Another movie I think worth a watch is Circle. Technically not a horror movie, but instead a psychological thriller, I still think it fits well with the season. Below is a link to the trailer:

It's not super scary, but Devil (sometimes called Devil 2010 since there are other movies with the same name) is a decent watch.

For a story that can really grab your heart and soul I highly recommend It Started With Brian - conveniently located right here at Gay Authors: I will freely admit I'm a bit biased though. I personally knew Sam and the most of the rest of the cast in this autobiography. I even helped Sam come up with the story description. We were pretty darn close and I can honestly say I still miss him and think of him pretty much every day.

You know, when I wrote the story it never really even occurred to me to have Liz as the culprit for jinxing Adam's car. I was looking at more of a Christmas Miracle of sorts (or whatever) that just so happened to make Adam's car breakdown right when it did so he could be rescued. I suppose it is a good thing I didn't think of it and include it - people want to hunt down Liz as it is - and that just isn't Christmas-y! LOL As always, thanks for the comments. I do appreciate them!

I'm sorry you didn't like Liz - but remember she is an over-exaggeration used as a literary construct to move the story where I wanted it to go. But thanks for taking the time to read my story and for leaving comments - they do mean a lot to me!

If you like his writing style you might also enjoy his Lightbringer series which starts with The Black Prism. The series isn't complete yet, so it can be a bit maddening waiting for the last couple of books. But the story line is interesting, the characters well developed, and he has an interesting new twist to how 'magic' works that I found intriguing.

I'll second the vote on The Way of Shadows and the entire series. I've read the series several times - it's a bit dark, but well worth the read.
