A birthday, a Flash in the Pan, and College Maybe?
Lee Wilson posted new chapter in Don't Blame The Band
Friday June 23 - Evening Headache gone (thanks extra-strength acetaminophen), no additional alcohol consumed, it was off to the show. Ant had run me over to Eddie and David's (sounds like a cookie company - Eddie and David's chocolate chip cookies - Heaven from the twins). I had my car back, my sax was still in it, somebody must have locked the car for me. I get to Garson's and walk into the storeroom and Rich looks at me kind of funny. 2023 Anthology - Leap of Faith - Roll Call!
Lee Wilson commented on Valkyrie's blog entry in Gay Authors News
No snippet, but here's my Synopsis: How does a man deal with the death of his wife and picking up the pieces? Sometimes not well. -
"OK, get the blanket off of him so we can take the x-rays." "Um, Dr. James, you better see this." "Uh oh. Discharge from the anus. If that's what it looks like, we'll need a rape kit. Damn, I should have uncovered him completely when I looked him over." "I'll go get one." "I hope that animal is in the database. How someone can do that to a kid is beyond me." "I'll phone the police." Matt gets x-rayed from head to toe. Fortunately, like Earnest thought without a thor

Single Day and the First Real Concert
Lee Wilson commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Single Day and the First Real Concert
Once again, I must admonish you to keep your eyes on your own paper 😁 Secondly, mostly true. Pete is the lyricist, Ant does the melody, and the rest of the band fills in each of their parts. So, a team effort, but Pete and Ant are the catalysts. -
Saturday December 31 We have a little bit of a different gig tonight. Paul Garson worked through Michelle for us to play their New Year's Eve party. Of course, it cost Paul more than his usual $200 each (yeah, we got another raise after the Atlantic contract news broke), but he's charging a buttload more, so I guess shelling out $5000 to Atlantic was worth his while. Of course, we had to practice 'Auld Lang Syne." I mean, what's New Years without it? We were making more, so Paul asked

Lawyers and More from Marty
Lee Wilson commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Lawyers and More from Marty
@NimirRaj I understand your point, but as the chapter ends, he’s only been in the ER a very short while, and no-one but the EMT that helped has really done anything to/with/for him. I figured with an apparent head injury, that would be the first thing addressed. -

Amazingly stupid apparently. -

Call it a tie. They both have an IQ of 0. @weinerdog Hmmmm. I guess the second piece is one of those 'wait and see' things. -
Tuesday September 5 It's almost dinner time at the Harrison household when the doorbell rings. "Hello Mrs. Harrison. I'm detective Farlie from the Portland Police Department. Do you have a son, Matthew?" "Yes, detective..." "Is he here, and may I speak with him, in your presence, of course?" "Sure, come on in... Have a seat here in the living room, I'll go get him and his father. Moments later, she returns with the two of them. "What can we do for you detective?"

Recovery and Five Fun-filled Days in Newark, NJ
Lee Wilson commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Recovery and Five Fun-filled Days in Newark, NJ
Chapter 2, they added it. I’m going to guess Eddie faked it on his keyboards until Pete bought the used one and learned it. -

That was actually said once already in chapter four: "No. Dad talked about it when I got home yesterday, so I only acted surprised." "Asshole." "Thanks Rich. I appreciate the compliment." "Then how's this compliment. Fucking asshole. You're out of the band." Eddie said that so seriously. "What?" "You heard me. I'm tired of your practical jokes." The rest of the guys are as shocked as I am until Eddie bursts out laughing. I’m not sure yet how it will be said again. I’m obviously not ready to end the story anytime soon. Pete leaving the band would probably be a precursor to my typing the words ‘the end.’ Oh, I recently saw a portion of a Peter Frampton concert on PBS where he was sitting down. Rare, but it does occur. Jeff Healy plays the guitar seated as well (see the movie Roadhouse.) -

Saturday November 26 Terrance and Corrine stop by to see Pete late in the morning. They visit for a little while and then scare up Dr. Klaus. "Good morning doctor." "Hello Mr. and Mrs. Daggett. How are you today." "Pretty good. Pete's continuing to improve, that is the most important factor at the moment." "Very true Terrance. I suppose you'd like another official update?" "If you wouldn't mind." "Not at all Corrine. As you saw, Pete is improving very quickly.- 7 comments

"I’m letting everybody down by not being what they want me to be" You need to be what YOU want you to be. Fuck everybody. "There’s an ‘escape’. Even if there isn’t a ‘Brody’ to help you through it (I didn’t have one)" I hope you have your own Brody now.

Is it possible? Mr. Raffe turns out to be the hero? Maybe?

Finally. A chance to use something other than the sad emoji. Even crossed fingers is an improvement. Things will get better Zack buddy, I know it now.
-
@Comicality I'm getting tired of using the sad emoji every chapter. I keep starting every new one thinking 'this is where it starts getting better.' But even if I have to sit through 9 more chapters, plopping down 😢 after every one, I'm not giving up!

I was thinking a different kind of trigger. Nothing about Zack's father that can't be solved with .357 magnum.

Or worse.

Wednesday August 30 Dad comes home from work with more news. "Well, the loan forgiveness paperwork is finalized. C&H Renovations will now be much more profitable." "Does that mean I can get an allowance now?" "Well, perhaps Matt. I was actually thinking of something a little different. Since your brother is no longer working at the Shop-N-Save, I was wondering if you'd be interested in starting on the job with me Bru? Don't look at me like that Matt. I'll get to you."

Some of us are luckier in that regard I suppose. I had the foundation already written for a previous entry on a writing site, defunct, fortunately, my identity is still hidden. I generally write in my mind while I'm lying in bed at night. The next day it goes down on paper. I can usually pump out a chapter in a day, two days for the longer stories. Being able to focus on the story is important.

I sure hope my leap doesn't look like this.

Four Suits, Please. But I'm Not a Tailor!
Lee Wilson commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Four Suits, Please. But I'm Not a Tailor!
She's aware of the initial lawsuit Terrance is already working. My idea of five fun-filled days is truly that. Six young men spending time in a hotel, two of them being Pete and Ant, rooming together. Well, I'll let you figure out where that's leading. -
5 years too late, but I'm getting a sneaky suspicion that Ross is Indyboi91.

Thursday November 24 - Evening Following along with Rob for a bit. "Can you direct me to room 402, please?" "402. Miles Jackson?" "Yes." How fucked up is this hospital that they can't even keep track of their patients? "Use the elevators behind you. Fourth floor, turn left off the elevator, last room on the left." "Thank you." I follow the woman's directions, half expecting to end up in maternity, but it was a regular room. I walk in the door and can't con

If the leap falls short, i.e a loss of faith, would it still qualify?
