Incredible, prophetic words! The story has been published in 2013, but it can be older. In 2024, we see dangerous changes in the world. God help us all! Amazing story! Hope that @dkstories is well, siting somewhere at the seaside, under the palms, watching the world and laughs to himself!

Humble pie, domesticity and Dragons’ Den
Cane23 commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in Humble pie, domesticity and Dragons’ Den
Ralph really DO like Nolan! It is not easy to swallow your pride and go talk with bigoted father. It also shows that characters and family relations are not one-dimensional in this story. Despite the judgmental treatment and, actually, lack of respect from his parents, there is fact that he went to his father for help when he needed it, as every child (no matter how old) should do. New Ralph, confident, standing for himself might get more respect from his parents then the obedient one. We'll see. On the other hand, domestic atmosphere in house is so charming. Ralph and Nolan trying to steal moments for themself as most of the parents do. Circumstances are so unusual, Nolan is spending nights with Ralph while girls are in the house, and he is in their room while they are at Theresa's. * I hate word 'pervert' as much as I hate word 'abomination'!- 20 comments

Oh man...you are amazing! Such a talented author, incredible! Chess is divine game and I'm intrigued by the story and all the metaphors connected to chess pieces, symbolics and game itself. Usually, 'death' of king means end of game. But you introduce a new character, king's son, a pawn. Then again, the reminiscence is incredible so, it could easily be - The king is dead, long live the king!

May you live in interesting times

I've been waiting @Summerabbacat's comment first as this chapter made me upset. I sympathize with Ludo and Damian; their life is complete upside down. It is absolutely clear now what the title Those Left Behind means! -
Good morning good people! This time differences are interesting! 😁 It's 7.30 CET! I've been to book fair on Sunday. I haven't found books by Murakami and Julian Barnes I wanted to buy, so, it was just visiting. Since I'm actively reading online stories, not much time for printed books!

October CSR Discussion Day: Turnabout is Fair Fae by Valkyrie
Cane23 commented on Cia's blog entry in Gay Authors News
I've read The Hollow Hills before I became the member of GA. It was the first story with rape and mental issues I've read and it left incredible impression on me at that moment. Before that I was reading mainly romantic stories, with some good smut, a little bit of drama and happy end. The Hollow Hills has been completely new experience for me, so, thank you @Valkyrie for that amazing experience! -
Rogue accountants and supportive friends

What amazing chapter, totally agree with @Summerabbacat - interesting development and reversed roles. I like this dominant Ralph! He was insecure and afraid for so long... now he shows that he can be a badass, at least something good he can take occasionally out of his father's attitude! There is something good out of this situation, Nolan coming to live with Ralph! Sometimes, unexpected circumstances force the events! -
Why didn't Cole choose Glen to be his wingman?! Or he really has some hidden feelings for Dale?! 🤷♂️

Or maybe just celebrate because such events are very rare, usually occur as often as Halley's Comet! -
Beside congressman and his son, what is the benefit for Dale or LGBTQ+ community? The same congressman voted conservative when it was in his own interest, now he wants to support gay rights. He is not a man of principles he is just a sleazy politician! If public opinion changes, he'll change his policy again! Only reasonable argument for Dale to accept this proposal might be possibility to help his mother healing and rehabilitation.

I understand Matt, there's lot to digest here!

The problem is that Dylan is teenager with many conflicted emotions. It's very difficult to control them and he never knows which one will prevail. Brain says - get away from them as far as possible! Heart on a good day says - I know he hurt me, but I cannot forget how he was kind and good before that. Maybe he can really change for better! Heart on a bad day says - revenge to the bastard! Dick says - just forget everything and F*CK him!

I just LOVE good 'reunion' stories! It makes me very happy to see good or lost people getting second chances! I would only suggest putting a clear distinction between points of view to avoid confusion.

@Tony R - here is the 'traditional', for 'sexual' you'll have to consult explorer, not google translate! 😁

It might be one Monday, but it is a day full of life-changing decisions. On micro level they don't look so big but, looking at Julian's life, this Monday seems like Julian has decided to take the strings of his life in his own hands. That's what makes this story complex - it makes me think! 🙂

I love to see Quinn's growth (and I don't think about that one in his pants ). From immature and insecure kid, he becomes a manager and great partner to Orion both in bed and business. He learns all the time, has initiative, he's good in planning and executing. Quinn is not just a great guy, during this process, with love and support from Orion - he becomes a man!

Oh Jackie, what did you put yourself and your family into?! (if it is family to you anyway) As @Summerabbacat, I've noticed the arousal at DS Marcus. Marcus and Arthur should comfort Ludo! He needs 'deep' comfort! 😉

Just admit it - you want story with hot teenage blondie twinks brothers in 'sandwich'!

Very emotional and touchy. Thank you! On October 11 this year we have commemorated 15 years since my dad died. It was unexpected and fast. He died of heart attack. He was 57.

Very complex story, covering many levels. One level is growing up in family with toxic relations. Despotic father and indifferent mother. Family without love, just rules. Suffocating, small-town dynamics. Insecurities of the main protagonist due to his parents' behavior. Other Level is Julian's work and relationship with his boss and colleagues. He, shockingly, recognizes the prejudices he has toward his boss and finds a connection to his mother's behavior. Author approaches polyamory in this story very realistically. As in monogamy, love and good sex are not enough for one household to exists. There are many practical rules, logistics, decision making process to organize if they want this kind of relationship to work. There are a few words repeating during the story like a mantra - An open, honest communication... It's the key to success Julian has found - in communication with his mother, his boss and his partners...
