  1. Dirks head is dangerous territory to venture into!
  2. ............... Actually he did cease transmissions, he did however pick up the satellite phone and re-dialed.
  3. ................ And a great chapter it was too! The big surprise was that Joel figured out possible connection of another suspect in being that of Bridget, I had thought Lisa would have done so. But as she admitted she was smitten by Bridget's generosity. I'm not sure where Joel connected the trade shows to Dirks' and Jim's meetings though. I guess they did more detective work then I expected. Henry's unfortunate encounter to bug a boat sets up the possible conclusion that the guards running from Bridget's docking site, and the methods of intruder detection are devious to the naked eye. The hiding in plain site is plausible for criminal activity. Will Henry hire a professional scuba team to bug the boat? Gonzales dismisses the idea to instead go after Bridget's car. But will she be alerted that someone tries to break into the shipyard? If so I fear for Henry's life as I stated earlier, once George gets whiff of him he is out of there. Now Gonzalez's points about Joel are valid from his point of view, he needs to hear the other side, something I fear will not happen if Henry is killed first. If he offers to tell Joel that Bridget is indeed a suspect in Arnolds death, then all bets are off as to where this goes. I knew that that damned garlic press would come back to play, so the story will be out sooner then the bug bitten reporter wanted it to be. Again Great chapter CJ
  4. ........... Gasp!
  5. Hey Marty!! To Sanchez, Bridget says; "Then one day, after months of barely speaking to each other, I was on our boat, the Ares. I was somewhat suspicious already, and I looked into one of our concealed compartments. I found the sales papers, and he’d never mentioned them to me, for a boat I owned jointly with him. He was selling her.” 'One of their concealed compartments..' Plural, meaning there were more then one. It is a wonder one of the Pirates did not find one of them, if the Atlantis is indeed the Aries. Could Rachel also have stumbled into a large cache of money left by Arnold? Plus information involving them with the cartel? Something spooked her into leaving, my guess it was her knowledge that Bridget was involved with the cartel, and that she had helped her transfer money for them. Leaving her at risk of the Feds, but more importantly it left her and her family in danger. Leaving Trevor behind had to be a hard decision for her. I wonder if Dirk has the 'incriminating evidence' that Gonzales is looking for. She would occasionally move some cash for me. I hinted it was simple tax evasion, nothing more. She never knew what I was doing, so she was no danger to me, or us." Here is what I think Rachel is guilty of, money laundering for Bridget, nothing more. But that was the least of her worries, not sure of the statutes of limitation for money laundering are. So the two 'crimes' are faking a death and being an accomplice to money laundering. Dirk being involved in the former, not the latter. Later, Bridget or rather the narrator tells us everything Bridget said was the truth, but that she omitted the whole truth..... Over time, Bridget had come to suspect that her late husband had hidden something else, along with the assets list, aboard the Aries.... And of course feeding the Feds information on Rachel to try and get the Aries back was also a slight omission. Back to Rachel, in the prologue, she shed a tear in remembrance at her son's request of of a sea shell for his birthday. Rachel is indeed strong and won more arguments with Dirk, then Dirk cares to admit. I'm very sure she won the argument with Dirk to disappear for all of their sakes, and keep hidden the 'crimes' for the length of the statutes. About the Blakes, could Mr. Blake actually be acting as a husband when in fact they are brother and sister. Just something that occurred to me since the legality of Rachel getting re-married might stir up a records search, or an announcement made public could bring on too much scrutiny. Oh well, just some thoughts!
  6. That is the only hold back in your theory that Rachel switched boats If Ned finds them them, then what made Rachel flee? Could Arnold have spooked her? I doubt that happened, it must have been something that she saw and clicked in her brain of what was going on. Rachel would not have abandoned her son for nothing less then a life threatening event about to unfold. And very much aware of the statutes of limitations involved.
  7. ........... I agree, he will focus on Trevor's voyage and not on getting conned by Shane.
  8. Hey Marty! b
  9. That is it for me!!!!
  10. ................Sorry, I guess I forgot about this thread since it did not show up in the forum!
  11. ............ i was somewhat surprised by your non-assessment of this chapter in the clues left by the goat.
  12. ............. Imagine my surprise to see a new chapter!! been awhile and I had to re-read the last chapter to get caught up. So what are Clinton's intentions here? Obviously Greg is out of his life as he stated at his door. This is a new wrinkle you have thrown us Krista, totally out of the blue. Riley has an asshole of a father, and a quick stupid romance with an older student that was just lust, as Greg will not he is gay and will marry as Riley predicts. So Clinton is somewhat out of the blue here, a follower of asshole CJ (by the way, I wondered how you came up with that name ) So the question is, will that boat get rocking??? Nice chapter Krista! 13. BTW, I noticed you did not comment on most of my comments!!
  14. ................. Trevor has remembrance to his mothers making those pies, could be the goat is bringing a clue back in here. Just saying! Could the Fowlers and Blakes be freinds? Could have Blake's given the recipe to the Fowlers? Too many unanswered questions here! Does seem odd that twice the pies came in to question and being a remembrance to Trevor here. Makes you wonder if this is a reaching out moment without the revelation moment!
  15. .......... The question is would Trevor have noticed the differences, Shane has already told Trevor that he is incredible as a captain and noting such things. But the 57? 'The Lagoon 57 was a very similar and slightly newer design than the Lagoon 55. Later models of the 57 were designated the 570 and had vertical instead of steeply sloped-back windows at the forward end of the salon, but the 57s were nearly identical to the Lagoon 55 in every regard, except for the slight difference in length and bow shape, which was almost impossible to notice unless the two models were moored side by side.'- from Chapter 39 So what if Rachel made up that slight difference? Nope, I am leaning towards a remake of the 55 into the 57, based on the fact that Rachel wanted anonymity and the reason to order a new plaque where one did not need to be made for sake of a name change of the boat.
  16. ............... Great chapter CJ, finally Shane gives in!! Plenty of clues in this one; "When it’s got the builder’s name and insignia on it like this, it means the owner ordered it new from the builder, and the builder made the plaque,” said Trevor I'm beginning to get the feeling that Trevor has found the Aires already but doesn't realize it yet. Ned did work on the Kookaburra it would be easy to see that Rachel wanted to disguise the Aries and has Ned turn it into a 57. "The Blakes have had her since she was new, said Shane. Hummm, so why order a new plaque? Ultimate designs, my first thought was of what Trevor had in store for Shane. But now, I think it refers to the Kookaburra. Again a great chapter, finally the pretense of these two is over!!
  17. ....... Great ending Nephy, bringing closure to Haze was a great way to end it with Ace by his side. I'm glad Ace forced Haze into facing his demons to help cure him of them. It totally worked, no need to rehash Logan, it was more important to see the demise of the rage.
  18. ........... I love it!!1 Nah, your stories are good enough that they need no cliffhanger (which you do leave in several chapters ) I think your fan base is safe on that. My theory is that all authors need to throw out a cliffhanger once in awhile to generate discussion on the previous chapter, and this is a good thing, otherwise you'd just get a pat on the back lame comment of 'great chapter'. What I love about your stories is the hints and clues that lead the reader to see above the obvious cliffhanger, trying to solve the case ahead of time scenario type of thing. Looking forward for tonight's chapter, and tomorrows re-reading to analysis.
  19. ......... Wouldn't you been like 9 years old if your age listed is correct???
  20. ............... I'm @ 65% deaf and have slept through an earthquake that moved the bed I was in into the middle of the room slept right through it. but if someone just enters my room while I'm asleep I instantly awake up, must be that training I had in the service I cannot explain it. Insomnia, yep I still get that about once a month, as a matter of fact the last 2 days!!! Sounds like you are wound up before you try to sleep, have you ever tried stretching yourself before trying to sleep? Starting with your toes and working yourself up until you have stretched all of your body then relaxed? My college Psych/yoga professor suggested it to us to enhance dreams once and it worked for me many times.
