I have a feeling that there is lack of organization here. Actually, there is more improvisation than organization! I understand that there is bad weather, and Andrew doesn't have experience with these things but yet... He was supposed to be there. They left lady alone to welcome Matt. It happens that he was accompanied by a good guy, but how could they know that. There could be whole bunch of criminals. They are dealing with very dangerous world quite nonchalantly!

I think here is the problem of term rock opera. Except Tommy, most of other works are just rock or just opera...or, mainly, the musical! Actually, the closest term for Snowy's show is a jukebox musical (although extended version because it contains, not only popular songs but songs from other musicals too, plus dialogs). I didn't like Cats either, my favorite ALW's musical is Phantom. I don't know much about Australian music scene, but I remember young, cutie blond Jason Donovan sitting by the fire and singing 'Sealed with a Kiss' (I know, I know...not his song). Hypothetically yes, but very difficult for realization. Both Matt and Ahmat don't know that other is alive. Even if Matt decides to go and look for Ahmat, he has sentenced both of them to death. Matt to go on some secret mission and take Ahmat from his family (as long as he wants to leave his family at all) in Arabic world is not very much realistic. Maybe with financial and logistical help from Robert but I'm not sure they want to interfere so deep anymore. They already have enough headache from Andrew's unusual 'shopping'.

Kanaan showed some unusual mercy toward Ahmet. I don't know, was it a rare moment of empathy or cold-blooded calculation that Ahmet will live in fear of him wherever he is?

What I really like about this story is that, when they met and letters stopped, it wasn't like starting again, then slow burn in never-ending platonic relationship. As Kai have said - let's not pretend like we don't know each other. They kissed, they are getting closer, and sex talk becomes normal. It is matter of time when sex-doing will come!

There's a film Indecent Proposal with Robert Redford, Demi Moore, and Woody Harrelson in leading roles. The story is about a married couple of architects who put mortgage on their home and get in financial troubles. Unsuccessfully trying to win some money in Las Vegas, they meet a rich billionaire (plaid by Redford) who offers to pay off their mortgage for spending night with wife (plaid by Demi Moore) ... Who wants the rest of the story can watch this, not very artistic, movie...anyway, this situation reminds me a bit of Dante and Vaughan. They are so close to the moment to be blackmailed by Mr. H. The problem is, whatever they do, there is going to be consequences. What price are they ready to pay? Maybe they should learn something out of Greg's experience with dirty Donald!

Very good observation. Made me think that Roger is also haunted by ghosts of past. He doesn't know that no matter how far he goes, these ghosts go with him because they are in his head! For his own good, it would be good for Roger to make some truce with Phil, not to wait as his father to watch him as a ghost from the past at hospital window one day.

Kevin becoming a regular member of the band and potential lead singer is great development. I haven't expected that past will chase him down, but it's good now that he is not alone anymore, he has support.

My favorite chapter till now! It is not just Phil's body that is slowly rehabilitated, it is his soul too. The conversation between Phil and Gary is touching. It is never too late for love, even when physical manifestation of it cannot be as passionate as their younger friends have. Phil has a goal, and reason to live now. There is no better medicine in his age than making plans for the future, embracing life, receiving in it some new people and some people from the past. When Roger said (Phil's memories of his son in previous chapter) 'goodby pops' on their last encounter, I've been thinking there is some chance for them. But now, when all this hate is relieved, I have to sadly admit that relationship with his son is ship that sailed away long time ago. There is hope that new generations, Allen and his son will be more open-minded regarding reunion with Phil.

Impulse buying! Andrew didn't think much of legality of his deed, his first thought was to save Matt. Later on, he did the only smart think he could do - called the dad! This chapter shows little parts of humanity still existing in Dante. His longing for a 'normal' life and helping Matt have touched my heart. I've been surprised by two years jump, but it nicely changed dynamics of the story. Beautiful chapter @Mikiesboy.
