Wow 4 million dollars sounds like a real bargain, compared to what that property would cost in today's economy! Your own love and knowledge of Hawaii is apparent in this chapter. This house makes their stateside home, while still very lovely, but also seems too small for them all. 🤔 This "HOME" would make the perfect new future home base for them, with plenty of room for visiting guests. So much appears to be happening, in your story right now. 😁

The boys with the fish returned to Ohio after a safe trip, and to a very warm welcome from the dads. Angie will fly in later, when her school lets out for the summer. I had thought that they had already secured their summer jobs, but Marty is still looking. Will they each be involved in some form of modeling job, but in very different types of modeling? 😁 This could be a very interesting summer for everyone involved at the Kovar home. I also expect there will be quite a few surprises and drama along the way!

I would smile too, if we could get some rain! Our lack of rain continues. Since August 1 we only had less than three tenth of an inch of rain, spread over 46 days! It has been extremely dry, and not really any foretasted for our next week.or longer. ☹️

I had the same question or thought, upon reading the last three chapters. Elias, the doctor. was the most important person in their lives and romantic actions previously, and has not been seen, or even mentioned, for the last 2 chapters? The time jump and the addition of Eric in John and Ethan's lives, seems to have changed that situation? 🤔 I am also very saddened to hear about all of your current difficulties. 😥

Happy to learn that all three will be spending their summer at Peters' house with his Dads, and very close to his other family members. Summer employment has already been secured in advance for all three. I am curious about any developments or communications coming from Marty's mother, concerning their avoidance of her home. Pete and Marty have shared an apartment for many months, and their bond continued to grow much stronger. What's new with Angela and Todd? It should be an interesting summer break for them, being back in Ohio❣️ We shall soon find out, just how interesting it could become. .

Sarcasm can be seen as an art-form (at least by me), and you have learned to master it extremely well❣️ Your writings and humor are a pure delight to read, and yes, I also love watching your excellent productions. Excellent chapter, that was filled with emotions, concerns, and support. The four maturing young people are trying to deal with the many issues they face now, and moving forward. Daniel realizes that counseling could help to put him in a better way to understand the issues that he has due to his past traumas, and also in his current situations. We will learn what news Inspector Lawson deemed as important! My fingers are crossed in concern as to what information he could reveal, as to any of the ongoing case possible new developments. 🤔

I loved the story about Bik and his ploys with the girls in his class! A great "meet the Kovar family' experience was shared with the new additions of Marty and his sister Angela. Family bonds, traditions, and caring relationships were all on full display, in this chapter. Well done.

Wow ,time passed quickly in this chapter! Their studio was stocked with what the two deemed as essentials to them. Erik will be an interesting addition to the mix, and no doubt we will get art insights, right along with him! With the barn up and running, they are in need of some trusted help back at the house. Things will become very busy with their future art studio/gallery projects❣️

These poor people unknowingly had no idea of the havoc that Marie-Louise would bring into their home, and other's lives. They at least ensured that her child would be adopted into a home away from any of her further influence upon his life. They may always question the outcomes that followed that decision. 🤔 Was there a better possible decision available to them? They and we, will never know. I am happy upon learning the various outcomes of the many other characters. ML's ending was a result of her own actions and decisions. Was anyone able to change her fate, besides herself? 😢 -

Jaren and Ailin are such sensitive and lovable characters, and they are trying to adjust to their new surroundings, while still struggling with past fears, and unpleasant memories. They are becoming more comfortable in the city and their shared love, and a desire to share a closeness needs to be released, despite past fears. The Twins Stars Festival gave them a peak into how mutual caring could be shown in their day to day lives. They also deserve to feel and share a loving touch and casual but important expressions with each other. This chapter just felt so right to me. 💖 -
Happy to see Linda and Joe popped by for a surprise visit, and were able to give the guest room a trail run, It sounds beautiful and will come in handy in cases such as this. I'm sure they will say it was just "perfect" for them! Their focus is now turning towards the barn reconstruction. John's dreams are now becoming his and Ethan's new reality. 👨❤️👨

This may be an understatement. Looking forward to learning what @Lee Wilson believes "A Graceful Exit" could possibly be, from this hodgepodge of loose ends! 🤔 Or is the "graceful exit" title just being used to describe his own departure from this tale? This will surely will be a very interesting Epilogue to read! -
This chapter was well written and I really loved the interactions among your various characters. Everyone is very sincere and caring, Angela's emotional talk with Peter about Marty's past sexual abuse/attack, and their family dynamics and reactions to the rape and beating, was shocking to Peter. This was well expressed, and the effect it had on Marty's well being was life changing. Angela felt Peter needed to understand, just how vulnerable Marty could be in their ongoing relationship. This was a highly emotional chapter, and I want to for sharing your stories with us.

This story has complex characters and it may take awhile before any real understanding of what are the true motivations behind their actions can totally be understood. This fact reminds me again of the warning given in the first paragraph of chapter 1. I do have some opinions, but will let the actions of these young men play out just a little more. I'm sure that impulse will be very difficult to keep under control! And what fun is that, in a story that evokes reactions. Maybe I will be patient, and also vocal?

The judge had an obligation to protect the public at large, and has turned that responsibility over to the state's mental health professionals to decide how best to deal with Ed's mental problems. His order was very well worded. If they thought that Ed remained a threat to others, they could keep him in treatment for months/years/life, until he could be safely released back into the community. They will make their own assessments of Ed's mental conditions, and what his treatment in this case should require. Marie Louise continued with what she is known by the readers for, using one and all, to satisfy her own self crazed interests. That reality has finally became obvious to Nelson! -
Kilroy is letting Todd penetrate his long held defensive walls against close personal involvement in his life, and a strong relationship between the two continues to grow. Bane's call adds more cryptic bits and pieces to the group's growing murder mystery, and Kilroy remembers a possible previous card appearance. This chapter holds many breadcrumbs, and interesting developments as to Kilroy's possible future. Readers are left to their own theories as to where this all may lead? I sense that Todd will become an important factor to helping the doctor to put the pieces together in this complex, and intriguing story. I guess we will need to wait, until more is revealed.

Wow, the cold front is blowing in to my area but no rain again today. After a cold and very wet spring we had a very hot August that was our driest month ever recorded with less than 0.2 inches of precipitation! We are in a drought, although others not that far away have have suffered from flooding. My gardens and my mood have suffered also, but not having to mow my non-garden areas was a bonus. We desperately are in need of more rain. It has been quite a tough year for us weather-wise, but so many others have suffered greatly from their own sudden and unusual weather pattern changes. Wishing all of you, a very pleasant fall season❣️

Such a quick and easy move in less then a day, then finding everything in the home worked with perfection, reminds me that this is fiction, I could only dream that things could/would turn out so perfect in my life. Lucky them❣️ Where does one find such competent miracle workers, as these?

The reaction of the students to Ed returning to school, was probably not shared by their parents, who would be very concerned about their children's continued safety at the school. I have no idea what decision the judge may render, after hearing the two lawyers closing arguments? Ed's fate will be dependent upon that decision. We shall then hear, and learn what will happen to a troubled Ed. Let's hope it is a wise decision that can be accepted by most of the people. 🤔 -
Happy John's recovery is progressing so well, that he is now able to enjoy the process of moving into their newly remodeled and decorated dream home! The guys still have many plans and work ahead, in order to create their new gallery/studio project. Living near the site, should be a big plus in that endeavor! So far, things seem to be starting to fall into place, for them to accomplish their lofty goals!

Marty has quickly become accepted as a major player in keeping Peter from not following the doctor's orders and instructions for his future care. Cousin Todd seemed to start acting very awkward after first meeting Angela. Is a possible instant attraction to her, was causing him to lose his focus? The Cleveland area is known for it's excellent hospital system, with them being very close to Cleveland Clinic which serves patients worldwide. Peter's personal doctor, Dr. Chiang gave Marty the fast course in how to care for Peter, and what to look out for in that care. Another excellent chapter from @Connectwriter, but also a very unfortunate one for Peter and Marty, and their families. Sadly this will probably be a constant worry for all concerned, about Peter's future. 🙁

The back story of Claude's abuse and torment of Ed was horrific and constantly increasing over many years. 😢 It is such a sad place that Ed now finds himself unknowingly involved in Claude's murder. Returning to school can only increase his stress, and the other students and their parent's stress, to the point that learning anything useful in the current school environment seems completely unfathomable! What result of the future relationship between George and Cal may become, is also a bit of a mystery?
