  1. Your memory is as bad as mine. At this time, I am grandchild-less. One daughter and a stepson are married, but neither has had a baby.
  2. Yeah, I had forgotten about this. But I will add a paragraph or two. He is of that age where that problem "arises" at the drop of a hat. You'd be second in line for that particular crown. If anybody gets an all-expense paid trip to Italy, it'll be me.
  3. I think it definitely will be.
  4. True. As I said, from here on was initially a sequel. Same here. I'm fine being naked around strangers, but family, that's a little too weird for me. My characters, not so much. Yikes! That's one thing I forgot to close the loop on. Note to self, update one of the last two chapters with Winston's story.
  5. The walls have come tumbling down on Oliver. Nasty breakup with Cody. Alex continued to prove himself as a dick. Logan thinking it’s better to break up because Ollie still loves Cody. Only one more chapter left? Lots to close out. Or is there a sequel planned with Cody and Alex in Peru?
  6. Seth Wow. I can't believe it. I mean I can believe it because Art and I have been sort of together for a couple months now. But him asking his dads if ‘his boyfriend Seth' can go to Italy with them over Christmas break, that's what's hard to believe. I'm his boyfriend. That feels so good just thinking it. When I came to Brumfeld I was hoping to even get one good friend. I have 6, one of which is a REALLY good one. I just hope my parents are OK with it. They like Art's dads, so hopefully. Pl
  7. Sounds like I did a pretty good job wrapping up this aspect of the story. I don't think I mention Sam and a therapist, but like you said, we can assume it happens off screen.
  8. True in both cases.
  9. At least it was just a fictional life.
  10. Happy is my middle name. OK, not really.
  11. No carry over attitude expected.
  12. I don’t think so. Just a few: Sam: Fuck you, asshole! Bobby: Drop dead, you butthead! Sam: Can we go now?
  13. Better late than never. Although I like writing court scenes, I hadn’t done much of that when this was first written. I knew he’d be going away for a long time regardless, so the plea agreement made sense. Seth got in well and his parents came around quickly.
  14. Definitely a kind of mixed emotions chapter.
  15. True. He wasn't a very good person, but he was far from the worst. At least he wasn't squashed by a semi trailer 🙂
  16. Steven I'm thinking that after dad has his hearing with the feds, he might get moved to a federal facility, who knows where. Since he's still reasonably local, if I want to go confront him, now is the time. This weekend I'll take a trip to the jail to visit him. The drive to Forest State Penitentiary isn't a short one, almost 90 minutes, but this is a one-time deal so I can handle it. Saturday rolls around and I visit the prison. After going through what seems like 75 levels of securit
  17. Things definitely went well for the good guys in this chapter, and the apparently bad guys that aren't really bad. Leon steps up quite a bit in upcoming chapters before he takes a back seat for a while. I'd said it before; Leon is a good guy.
  18. Thanks. I hadn’t really thought of it that way, but you’re right.
  19. I did make Art’s dads pretty nice. Yes, Seth has been sheltered.
  20. I had sleepovers and sleepouts, but the messing around never happened. Otherwise, similar childhoods.
  21. No argument here.
  22. I wish I had some of those days….
  23. FYI, chapter 17 was the last part of the original posting. 18-20 were a sequel, but I combined them here. So, 4 to go.
  24. Yep, this is a good bunch.
  25. All true. I’d say it all went pretty well.
