Twist?! Is it? Does it really matter is Caleb Nate's biological son or stepbrother? Since the beginning of the story, it is noticeable absence of any women in Nate's life (except for his mother). So, I already thought that he is a single father for a long time, rescuing Caleb as orphan or Caleb being a one-night stand result. Scene in club - Caleb punching one of the guys and Ryan's reaction - actually recognizing Nate's energy in Caleb's punches... might be prove of shared DNA, but it could also be a misleading, something that @CasualWanderer82 likes to do to his readers! Coming from dysfunctional family, Nate could not establish a functional one. His marriage to Jenna was not union between man and woman in love, it was Nate on mission of Saving Private Ryan! Finding a baby was moment of fate in Nate's life. Hope he feels! The world shifted beneath him completely! I believe we are closer to the answer from the previous chapter - Who is Nathaniel? He's dark and rough Peter Pan whose destiny has become saving the lost boys. He is their protector and father - he is their family. But here we come to the conflict of loyalty. Can one be the loyal soldier of the mafia, and loyal protector of his son at the same time. What happens when he has to choose... happens the Men Up story. Nate has chosen his boy as Enzo has, eventually, chosen his boy too - Nate is Enzo's boy! "This life," Salvatore continued evenly as if nothing had interrupted him, "is about debts, boy…" He let the words hang heavy between them long enough before finishing quietly. "…and the debt always comes due." Will Nate and Enzo have to pay off their debt so Caleb and Ryan could find a peace in Mexico? Actually, writing this final sentence, it came to me that Nate might be already dead and, after giving to the boys their final instructions, with one bullet in the gun, Enzo is waiting to join the Nate on their final journey ...

As I say from the start about Owen and co. - wusses! Not justifying Lucas' behavior but, there is at least explanation for it - he's a victim of rape and molesting (btw, I think he has escaped his uncle and grandmother - hope police will find out about abuse before returning him to hell). These scars on the soul might be treated (successfully or not) but cowardness is inoperable! Neil's new living arrangement with his father and Dwight is as good as therapy! Finally, he is surrounded by people who understand him and are able to help. Btw, we haven't heard from Alex for some time... 🤔

As much as I LOVE @CasualWanderer82's smut writing, this threesome might be a challenge to write as I don't know who would do what! No doubt there is love but, their relationships are so different! It would have to be something completely new in their dynamics! Then again, they are not the same persons they were at the beginning so... Nevertheless, @CasualWanderer82 never ceases to surprise me! 😉

Every decision has its consequences! Michael has paid for his deeds but deciding not to make any contact with him, Sarah and children condemned themself to question that decision over and over again. There is no point visiting the gravesite now. Unfortunately, nobody got the peace they needed!

So, Mac Philpott was like emperor from "The Emperor's New Clothes" tale! When Graham in his interview finally said, "the emperor has no clothes", the others started to see that famous local humanitarian and benefactor was not exactly a saint!

Who are you, Nathaniel?! I'm wondering (wondering wonderer ) ... did Nathe kill his father... and then has made killing a business... But not just as 'any' assassin, more like murderer of bullies, molesters... I suppose next chapter will relieve the answers, still, it is interesting to imagine Nate as a knight! The bottle of whiskey might help to swallow the news, but I don't think there is anything that can break the boys anymore. There's still to see is Uncle Enzo's role only as a messenger or there is something more. Ah, and then... there's the love making! In one moment, I was thinking that Caleb, while taking over the dominant role, is going to be on top. Not that roles are particularly important in their sexual dynamics, I just thought, Ryan needs to surrender more than Caleb! While Nate gave him rough, animalistic painkilling penetration, Caleb should give him tender, emotional, sensual loving penetration! Unlike the boys who are still trying to find a daddy, somewhere along their journey, I, as a reader, started to think more of their future than finding Nate. Therefore, Enzo giving them money and documents is important for the fresh start. Some closure with Nate is important for the boys but, does it mean 'finding' him in person or making peace with what he was to them and who he really is, without actual encounter?

AMEN! What a chapter - a combination of lucidity, bitterness, irony, ignorance and some fine tone of sadness! Roman is not a stupid man not to understand what it is all about! Oh man... he's afraid! He's afraid what he felt that night... because he is a 'badass Latino', he doesn't do relationships, he doesn't do romance... There is one fear I understand - Roman doesn't want to be Consolation Price for Sam either! On the other hand, Roman really has a problem to express himself. 'You could call me in Club'?!?!!?!?!?!? I mean - Really?!?!? Do you want to humiliate me some more?!?!?! Lucky that Max was professional enough not to kick him between legs in that moment! Roman should really take a few lessons from Ben! Ha, funny thing, at one moment, even I forgot Adam was present in the ambulance! I've been thinking - where did he go?!

You should be proud of the job you've done so far! For a newcomer at GA, you are a superstar! I'm sending you my profound admiration!

Bravo Jonah! Honesty is best policy! He hasn't handled the best embarrassment about vomiting over Will, but telling the truth about James is very mature for one teenager. His life is already complicated, avoiding lies and love triangle drama is best he can do!

What started as a local case, developed into state and federal case...and evolved, eventually, into the international case! Global evil that united the forces of police, justice system, FBA, military forces, Italian mafia, local civil militia, many good people...up to the Defense Secretary himself. And all started with one phone call... I think story is coming to its culmination leaving so many interesting characters and their stories to be told in other Lincoln universe stories! Now, I'm only speculating here but... could Mario Espinoza be Juan Ramos' father? 🤔 One suggestion... @empath you've mentioned possibility to publish List of Characters. You might do it in Prologue or as @lilansui in Blog and then put a link to it at the bottom of every chapter (I've recently reread her story 'The Reluctant Consort' and saw this solution for the list of characters).

My second read and I'm delighted as first time! Amazing, wonderful, beautiful... complex story of war, politic intrigues and love. I really hope you continue soon with Blades of Ashes @lilansui because you are master of epis fantasy genre!

Oh, I like good revenge stories! Before I remember something from GA, I can recommend my all-time favorite classic: The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas!

All the naked men of @Robert Hugill's universe! Hm, who is going to join this charming little family 'naked butt' tea party?

This is absolutely the most wonderful chapter since the beginning of the story! I LOVED dirty dancing scene followed by hot and passionate sex in the car. Or... it's been love making... Ryan touched my heart deeply... boy that was 'never kissed before'. Kissing 'virgin' in desperate need for love. @JJ Quinn says in one of her stories for one of characters - 'closeted good guy'! That's what Ryan is in this story. A boy who brings a book, knowing how much it means to Caleb. That's declaration of love even before the scene in the car! Caleb is slowly becoming aware of his strength and power! But he's still afraid... it is all new and unexpected for him! His feelings are split between Nate and Ryan. Waking up that morning in the car, he's still afraid he is 'betraying' his feelings for Nate... not aware that he has enough love for both men! A look into the Nate's past gives us the answer where does the pain come from. Nate has made his life mission to love and protect his boy(s), with ultimate goal to make them able to protect themselves. @CasualWanderer82 you've masterfully hided Nate's character into rough... I dear to say cruel, mask at the beginning of the story. I couldn't see his complexity... Bravo @CasualWanderer82!

Oh, our boys are scared to death! They are like two balls in Pinball machine, hitting walls, clashing to each other and bouncing off during the entire chapter. Whatever the reason behind Nate's leaving might be, Ryan and Caleb have been brought to another level of this game. This level doesn't include Nate's physical presence. They are on they own now. Although insecure and confused in moments, boys started this level of the game rather good - they escaped the dungeon, run from the 'man in suits' and went to a quest for daddy! I'm so excited about this journey!!!

Altogether with tower for Matt to watch birds! 😜

I've expected this chapter to be from Roman's POV, instead Max is back. Poor Max, Roman's sneaking out of the hotel room certainly didn't help Max's healing. Nevertheless, messing around your working place is never smart! We have saying in my country, something like - Don't shit around your neighborhood as you might step in! The same is with job! Jenet is more protective of Max than he's aware of it! Great start of a new story JJ!
