  1. Butcher, you brought up some good point that might come up again as you continue reading. This particular book was first posted in the second quarter of 2001 and much has changed since then. I'm sure many of your questions will be answered in future chapters. Thank you for the feedback.
  2. Thank you, Danilo. I'm glad you enjoy them.
  3. That's technically true, but in their minds they're brothers. Don't worry, they'll find a way to settle it to their satisfaction later.,
  4. Thank you. I appreciate the thought.
  5. Yes, Ricky is quite a character and a prankster, and I'm not sure the family he'll be staying with in Australia will be quite ready for his antics.
  6. We have to lie in the bed that we make for ourselves, and she found that out the hard way.
  7. Yes, both Cole and Graham have a lot to hate their mother for, but since Cole was older and suffered the most than he has an additional incentive. Thanks for the feedback.
  8. Thanks for the feedback, Danilo, but I think we're way past the point where I could do a spin off on that. However, I am getting feedback about the idea of Trey narrating Next Generation - Book 4.
  9. Thank you for the feedback, Paul, and I'm glad you're enjoying this story.

    Problem Solving

Thanks for the feedback flesco and I'm glad you're enjoying this. Yes, there is a lot going on and some things need to be delayed, but life goes on. The Currie family deals with situations and problems just like the rest of us, even though there are more people involved.
  11. Yes, Pat is adjusting nicely and the sermon may have given him a push. As kids can do, Joshie and Nicky are trying to be helpful, but that doesn't always work out the way they intend. Hopefully Pat's new focus will help both him and others as they deal with the obstancles life has put in their path. Thanks for the feedback.
  12. Don't feel badly, because I had the same problem when I was writing those chapters.

    Problem Solving

Thanks for your feedback, Jim, and let me try to answer your questions. First of all, writing the various chapters varies and depends on if I have to do any research first, such as when they go on trips, see specific movies, or do something different - such as riding the go karts or four-wheelers. Some chapters I can write in a few hours, while others can take a couple of days, and then I proof read each chapter two to three times, but I never do that on the day I write the chapter or proof read it more than once per day. I want fresh eyes each time I do it, so from start to finish a chapter can take from a few days to an entire week. During that time, I'm usually working on more than one chapter. Multiply that by the number of chapters in each book and you get an idea of the total process. Yes, if I write the next book from Trey's POV, then I can include school experiences, since both he and Dion are teachers, but let's get through this book first.

    Problem Solving

Thank you, Tony, and you're correct - nothing is easy. In the past people have said things go too smoothly and this isn't realistic, and I can't imagine anything more realistic than solving each of these issues at home. Thanks for the feedback.
  15. When we got home from work on Friday night, as soon as we walked through the front door we noticed the younger boys were obviously excited about something. “Both of the pads in the carrier were dry this morning,” Hunter announced triumphantly. “Wow! That means both of the puppies made it through the night without having an accident. That’s a good start, so now we just have to see if it continues.” While we were chatting with the boys, I suddenly remembered about something else. When we
  16. Yes, I dumped on Kevin, but I'm just showing that sometimes terrible things happen to nice people. Yes, Pat could still dance, but he's still getting used to being blind and isn't ready to take chances. Not everyone reacts the same way to these events and tragedies.
  17. Yes, although I may have forgotten to include it in the chapter. There was a great deal going on.
  18. Yes, Kevin suffered his first heartbreak, but he'll get over it.
  19. Thank you, but I thought the term coq was only used to describe the feathers when used to trim a lady's hat.

    Small Gains

Thanks, flesco, and there's definitely a lot going on. Elliot seems to have come to grips with the situation with Ian, and the puppies and the younger boys appear to be getting along and developing amid expectations, and we'll have to wait and see what happens with Noah and Ryan. Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks, Tony, and I'm not going to answer your question. You'll just have to wait and see. lol

Jim, you can never ask too many questions, and let me attempt to answer this one. Since Danny and Brandon's family is growing, I opted to focus on them and not so much on Joshie and Wyatt, unless of course they're interacting with the other boys. Joshie and Wyatt still spend time with their mothers, although primarily around certain holidays and their birthdays, and that's why there are occasions when they're not mentioned at family gatherings. I know it's confusing and may seem harsh, but with so many characters I have to make choices, otherwise each book would be two to three times as long. I hope that answers your question.

    Thanks, Jim.
  24. When we arrived home after work on Monday, I stayed in the car and asked Brandon to send Owen out so I could take him to exchange his bus ticket. As soon as Owen joined me, I asked if he had his ticket with him and he showed me he did, so we took off to see how this was going to work out. When we got to the bus station we had to stand in a short line to be waited on, and when we got to the window Owen handed the man his ticket and explained what he wanted to do. “I called the bus company an

Thanks for the feedback, flesco, and you are correct on each of those issues. The short outings not only give the family a chance to bond and enjoy each other's company, but they're less expensive and fit into Danny and Brandon's schedules more easily. Yes, there are still tensions under the surface with Ryan and Noah, but so far haven't ignited into a firestorm. Let's hope it stays that way.
