved characters and die hard fans look pretty dang easy. And the game show theme is sheer genius! What you accomplished takes a bunch of talent and time. Thanks for giving all of us several weeks of smiles! -
Oh my word, I am still shaking with adrenaline! I should mention I am just a tad competitive. Just a tad. As in, I was SCREAMING at ‘myself’ CLASSIC AUTHORS, CLASSIC AUTHORS, CLASSIC AUTHORS…WHAT THE F! DON’T PASS…CLASSIC AUTHORS!!! Great job! Exceptionally hilarious and fun read. I’m sure it was harder to do then it appears. I’ll be smiling the rest of the day!

Dante fully committing and beautifully expressing his love for Tani is the balm needed to soothe centuries of pain. They are bonded and united, even though still cautious.

Even though it wasn’t ‘my’ Caleb, at least a Caleb won! … and Tyler can shift!!

😂 It’s not possible to goof on gooey goodness! You gotta make these. And the bacon DOES crisp. It kinda caramelizes. And I use cayenne pepper instead of black. Go for it. You’ll love it! I have now put all the ingredients on this weeks shopping list. Dang it I’m hungry.

I am happy for Mama, but it is Team Sandi all the way. I mean, come on… chocolate pudding! I actually make Elaine’s recipe for the Bacon-wrapped Pineapple. Except, you dip the wrapped pineapples in the sauce she made and then bake. Serve on a ritz cracker or with toothpicks. Think she’d have done better, because they come out of the oven all gooey goodness. Ok…now I am hungry.

It makes me smile to hear from a few beloved characters. Loved how the info about elementals was woven into the game show.- 126 comments

Seems to me this is the very sad life of a cigarette and another very good reason to not take up the habit. Poor thing.

Rant? I wouldn’t call your contemplations a rant. They are validating. Yes, validating. That particular goal? I think you’ve got it. Your eloquent words express hard to grasp thoughts and emotions. By the deceptively simple act of writing this piece you are giving an intimate voice to what not only you but many others feel. I am grateful you find the time to explore your affinity for writing, not only in this work but for all of your stories. Therapeutic? I sincerely hope writing this has been a cathartic experience. You make a difference.

Since you are up anyway 😉, go back to Spirit Wolves and re-read chapters 4 and 24. Caleb is described in Ch 4 and explains his terrible, life altering decisions in Ch 24. My theory is that Caleb’s training as a high ranking state trooper, as well as how he ran his pack (lots of educated pack member to include some in genetics), plays a role in his helping to find a remedy / cure. I’m sure it’s more complex and angst filled than that, but certainly he had the connections and the desire to atone for his misdeeds.

Um, you meant to say our boy Kage (yes, please) with a cameo from Caleb, right?

Cure, remedy… tomato, tomahto. If it brings a brighter future for the pups and CALEB (insert heart eyes here) helped to find the way forward, I am all good. But I’m also holding you to your promise that we haven’t heard the last of Kage. Just tossing that out there. You know, for Book 3 and all. The book where Caleb is redeemed. And finds his mate. And where Kage pops back up and we understand even more about the piece of him that’s in Elijah that spreads warmth whenever Elijah is with Ashton. Elijah who apparently won’t be having a throuple. But who has been given total acceptance by Kage to love again.

The second book in a planned trilogy (readers are already requesting a fourth book), follows Elijah and his best friend Tyler as they confront the evils of the shifter world. It’s an emotional journey filled with love, loss, loyalty, betrayal, self discovery, and the ever present struggle between good verses evil. The story is expertly woven with humor, a vibrant descriptive narrative and nail biting worthy drama. Take your time reading each chapter; there are hidden clues and tidbits threaded throughout.

Yes! Exactly. Caleb. Who deserves a redemption story. Where he also meets his forever person (who is not Corbin). That Caleb. You know, the one who helped discover the CURE. 😎😎😎😎😎

I can’t believe I’m saying that a cliffhanger is a satisfying ending, yet here I am! CALEB (insert heart eyes here) excitedly announcing a cure could not have come at a better time. It is well worth the wait knowing the pups’ lives can be bettered. The upcoming battle is shaping up to be quite the showdown. Sebastian is ready. King Auberon handled Puck and Brioc, and pledged his support to Sebastian (pixies sound a tad ferocious.) Now that Huntington’s location has been discovered, Book 3 will be an interesting, high stakes game of chess with an epic match up. Exceptional job tying up loose ends and threading those throughout the chapter. Sometime very early on the characters in this story took a hold of all of us and began to live within us. We are leaving them in a good spot, taking care of each other and preparing for what lies ahead.

Actually you are both correct. Enya is derived from Saint Eithne who was the mother of Saint Columba. Enya means ‘kernel of a nut or a seed’. The male version of Enya is Aidan and means ‘little fire’. So, a girl named Enya is associated with both fire and nuts/seeds/grains.
