Chapter 22 Bonus Snippet and Author's Note
Lee Wilson commented on kbois's story chapter in Chapter 22 Bonus Snippet and Author's Note
Hmmmm, where is the ‘disappointed’ emoji? I was expecting one of Kim’s illustrations. Just kidding about disappointed. -
Everybody already said it, so I’ll just add: WOW!
-
I can top that. Saudi Arabia, August, 50 degrees C. That’s 122F for those mathematically challenged. Probably close to 0 humidity. The pool on the compound was too hot to use. Freaking HOT, still too tame a description.
-
It’s a good thing @kbois owns stock in kleenex. Otherwise, she’d go broke sending tissues to all of us. You just have to fool the readers for a bit. I once killed off a main character, but then it was discovered the hospital mixed up the patient’s charts, and boom! An extra was dead.
-
You’re so lucky I’m reading this 2 years late. I take after my uncle. Jeffrey Dahmer was my uncle. J/K.
-
I actually, in theory, could have. It’s going to bug the hell out of me now, but I remember reading something, not even sure if it was a book or a story on the internet, where twins that nobody knew about were the antagonists. I used to like not remembering details about books so reading them over again was still almost like reading them anew. Hopefully, I’ll forget about being bugged by the similarities just as easily. But I doubt it.

You know what sucks? More than a double cliffie? Reading the comments taking longer than reading the story!!!
-
My speculation is pointless, but if I’m close, at least @kbois can’t change the story. Option 1: Heather wasn’t dead, Greene stashed her and her baby away somewhere and she’s been backing Greene all the way. Option 2: Kim, Nikki, and Heather weren’t the only victims, and the other one was Greene’s long-time lover. I guess I get to find out right away, not have to wait 3 days like everybody else. 😈
-
Heather's parents could have had her declared legally dead after 7 years. It's likely they had already done that.
-
You can have a cliffhanger in a single chapter. Set it up in the first act and resolve it in the third.
-
Hehe. Yes, she's been heart-healthy since open-heart surgery at 7 months. No kidding?

Wow. I could probably write a whole chapter myself in response to this one. I'll try to keep it short. If Dr. Baby Broker had been in one of my stories, he'd have died a horrible death in prison. Think slow dismemberment. Maybe even painful poisoning. Hell, why not both? Second point, being adopted myself, this hit hard. I knew from a fairly early age that I was adopted, no, scratch that - chosen. No messed-up circumstances though. I have a daughter that was born with medical issues, so the first wife searched long and hard to locate my birth mother, solely for the purpose of medical history. We actually became friends, took vacations together, still communicate. She's the only 'grandparent' my kids have left. I have every hope that Kim will realize that she has a chance to make a positive impact in Megan's life, however small it may be. Finally, my sperm donor wasn't as much of a shit as Dr. Greene, but since he never acknowledged me, I felt it was his loss. My other daughter met him once, she was pretty much brushed aside. Needless to say, I shed no tears when I heard he died. Excellent story. I can't wait to find out that the characters get through this together. PS You owe me a box of tissues. 🤪

I was tested when I was younger. One of my allergies was supposedly cat dander. A few years ago, while cleaning out my old house, my daughter had left her cat there for a few days. I had no reaction. Sometimes allergies seem to just go away. I was always a dog person too. I have 8 cats right now. 7 rescues and one neighborhood cat that we took in a couple weeks ago when it got injured.

Late to the party (as usual). You had me at "a soft ‘woof’ "

Mason's Future and Is Karl's Reputation a Deterrent?
Lee Wilson commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Mason's Future and Is Karl's Reputation a Deterrent?
Yeah. I drew a blank on a good name for them. I didn't think the "we're going to get our asses kicked bunch" would have worked. You know, gave away too much. I thought of how Carlo could even the odds a little and I figured crossover. But I had to work in a way to synch up the seasons, it's January-ish here, and November in Reggie. I think it'll work out OK. -
Mason's Future and Is Karl's Reputation a Deterrent?
Lee Wilson posted new chapter in My Friend and Protector
The ambulance came and took Mason to Lake Butler Hospital. It arrived at the hospital and the attending physician took one look at Mason's face and immediately sent him for a CT scan. When the scan completed, the radiographer updated Mason's chart, indicating there were no long-term impacts. What he found was a likely concussion and broken jaw. Mason was returned to the ER, awaiting family to approve any treatment. A short time later, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon arrived. The attending physician gav- 5 comments

Sudden Death - Too Young She'd kissed her husband Richard good-bye as he left on a business trip a few hours ago. Tina was just getting back from the elementary school after taking the three kids to the book fair. The two oldest attended school there. The three of them liked reading to different degrees. Richard Jr., the oldest at ten, only somewhat, but Pokemon and similar books were his choice. Lynn, the middle child loved reading, and at seven, had outgrown your typical "baby" books, but

A Visit with Marty and Holiday Happenings
Lee Wilson posted new chapter in Reggie: Matt's New Friend
Sunday October 15 Marty's been in juvie for almost three weeks now. It's time we check in and see how he's doing. "Ramona Martin to see Martin Martin." "ID please? Sign here. Are you carrying any weapons or anything that can be used as a weapon?" "No." "Are you leaving anything with the inmate today?" "Just a radio." "Please place it on the table for inspection. We'll need to more closely inspect the radio. I'm not saying you have, but people hide prohibited it- 5 comments

Word Gets Around and Closeness With Brandon

Interesting, but they moved because dad was a hot shot lawyer. That was where my thinking wad going. But stupidity may just prove that but to be true. -

How many times do I have to tell you? Eyes on your own paper. I'm going to have to make you stay after school for a good tongue lashing.😁 -

Ask and ye shall receive. Sometimes, anyway. TBH, Carlo and Brandon weren't the only ones who needed to clean up after that scene was written. -

I didn't see Mason the rest of that day, not that I normally do anyway. A little while after I got home, my phone rings. "Hello?" "Hey Carlo." "Oh, hi Brand. What's up?" "Nothing really. Lunch was almost over so I couldn't ask you what happened. But Mason came home smelling like a toilet, grumbling things like 'I'll make him pay' and 'fucker sneaks up behind me.'" "Yeah. He followed me into the bathroom, grabbed ME from behind, making me piss on the floor, my shoes and p- 13 comments

Wednesday October 11 Drew hasn't been very happy today. Not much chance of talking outside of lunch, so I have to wait to ask him what's up. Reggie and Al are here too. "What's up, Drew? You seem a little down." "I don't know. My dad found out about Sunday morning." "How?" "My mom was doing the laundry last night, noticed the stained underwear. She said she wouldn't tell my father, but he picked that moment to show up in the kitchen. He looked at them and knew what I had
