Orinovo is totally upset. It's cultural heritage palace in the center of the country was destroyed by Lys-Akkarian forces. Neven and Yarima are especially incensed. The courtiers were reached. They did not order an attack. It would take time to get forces into place for an attack a week ago. The Herald would have been in charge to order the attack. This destruction would be something he would want and know he would re-start the combat. The Herald in his cell must know Orinovo would now attack. He would get the destructive was he wanted.

The people situation has gotten more complex and difficult. George, we have seen, can focus on what really matters. He may have to be celibate until he returns to his British ship, but he will whip the Spanish ship and its officers into shape and forcefully kick out any rotten apples. He is motivated and knows he must succeed for his own career impact. I bet no one will want to mess with him unless they are stupid or foolhardy. He has learned what to do when taking over a ship with a bad history from improving provisions, making sure the sailors have appropriate clothes and conducting sail and gunnery drills and taking the ship through its paces at sea. He will be open to spending money where needed and examining his officers and men as they go through the ship's paces.

I loved Knives Out. I understand there may be a 4th installment of Knives Out with Daniel Craig again. This confusing group "who dun it" mystery style is catching.

The ship is free and Eriks and Lukas are on their way. The police cleaned up the mess and declared the ship and Lukas destroyed so they have a new life so to speak. Eriks has to realize he needs to touch Lukas to keep him alive. Maybe, a good and long hugs will do. Lukas deep code will let him support very intimate encounters,, but Eriks seems not interested They are traveling in space away from the place of origin and Eriks has to decide what to do next. I see from a previous post that a third, young male crewman named Tripp is expected. I hope the drone will keep giving them good advice. I am looking forward to their adventures

You can feel something is going to happen to Lukas. The mysterious man must be involved. Great start to this new story.

Captain Palomar told Granger...."I have spent some time getting to know the officers aboard Proserpina." He gave Granger a full report and he learned he had a mix of competence and openness to taking orders from someone of a lower class. His first officer could be difficult to work with and has served with French officers. He could be one of two officers who has French sympathies. Palomar did not know who the potential French spies might be. Granger found out it he did not really have a free hand to remove his officers. It could be difficult to remove an officer due to their higher social class and will need a good reason. No doubt Granger will study his officers and take command and act forcefully with his best skills. He will definitely be in charge. Winkler might again be a good asset to get a better feel about the ship and its men. His chef might also learn about any pro-French people on the ship. He at one point returned Palomar's slightly suggestive attitude and seemed to worry Palomar. Granger backed off and wondered if he had read the man wrong. He could be naturally flirty or had acted in a way that he thought a straight male who had a wife and mistress and children would be understand. George is going to be very careful around Palomar from now on.

Sky realized the filming was going so well . "It seemed a bit magical and made filming every scene meaningful and exciting for me. I bet Jesse, Isaiah, Dimitri and the gremlin can each add their own capabilities that will make their new effort succeed If the Father and his leadership host and ability to control his flock are wiped out, there should be a power vacuum and upheaval in this part of the galaxy

Mickey Ryder cannot get a break running a worn out mail ship. He just does not follow a straight path and shocks others. His taste in women sucks and has left him with children and child support he cannot afford, He runs afoul of the Father and the cult of New Eden by taking in two young male members of the flock . One wants to escape the form of prison he knows he is in and hides aboard Mickey's ship as a stowaway and one who is his si=on and is mandated by a judge to take in. Add a helpful AI named Hughie and a chaos causing gremlin who needs snacks and you have almost certain disaster outcome. Mickey changes ships when he can to better his lot in life. Eventually he faces three challenges almost at the same time: a bounty hunter, the Father with his fleet and a magnificent crystal spire holding unbelievable power. All three want him or parts of his crew. How he resolves his problems and hopefully prospers and helps his friends will likely fascinate you. Be ready to be entertained.

Johnny is transitioning, reading scripts, looking at old movies, He seems to be moving away from water and the surf into a new life wanting to become a movie actor. Bruce has become a listening , supportive companion. Breaking into an acting career is very difficult. I hope Johnny is lucky and finds the right people and opportunities.

Bravo! You did it. You found a way to thread the needle and enable Mickey and crew to escape the Father and his minions. Mickey stayed irreverent and insulted the Father calling him Daddy to also distract him from understanding his escape ploy. They got their old ship back and left with lots of snacks, The Father had to wait to restart the battle cruiser and Lord Quak in the Spire will be told what bad things the Father did so he will want to turn his harmonic weapon on him. The Father will not know how destructive this weapon is. Mickey's plan will neutralize the Father's empire and end any future attacks on Mickey and his crew.

The one bright thing in the crusader camp was that Ashot got his monk and Julian gave him a coin. It was a basic transaction. not romance or love. Stepen is mortified. But, will he want to do it again with Ashot? He will need more coins. The crusader camp is a mess with massive internal conflicts, hurt by the loss of the signature banner and religious symbols, facing more death and extensive sickness. The only solid core to fight remains the vanguard under Darien. But the Turks in Antioch are not feeling happy. They have bested the crusaders just now and found out the promised support from allies will not arrive and have gone home. Khalid is shocked and upset. Rashid looks placid and did not actually expect any promised support, He knew they had to win on their own. Given the disaster in the crusader camp, he must be hopeful. I am sure he has heard from his doctor how illness has taken down many good crusader fighters. Wylan and Ishan are still not mentally connecting which is very disturbing.

Graeme was masterful. He worked himself free while Sam spoke and got the bad guys attention. Graeme swung his sword effectively killing those who intended ti kill Sam and Grame. Rafe, the head man, lost his head as he threated to slice Sam's throat. They were able to escape. Now Sam will have to face his expressions of love and desire for Graeme unless Graeme decides at first to ignore what Sam has said. I do not think Sam will retreat from his feelings, though.

Now, the Herald told us what his motivation was. He would use this country's army to attack his former homeland and destroy the royal family who made him an orphan. "Want the throne? Oh no, dear Iryn. I do not want Orinovo's throne." His gaze darkened, the smile sharpening, the pleasant mask all but gone now. " I want to wade through Anarov blood and grind their bones to dust. I want to display Svytlani's head on a pike." Now, what is his punishment to be? Death? Life imprisonment?

I would love to see the Spire and the Father's ships attack each other and leave Mickey's crew alone It could be Mutual Assured Destruction between the two major powers

Glad to know they survive onto a new story. They have to weather some serious problems with 2% of the crew needed to man this battle cruiser. I guess they with get more creative luck right now.
