Personally what made it riveting for me was the sedateness of the locations .Not to mention the characters are realistic and one can actually identity with them . I like to think am a blend of Alarik and Alex personality wise....that's why could identify with them and why I was Team Alarik/Alex at the beginning .😅

When you started this story , I had no idea where it was going...It was unlike the other stories here....it's only at the end that I finally get the message you were trying to get across...It's a tale about personal growth, friendship and transformation...Alarik,Justin and Alex all go through the three and are in better place at th end..If for one feel like have learnt something and grown along with them.. Thank you...and I look forward to more of your work

You forgetting one vital detail...he is an only child.A male one..This story is set in a fictional medieval society and small village folks did not have much knowledge of the world outside their small villages..I guess what am saying is you are thinking of it using our 21st Century mentality and not the medieval one.

All threads seemed poised to join at one point...London. That last speech by Enrico reminds me of John Wick...There is a scene where Winston and John Wick are talking about consequences. Enrico talking to Ezra like that reminded me of that scene... Poor Jared...caught in bind and he has no idea .. I want to see Gregory kick ass😂😂

I feared that ...I even picture it already it...what is going to happen in the next chapter, that is..With the way you have left this one...the humiliation that awaits Lucian is nothing compared to what he has suffered before .Only this time I imagine Daniel,in his quest to keep his father's 'love' and 'attention' solely for himself will join in to debase Lucian. I mean he no longer has any affection for his brother at all. You really have no idea how sad I feel for Lucian and it's only a story. Someone so damaged and self destructive as he is deserves to have someone in his corner .Someone to show him that he is seen, that he matters. That he is not a leech as Bruno Greene has made a point of telling him and showing him. And Daniel..I do not even know .This whole chapter does not leave a good impression of him. I like to think that was your point .It harkens back to my point from before. Losing yourself for someone else is the easiest way to destroy yourself. If what I imagine happens next, then in my opinion Daniel would just be more of the same.Same cycle of abuse,cruelty and malice that Bruno Greene inflicted on Peter and Lucian. Only this time Daniel would be joining in on the fun at his own volition. That to me would be a point of no return for Daniel. He will have fully evolved into his father's son! That obviously is my imagination😂😂...You Maestro already knows what is next...but let this boy indulge himself..eh😂😂

I find myself hoping that Daniel does the right thing .That he proves he is not his father's son. But this line. He was happy to hear Bruno be so derisive towards his big brother. Makes me rather sad that he is so damaged as well that he will not do so...Will just have to wait on you to see how it goes.. Then there is this .... I'd rather drop dead than actually desire that freeloader." Bruno laughed again. He might not have desired him...but he let it happen..He knew the mental and emotional state of Lucian and yet still went on with it...That for me is the worst of what he has done.. I find myself making something so unusual ..a plea actually.😂....I know it's a story somewhat based on reality..but I want to finish reading the story having learnt something..I want to know that even in fiction, our actions and choices have consequences. That we have to be accountable for all things we do.I want to believe that losing yourself for someone else(Daniel for Bruno) is simply destroying yourself!..I definitely want to believe that leaving someone who is toxic is also a form of love for yourself and indirectly that person.. You have woven such a tale ..Sad,dark and brutal but captivating all the same. I anxiously wait for the next chapter..Please please do not give up on Lucian😉😅...He is the one you have put through the grinder the most.. Thank you!..Next week cannot get here soon enough!
