Yes, Elliot has settled in, but there are still unresolved issues. As I suggested to Flash, some will soon come to light.

Thanks, Flash. Not only time to go back to school, but it is also time to address another issue that's been on the back burner.

The family used a number of different vehicles to get to the restaurant, but this gathering wasn’t as large as some of the others have been. Dustin and Cole weren’t planning to be with us this year, since they were going out with their girlfriends. Even though those two couples wouldn’t be joining us, they weren’t going out with each other either. They were planning on meeting up with other couples on this festive evening, so they could spend the night with their friends. They weren’t the o

Mike, I'm glad you enjoyed it and I hope you find many more 'favorite' chapters to come. -
Saying Farewell To a Difficult Year
Bill W commented on Bill W's story chapter in Saying Farewell To a Difficult Year
Flash, I'm glad you're still enjoying the story and I promise much more is yet to come. Thanks for the offer to help, but I think I've pretty much got things under control. Since my job got shipped overseas it's left me with lots of time to do other things and writing helps keep my brain from getting too mushy. -
Saying Farewell To a Difficult Year
Bill W posted new chapter in The Castaway Hotel: Next Generation
Monday night, I got a phone call from Ricky. I was kind of surprised by this, since he’d just been here for a couple of days. I was hoping nothing was wrong. “Dad, I’m sorry for being such a jerk before I left,” Ricky admitted. “The truth is, it wasn’t the pranks that upset me. I’d sort of been in a bad mood for most of the time I was there. To be honest, whoever pulled those pranks was pretty clever. I know I never thought up shit as good as that.” He laughed. “Yes, they were well pl- 6 comments

Flash, don't give up on Ricky yet. You will soon see why he reacted this way. As far as the grandparents, they passed away during the gap between the two books. I guess I might have forgotten to mention that, since they were only minor characters, but it will eventually come up in the story.

Once we’d opened the presents, Danny and Brandon volunteered to help me fix breakfast for everyone, since Jake wasn’t here to give me a hand. Not only did they make everyone’s eggs to order, but they also fixed enough bacon and sausage to meet the demand, along with a lot of toast. Of course, there was plenty of juice, milk and coffee to go around too. It seemed really strange being in bed without Jake last night, but I knew he was probably enjoying his time with Shannon and Nick. Although

Flash, as far as what's going on with Ricky, it will eventually be disclosed, but the fun's not over yet.

Mike, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Everyone like some good-natured fun. lol

This was going to be a holiday of mixed emotions for me. Jake left for Oklahoma on Thursday night, since he was going to spend Christmas with Nick and Shannon at the Lawrences. I couldn’t go with him, since my family was all coming here, but I didn’t want to deprive him of spending time with his son either. It’s going to be strange that he isn’t going to be around to enjoy the holiday with me, but I know we’ll each survive. Thursday night, many of the boys joined me to watch ‘A Christmas Ca

Mike, hope you feel better soon and I'm glad if this chapter was able to help.

Sorry the info Mark shared disappointed you, but it was more than they expected his father had left him. However, there's still a long way to go.

“Hi, Brandon. Thank you for calling me back so quickly,” Mark greeted him. “No problem. We missed you last weekend,” Brandon told him. “I know I was telling Dad that I hated not being with everyone, but unfortunately it couldn’t be helped this time,” Mark explained. “More importantly though, I wanted to talk to you regarding the account I set up for your son.” “Right, that’s what Dad said. What’s going on?” Brandon wanted to know. “Well, after I talked to Danny, when we first set this

Thanks, Flash, and yes, it isn't always earth-shaking or fast-paced action going on. Maybe you'll find the next chapter to be a bit of a surprise then.

Many of the boys were taking advantage of the fact that it was Saturday and slept in. We didn’t see over half of them until noon or later. When they did return to the world of the living and finally came down to join us, they spent the rest of the afternoon watching more college football games, listening to music or harassing the rest of us. Mike and Julie Lawrence left for the airport around four and Shannon and Nick rode with them. They all had flights home that evening, since they wanted

Something To Be Thankful For
Bill W commented on Bill W's story chapter in Something To Be Thankful For
Flash, you're welcome, but hopefully you'll find other chapters you like as well or better too. -
Trevor, glad you found that amusing and hope you're enjoying some of the old characters dropping in again.

Story idea for Bill W and multiple authors from CSU
Bill W replied to zland666's topic in The Lounge
Guys, I have to admit I'm unfamiliar with CSU. A few years ago I had some health issues and it greatly affected my eyesight. For that reason, I have done little reading since then. In order to write, I do it in bold text in a larger font and then have to reformat it to post here. I'm not sure if the other series author(s) would want to deal with this problem, but thanks for thinking my series was interesting enough to include in such an endeavor. -
I can empathize completely with you and can only state what the others have said, be safe first and foremost. Have a safe place you can go to if anything ever comes to a head (such as a friends house), but do not tell anyone until you are absolutely ready for their reaction - either way. I have three cousins and a nephew who are also gay, but none of us ever came out to the family. The family members suspect, and we've each overheard them make verious comments to each other about one of the others, but never to us. As long as they only suspect, nothing happens. However, if one of us were to actually come out, all bets are off. Therefore, we've all become really good at hiding it. Let's just say that it wasn't their fear of disapproval that kept us in the closet. Before my grandfather died, I believe that we all believed he would rather have seen us dead than embarrass the family by being 'queer.'

Jake and I had prepared some of the food the night before, after the boys went upstairs, and then we got up at 4:00 and put the turkeys in the ovens – one in the oven in the stove and the other in the built-in wall oven. We had two huge birds and hoped it would be enough to feed the mob we were expecting. Shortly after noon, the first of our extended family began to arrive. We wouldn’t be eating until 2:00, but some of them came early, to see if they could help out. Jake and I were happy to

Mike, thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed seeing the entire gang return, but wait until you see what I have planned for the next chapter, as some of them revert back to their old ways.

Flash, give me a chance here. I can't do everything at once or all in one chapter. hehehe We're only about a third of the way through, so there will be many more opportunities for these things to unfold. However, I am glad you're still enjoying this and eager to offer your ideas.
