This is the most intimate and the most tender love story @Mrsgnomie has written. It shows that every life is dramatic enough even without painful betrayals and heartbreaking adulteries. Devastated by the loss of his wife, Kyan is left with four kids. But then he starts learning the real power of love. The support and unconditional love from his in-lows helps him grow and overcome his insecurities. His brother-in-law and best friend Perry, hero of unselfishness, helps him discover love again and find passion deeply buried in himself. There’s been teasing going around the comments when @Mrsgnomie posted pictures of Kyan and Perry. Why are “ordinary” and “average” people not acceptable in something that is, above all, family tale? I asked myself at the end of the story, what kind of people are they if they are not ordinary and average and then it came to me – they are decent people. Decent, loving, caring people. This story is shining with aura of their love. In ugly world we are living, surrounded by mean, aggressive, judgmental people, this family is island of hope, a shiny star, and a flame that doesn’t heat only characters but readers too. That is the reason why we were desperately searching for good looking models, because with their pretty faces we wanted to express inner beauty of character’s souls. Yes, characters are the most captivating thing of this story because everybody needs father as Kyan or Jed, everybody needs a partner as Perry, and everybody needs a friend as Max… As an old Beatles song says All you need is love! This story made me become a member of GA which tells a lot about it. I would like to believe that this story made me at least a little bit better person.

What a pleasant morning surprise for fans across the ocean! And then, the morning madness started, no time before 10am CET to read complete chapter and all the comments! 🤪 First, I've been thinking, where's the rush...like, one chapter missing..."Gone with the appendix"! 😂 But, then again, 24 chapters, this is not short story, not at all... So, what does it tell us, it tells me that you have written such amazing masterpiece that I could enjoy their family routine week after week after week...not to get bored. I am already missing this small tradition of anticipation next chapter! I'm sure I'll be coming back to comment one or other part of the chapter but in general, what amazing end this is! @Mrsgnomie has made a wonderful world. She explores relations between gay couples putting them in rather accepting surrounding. In that way she can discover the depth of emotions and growth of relationship without negative influence of the society. We see the life should gay couples live in normal society as heterosexual couples does. I usually avoid using word "normal" because it is often misused to persecute different, and precisely because of that I will say that gay relationships are normal in @Mrsgnomie tales, with homophobia being abomination and, generally rare. It is people who are important in her stories, their genders, sexualities, skin color are just differences which make this world more joyful and better place to live. Bravo @Mrsgnomie

This story is beautiful honoring to the heroes of war. Jess is a SEAL, suffering from PTSD. An accident in the fountain makes him acquainted to Ben, former army officer and Cora, therapeutic dog. Apart from the physical attraction Jess feels toward Ben, he is reluctant to involve in the therapy and start the process of healing. Spending time together, with the help of their dogs, they influence each other and help healing the scars of the past. Their relationship grows into romance. Two damaged, lost souls find love and hope, find strength to move forward.

Beautiful story! You have made amazing characters, and the dogs are wonderful too! The way that Ben and Jess influence each other, help each other to overcome scars of the past is so touching and heartwarming.

I know it is. I have used this word more as characteristic behavior than diagnosis, but, with your thoughtful explanation, I believe it could be both. Good therapy program can make miracles happen. I have cousin with Down syndrome, she is like angel and able to do many things without support thanx to good program - using public transportation, working in coffee shop...

But you did a great job with that. In Shadow , when twins have been found, they seemed wild and autistic. I thought they will stay that way until the cure is discovered in this story. Nevertheless, you've made them intelligent, smart, even charming... They participated in serious conversations about hybrid's future and made some good contribution to discussion. I've already started to like them then.

I have feeling that there is a large amount of respect in this interaction, as conversation between some antient beings. Although it is followed by funny teasing between Silas and Rosalie, this first part captured my attention. It is some sort of recognition. Asa might look like a hot, young cowboy, but he is rather distinguished gest due to his rarity and abilities.
