  5. @centexhairysub yup ... just what I've said in the story (somewhere --- lol --- just can't recall if it's already been said or if it's in an upcoming chapter) !!!
  6. @Summerabbacat @weinerdog I do have something in mind ... but it's not what you are thinking! LOL
  7. @weinerdog it was just the other day I saw a news report about one escaping and being seen hopping through a neighbourhood in Texas!
  8. I waited in the arrival lounge as Harry and the other passengers crossed the tarmac in the sunshine, walking towards the gate, then I had to wait a short while longer as the trolley with all the luggage was loaded and eventually wheeled into the building. By the time Harry had finally managed to retrieve his bag from the trolley I was waiting at the exit gate for him. We greeted each other warmly, as the old friends we were, and I took his bag from him to carry it to the truck, as we chatte
  9. Haha @Summerabbacat ... I have been called many things in my lifetime, but that is a first!!! 😉 But thank you! I am honoured! And as for The Three Bears, just remember what Kieran's nick-name is, as bestowed on him by grandma ... K-bear ... I wonder if there's a back story there? LOL
  10. The sound of my phone ringing jolted me awake, and as I opened my eyes in a dim room, with somebody beside me, it once again took me a few moments to realise exactly where I was. 'Are you going to get that?' I heard Charlie ask me, which quickly snapped me back to the present. 'Yeah. I guess I had better.' I heard him chuckle, but when I glanced his way he just grinned at me. Sitting up on the side of the bed I reached for my pants, in the pocket of which my phone was still ringin

  12. He is educating us all @Tris
  13. @Summerabbacat if always admired that kid ... and much more than his old man. Always reckoned they should have made a new Skippy series with him playing Sonny Hammond! lol

  15. @weinerdog oh, far too cliche, darling! 😉
  16. When the evening was all but over, the guys thanked me for the meal, insisting that it had been the best meal served from the kitchen since the renovations had been completed. I somehow doubted that was the case, but all the same I was glad they had enjoyed the meal. After we had finished eating we sat there talking and drinking coffee, but when I made a move to pack up the empty plates they were quickly taken from my hands, with Luke and Guy insisting that they would handle the cleanup and
  17. @Ivor Slipper one way or another! lol
  18. For the next hour I typed away feverishly, working on a synopsis for the story and getting down as much additional detail as I could. I had, of course, already written a number of paragraphs, scenes and sections, which could easily be incorporated into the story at the appropriate point, and these would also be used as something of a selling point when I pitched the idea to Harry tomorrow. The other thing I needed to write, however, was a decent opening chapter, so once I had the outline co
  19. Something for their next dinner party perhaps @Ivor Slipper ?
  20. It's all good. We all have our moments! 😉
  21. I was thinking more about how I resolved it moving forward! 🙂
  22. @Summerabbacat I might have to refresh my own memory first, to see just how I handled it! 😉
  23. @weinerdog @Al Norris @Paqman just so you know, I have just started the re-editing process for Mardi Gras Murders, so it can be posted here also. I have a couple of other stories that will be posted here before MGM, but it is in the works. I would also like to publish it in book form, but we'll just have to how that goes! 😉
  24. After I left the book store it didn’t take me long to locate everything that I needed for the dinner I was planning. The supermarket had most of what I was after, and I would have bought the fish from there as well, except that I found a great fresh seafood shop right outside the entrance and they had by far the freshest looking fish and prawns. I guess that was one of the many benefits to living in a coastal city. The menu I was thinking of was an entree of Cajun King Prawn Skewers, s
  25. Oh, no @Summerabbacat there are plenty of idiots in the country as well! haha
