I agree with you on most of this, your analogy on the story is right, but one thing that bothered me was the lack Dirk knowing anything about Bridget, other then the sale of the boat there is nothing on radar to suggest he suspects Bridget. Did Rachel not fill him in because what he doesn't know won't hurt him, or Trevor? The one thing I'm sure of, is that Rachel nor the Ares will not be found at the bottom of the sea in the Bimini. Dirk already in exasperation nearly told Trevor that when he found out he was doing 'solo' explorations for the boat. Another scene can unfold here That said, the cartel has a problem, loose ends that come to them need to be severed. Will George and Bridget make a run for it? Will Julie appear as a friend or foe in the upcoming chapters? The traps are many, the scenarios are circumstantial!

.............I agree!! I'm sure Trevor's mother got it all to start a new life in Australia, just as I'm sure that she discovered Bridget's late husband hiding spot on the Ares. She must of found something that scared the hell out of her enough to fear for her families life to fake the boat accident. Will Bes and Mufid attempt to kill Trevor again? Or will the place be so full of police that they make contact with the Pirates to finish the job? It won't take to long for the Egyptian police to figure out that Trevor was the intended target. I wonder if when they find the other propane tank, Ghassan left any fingerprints (hmm, can finger prints withstand the salt water). Will Bes and Mufid find out by a mole in the police department that gives up Ghassan's name to them? I don't see how they can to link Dirk to another attempt this late in the voyage! It will be an interesting conversation that Detective Gonzales has with his Egyptian counterpart, and with the feds involved, he may finally get more information for his on-going murder case. I'm afraid all Bridget accomplished was to make her look more suspicious. The cartel is not going to be very happy! Great chapter CJ

........ While I don't agree with the rhetoric displayed at either of the posters, I disagree that the counter protest was not productive, the media may or may not have shown up. The WBC's aim at producing lawsuits is fading, people are on to them and as such hundreds held signs and sang out against them. It shows the community doesn't agree with their hate, and it shows the country that they won't allow hate preached. Phelps, must getting desperate, it cost them money to travel around to protest and with nobody to sue anymore.

..........How true, isn't fortunate that someone will relieve Trevor of that duty! Wouldn't it be funny if the tank wound up back on the boat carrying Mufid or even Bes? ...........Actually, I got caught 20 years later, I was a taking a class in surveying, when we finished the course everyone decided to celebrate by going out for pizza. Unbeknownst to me Ned (the Dad) was in the class, and picked that time at the pizza celebration to nail me on the my escapde. I guess he recognized my name and my face, which was blushed enough to confirm my crime to him!!!

...........When I was 13, I colored a raw egg and slipped over to my neighbors yard next door, Easter morning his kids went out to collect their bounty. From previous years I had noticed that their dad would crack the eggs over his kid's head. So waited to watch! But he just looked at it and turned to his wife to ask her if she colored an extra egg! How was supposed to know that he counted them!

Not that she was against him, but her questions seemed to be very naive on her part in the interview. Her credibility dropped for me, but I'm guessing you used her in a sort of humorous fashion in this part as a demonstration of credibility of others in her field.
