FYI, I made a statement at one point in the story that there’s never been a blind swimmer in the “real” Olympics, but we all know there’s a first time for everything. Even in fiction.     Perhaps you don’t consider Minnesota a Midwestern state. It’s America’s hockey hot bed. Not to mention that Michigan and North Dakota are strong hockey powerhouse universities. As of the 2025-26 season, there are 64 NCAA Division I men's ice hockey programs.

    Darren had bought a used 2021 Toyota Camry shortly after his eighteenth birthday. He let Luca drive it whenever necessary. This worked out well, because Darren needed to move in at ASU two weeks before Luca. On August second, Esteban, Aurora, Luca, and Darren drove to Tempe in Esteban’s RAM truck.
