I'll say it again @Gary L, our author knows how to add fuel to an already 15 metre high inferno...
-
I am forever hopeful that someone will go to Ancestry.com and start to complete a family tree on this HUGE fictional family to allow us squips a visual framework. Hopefully our esteemed author @Mark Arbour has his own whiteboard.. imagine the fun then! Adding pictures to the various names, including parts of their known story in forensic detail...

The two bickering, chattering Olympics excited girls have gone home to their father, hubby has made me a big cup of tea, Sydney's weather is cold and windy and I am snuggled up with this unexpected delight! The comments are as delightful as this story. @drpaladin,we use the same insult but we say to Indians "are they returning to Islamabad soon?" When a person forgets that Indian/Asian ways of doing things don't translate into western culture well. (Shouting for attention, queue jumping and the like)

Makes the other story "Peace of Amiens" seems tame at the moment, poor Jeremy, wait until he realises that Crampton won't open doors as well as the cache as Schluter.. perhaps even losing all the fashion stuff., not that I believe Stef would do that, but our author does love throwing flames at an existing inferno

I know that in both my home country and adopted country incest automatically carries a "coercive rape" charge against the oldest of the participants if the age gap is more than 24 months. Perhaps the laws in each state of the USA are varied, some wildly divergent ( thinking abortion here).

I need to go back, but I seem to remember that Bitty was not a willing participant at first, that she had mixture of both shame and a need for love. Perhaps I am wrong here...

With your thoughts on this. I have your same thoughts about this abused character, probably the most complex of any @Mark Arbour has written about.

JJ is indeed behaving childish because he still is a child! Barely 18, still highly immature and has been allowed to find his own way with minimal supervision. Honestly, I think that a lot of comments are piling on without the real understanding of sexual assault, personality disorder and parental loss, now discovered that his life has been a lie, son of rape and incest. His emotional reactions are exactly as expected to discover his foundations of who he is are a total lie. I'm surprised he hasn't run from the house and back to N.Y.to seek out his own good doctor.

I'm glad we have reached the intersection so fast! I want to see the whole story from Rivers point of view, how exciting 😍 😀 😄 😁 😊 🙌, Make Haste ! @Demiurge, if only to revel in the internal spirals and outward commentary. Like elegant swans, serene on top, paddling furiously below.

Totally blindsided by this revelation, poor Kris. Wow, such research!! Awesome work @Mark Arbour Top quality 👏 👌 👍.

Presentation to Their Majesties
Darryl62 commented on Mark Arbour's story chapter in Presentation to Their Majesties
Clouds called Parliament, and with Lord Brentwood holding ( I think) three seats under his control in the Commons, as well as a seat in the Lords, his time will be taken up. Also the Foreign Office think well of him thanks to not only India and Brazil, but also the whole Northern European/ Russian foxtrot/quickstep.- 17 comments

I have signed 3 NDAs in my business career, none of which were sexual!!! The things I could have done.. mind you, in the early 80s I did a porno at a bathhouse, Honolulu, I can be balls deep in a guy while he is on his back and blow him at the same time.. and I am standing up obviously! Then the time a muscle god ran his hand up and down my wiry hairless arm and asked me to make his eyes roll in his head. The things we share...hahaha

I have finished another story on GA called "I hate this town" and the characters remind me of JJ, its a sticky tale about mental illness. Gave insights into anxiety and coping that makes me even more nervous for JJ. I'll be his friend, sharp edges and lacerations taken for granted.

I grew up on an orchard, picking your own from the tree is the best, unless its Granny Smith (Australian invention). Sharp and tart. I can empathise with our hero, was me at high school, dont look, touch or come close to me.

Wren is a standalone, followed by Wyn, sassy

Loved every word ❤ ♥ 💕 💙 💖 💓 thank you so much.

Wren! "So ate it" what did you do to write such a despicable yet hilariously funny character. Totally has become my favourite. What a ride.. and the awful sister betrothed to nasty Lex., more shardenfraud than ever,
-
Interesting! My take was that the parents are just unknown people to him against his "real parents". He does want to give up himself, his identity and then be swamped by millions of years of other memories, and when Jacob said "I dont feel any different " and the Great Mother replied " wasn't that the whole point?". Sums it up really well for me.

Not in the minority at all. In fact we all need to be reminded that JJ is a survivor of sexual predation, mother ( his main support system) lost in 9/11 and is but only 18 years old. Thankfully he is being supported by his fabulous psychologist but I think his family have not been kind and while they all have various issues, JP is the one that I am disappointed with as he has almost no regard for JJ yet Will clearly is the golden child.

Well, aren't you just a sneaky bugger! Throwing Max and Stacy into the mix, having read their story with old grumble bum recently. Lovely and evocative prose.

Is it possible that Kris knows about the Nazi past and rightly kept quite about it? but his lineage that he wants investigated is another ancestor? In my own family history, my mother in laws father was a Major in the Wehrmacht. (story has it, antihitler, killed Russian front, not allowed to return after being wounded and died of septicaemia.) Thinking about the signet ring, coronet and mantle. Had to come from somewhere? The anticipation is both excruciating and exciting and I want all and every detail of the weekend relayed immediately!!!! Hahaha 😆

At this point of the story, no... but as we all know, it can change in a moment!

Prince von Schullenberg
Darryl62 commented on Mark Arbour's story chapter in Prince von Schullenberg
I had that opportunity, my first long term partner was titled as "Graf Victor von Faber-Castell " and was at the time, Aide-De-Camp to the Goveror General of New Zealand, just like Jeremy in his entitlements and snobbery. He and I parted ways after 14 years together. He was 18 years my senior and he had totally bewitched my family with expensive jewellery and fabulous things. He was a total prick in the end. Ahh, the past really is another country. -
That is the best comment of the year, hopefully it will make an appearance in this story.. Hopefully @Mark Arbour
