An excellent well written emotional short story that will leave the reader thinking about its implications, long after reading. It was well worth the time, it took to read this very thought provoking story by a talented @Paladin. I can highly recommend this one, for your consideration!

I totally agree with this comment, and the other comments above! This was a very emotional look into a family's long held secrets, and how a letter from the past, can convey new perceptions of the actions taken in today's world. It was so well done❣️ for your sharing this experience with us!

Ed is Arraigned, and A Non-Killer Friend
Flip-Flop commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Ed is Arraigned, and A Non-Killer Friend
Wow, we have a lot of things brewing in this chapter! I think the judge made a proper decision, but Ed's return to school will be sure to add more stress to his problems. Marie has her own self-serving agenda that she plans to pursue, regardless how it will affect others. George believes Ed's mind likely snapped after years of abuse and torment by Claude, and is now interested in making friends with a gay Cal. I'm unsure what will develop within this decision? A very interesting chapter where @Lee Wilson is stirring many different story twists and turns. -
Happy to see John is progressing in his recovery process! It certainly helps to have the constant aid and encouragement of Elias and Ethan, at his side. The removal of the arm cast was another big step, but he has a lot of therapy still ahead of him. ❤️🩹 As Ethan lovingly stated:

A great start to the story, giving us a better insight and feelings about the main characters. They say first impressions are important, and lasting ones. We shall see if that holds true in this case. Each young man brings their own personal issues along with them, into this new environment, but this story is only at its beginning stage.

We are now learning more about Peter's health, and his past bouts with pneumonia. Marty wasted no time alerting Pete's dads as to his current condition, and his need for medical care. The three had arrived at the house earlier after their long trip and were warmly greeted, and the dads took extra care to make Marty and Angela feel welcome and comforted about their visit. This made Marty fondly remember what his own home felt like, before their father died. I am looking forward to the pair meeting the rest of Peter's family, and hearing more about their feelings about what changes took place in their own family. I can only hope Peter can quickly recover, and return back to his home. 😥 This was an excellent chapter in this evolving and very compelling story❣️

Ramifications: Alina Gets Her Video
Flip-Flop commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Ramifications: Alina Gets Her Video
This roller coaster ride ended in a horrible crash, with Alina and Scott seated in the front car. Thankfully, Jerry had missed joining them on the ride, due to the extremely long lines at the nearby concession stand. No Oscar nominations were received for their performances, due to the unexpected, and very limited release of the film!- 26 comments

A Lawyer, Insanity?, and The Date
Flip-Flop commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in A Lawyer, Insanity?, and The Date
I do feel sad for Ed. I see that nothing good can be expected to occur about his future. I also fell sorry for Nelson. He has no idea how Marie plans to use him, in her usual self centered game plans. That leaves us with George, who, is worried about how Ed's actions will blowback onto him, and what people may think of him. What a tangled web of problems they all may face! I only hope that George meeting Cal, could become a positive thing. -

The New Relationship Gets Complicated

What a cast of characters you and @Thirdly have put together here. I expect this to be one hell of a roller coaster ride from this chapter, until the very end❣️- 28 comments

Looking forward to see what develops with our main characters, after your seemingly early warning statement below:

A Christmas dinner and much more was shared by the three loving friends. To Elias it was a new beginning for him after losing his partner and feeling very alone for so long. He loved these men, and they also had strong feeling and love towards him. We will see what the future and @Albert1434, has in store for these caring men.

Well they are off for a long road trip to spend a week with Peter's family, during the break. Peter's coughing. still makes me uneasy about his health. Peter came clean with his family about his feelings towards Marty. Marty told his sister, about his relationship with Peter. But his relationship with his mother, and also the source of his past abuse, is still a bit of a mystery to us. I have the feeling that this story will become much more emotionally intense, during this week's visit. Right now everything appears to be going well, for our three travelers, let us hope it can remain that way.

A Meeting and Ed In Custody
Flip-Flop commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in A Meeting and Ed In Custody
Wow, it is apparent that Doug and Elaine have no idea about what they are dealing with, as it applies to a sex crazed Marie-Louise! It was laughable that they were only worried about what Nelson's intentions could be, towards their now pregnant niece. It was also thoughtful that Elaine went to bed, while the teens could get to know each other much better. Nelson was able to learn very much about a lustful and experienced Marie! And Todd enjoyed a great show, that Marie had to clean up, so Elaine would not slip and fall in the morning.- 28 comments

I loved these boys conversations. A very enjoyable read, that included many big questions about the ways of their small town world❣️

There is so much truth packed into these 166 words. The fact that life waits for no one is nothing new, but usually it is not expressed as well as this poetry has done. Thanks for sharing @Mikiesboy, this has been on my mind lately❣️

Two Schools Get Interesting
Flip-Flop commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Two Schools Get Interesting
George will be considered a witness in the case, as all his time can be accounted for; but that is not the case for Ed. Ed was caught in lies by police, and now is the prime suspect in the murder. Yes, Ed most likely snapped from ten years of bullying and abuse by Claude. This is a sad case, when we consider his age and the constant abuse and taunts he had suffered from for so long. Why was there no intervention by someone? It had to be common knowledge by now. 🤨 Marie-Louise is up to using her manipulation tricks to get what she wants, which is a man to trick with!- 27 comments

Ethan is taking wonderful care of John 👨🦽 and has made their temporary home into a warm and inviting Christmas experience! Their love and care has been expressed often, in the short time since John has returned from the hospital. They have faced past sorrows and are now creating new special memories as they move forward into a new life, with new challenges together. A lovely heartfelt chapter!
-
A well written chapter that had excellent pacing, as Peter and Marty struggled to find a way to share their intimate love and emotions, in spite of Marty's past history of abuse. We still do not understand what actually happened, but it was definitely a traumatic and life changing experience for Marty. Peter took great cares to keep Marty in the moment, and not to drift into any flashbacks from that time. The rest of the chapter was about acceptance of being in a gay relationship, and sharing it with their best, but unsurpassed friends. I hope a visit with Peter's family home will happen soon, during the school break! Another great chapter in the story of their romance.

Happy that Olivia and Josh are together in person, and have this time to share the physical bonding that they can't experience with phone calls. They appear to be on the same wavelength, as how to proceed with their relationship. Kevin is a great addition to this story. We shall see what emotions he can stir up within Daniel❣️ It was great bonding time, for all in attendance at the party. This family time together and sharing was much needed by all. Well done!

A sweet short story with the added bonus that the handsome Andy, also had an identical twin! Was it fate or a Guardian Angel? It does not really seem to matter. It all worked out to produce a very happy Carlos!

School Begins With a Bang
Flip-Flop commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in School Begins With a Bang
Poor George. He is sure to be drawn into a the investigation of Eds brutal murder of the bully Claude! Yikes, will Ed try to make him the main suspect, and/or is he now in danger from his deranged new best friend? Meanwhile back in Heiskell, Billy becomes involved into another future Marie-Louise drama. @Lee Wilson is a very busy author, always stirring his pots of troubles. -
John was finally able to return to their home, that Ethan's efforts had made very inviting and special, for his recovery. They shared this special night with Elias, who needed to recover from his own unseen, deeply personal wounds. The dinner and their heartfelt conversations were a healing experience for all three men. Janet's visit reminded the men, that their futures were still ahead of them. It was time for healing from past wounds and previous sorrows, and to think how best to move forward. ❤️🩹

Same here! Mine were bought by my parents at least 75 years ago! They are heavy-duty, and I love using them❣️
