Thanks, SR! Glad you liked my little Corporate Galactic continuation.

Oh. You know, I didn't really think about that. Huh. Aerohn, a combo of human and Xiavan. I imagined Rohn with his humanoid shape, still walking around and not floating. He could have a purple tint across his skin, or perhaps a thin membrane, resembling the Xiaven's. If this wasn't an anthology submission, I'd go back in and throw in a "look in the mirror" scene.

Ah, so many questions left behind. Mostly for reader imagination. Let's see if I can elaborate a bit: Fusion/combination: A melding of the minds. Was it painful? Was it sexual? I'd say neither. The Xiaven are fairly boring, so I imagine the process was quick and had very few side effects. Any other gaseous matings: Ylvi's findings also stated the Payot were also compatible, but knowing those firm-handed and easily excited people... Yeah, probably not. What else has/will happen: I "have" started another tale in my Corporate Galactic universe, so the Xiaven and Aerohn have a chance of being mentioned. The only problem is I've been so caught up in my western WIP. "Cow-man" takes priority at the moment.

As someone who hasn't immersed in this universe, this was an interesting tale of two men who balance each other. Absolutely enjoyed reading this short tale!

Normally, I'm able to write quip-laced and hype-fueled reviews, but not now. This story is one to truly sit with and enjoy. This was an artistically crafted piece by a brilliant author. Even as I type, I am still in awe. Take the time to sit down with this short tale. You won't regret it.

This is a beautiful story. Simply beautiful. Two men grieving, but not truly knowing each other. Excellent work, Mr. Owens.

2023 Anthology - Leap of Faith *Week Two*

Yay, batch #2!!! Me, dying of impatience again. -
Xiava. It seemed like a life-changing opportunity. The culture had to be more subtle than Earth’s. A man can only handle so many socials and toxicity. Being a historian was Rohn Harghu’s dream. He accomplished it after numerous years of post-formal education, but the reward had yet to come. Promises of government and university jobs were never presented. When Rohn saw the vague posting for a Galactic Union employment opportunity on Xiava, Rohn’s interest was piqued. The planet was the newes

With all options exhausted, it's time for Rohn Harghu to take a risk. Despite his family's negative opinions, he has decided to gamble on an odd employment opportunity. To completely uproot his life and relocate to another planet seemed normal, but to go to the newest member of the Galactic Union? Little was known about the Xiaven. Rohn aimed to change that.

YouTube is a fun alternative to Netflix & Chill or Hulu & We Snooze. Ooh, and cliMAX.

I gotta say, this first batch of anthology stores are fantastic! Absolutely must-reads across the board.

Yep, albeit a wee different from some like yours. I'm 13 chapters deep into an anthropomorphic western starring a half-man, half-bull named Cow-man. He lives in the small town of Clearbrook, Wyoming (a three day ride from Gillette) and is a horse rancher. For all he and the world around him knows, he's one of a kind, so all the humans treat him differently. Some with fear, some with awe, and some with the instinct to collect his skull as a trophy. But Clearbrook has a positive mentality and treats him as one of their own. Kbois has called dibs on editing, but I could use a beta reader down the line when I wrap that project up...

Always excited to see ya reading my stuff, Gary! I wanted Pel to discover he had that 'special something.' I'm confident I could continue Pel and Vaathu's adventure, but I'm focused on my western at the moment. Really want to get that done.

I chose Peliel for a few reasons. Originally, I was just using Fantasy Name Generator and doing research for a few names. I stopped on Peliel for "Face of God," as well as other, more personal reasons. Sydemus and Vaathu, on the other hand, simple conjurations from FNG with no emotional attachment. Perhaps, but when and where? That's the question. Was it during Mace's reign in Owensville? Leidolf's? Al's?!? Me thinks the unwanted protector handed off the duties to a certain bartending demon... Loved your comment, Raven!

Just finished reading 'em all! Each one is absolutely well-crafted and noteworthy. Great work, everyone! Can we get the next batch, Val? Pretty please? -
Listen here. This story is a must read! I guarantee, the main character, Al, is gonna sweep you off your feet. Such brilliant pacing and attention to detail in this short story. Jesus, I still have goosebumps...

I was too entrenched in the story I completely missed this detail!! Consider me gobsmacked by that ending. Absolutely brilliant!

Speaking of gnomes, just started replaying one of my favorite video games (Fable 3). It features a scavenger hunt, of sorts, where 50 gnomes come to life and you have to hunt them down. Before they become evil and disperse across the whole open-world game, they sing this cute little ditty. Afterward, they end up anywhere and everywhere, insulting you and your accompanying doggo when you get close to one. Let me tell ya, they get creative... Such as: "I'd love to come to your house for tea. And then I'll have your mum."

While I've played with celestials before, this one felt different when writing. It was special. As always, I'm tickled pink you enjoyed one of my stories, Patch. Keep an eye out. I have 2 more submissions for the anthology coming at some point.

Thanks for reading, Jeffrey! Glad ya liked it!
