  1. It didn’t take us long to find some shorts, t-shirts and towels and start to make our way through the scrub to the beach. I had told Harry to pack some swimming gear, just in case, and when he emerged from his room wearing a pair of blue and pink boardies and a white t-shirt I breathed a sigh of relief. Somehow, I had imagined he would be a Speedos kind of guy, so I was grateful that, on this occasion at least, I was proved wrong. I couldn’t help but smile to myself as I led the way towards
  2. Wow! Thank you all for your very thoughtful comments! Plenty of food for thought there! A lot of water will pass under the bridge between now and when the next story in the series will be completed (yes, it sort of, kind of, has been started! LOL), and while I appreciate all of your ideas, I do have some ideas of my own as to the direction this part of the story line is going to take. I can tell you this much . . . the safe house won't be in Thompsonville. I'm thinking that Macquarie Harbour is the more likely target, being a small country city with more facilities. Also, as big as Tony's heart may be, he and Aaron will want - and need - their own space, and not have a bunch of teens under their feet. At least Mac Hrbr will still be close enough for them to be hands on with the various programs. Anyhow, that's all for another story! We've got to find out how this one is going to end up first, haven't we? Thank you all so much for your support! As I've said before, it truly does mean a lot to me! ❤️
  3. @pvtguy I'm pleased that you picked up on how Harry feels about Tony. 🙂
  4. ‘All good?’ Harry asked, once I had disconnected. ‘Yeah, he’s on his way,’ I replied, to which he gave a nod. Just then our waitress came to our table carrying a basket containing the garlic bread I had ordered. ‘Someone else is going to be joining us,’ I said to her, before she had the chance to leave us. ‘Would it be possible to add another meal to our order please?’ ‘Certainly. Would you like to see a menu again?’ ‘No, that’s okay. He only asked for a salad, or someth
  5. No, that was the scones. But they also need jam!
  6. Show and tell at the CWA! Could be a story in that! lol
  7. What? Mot mum? Our reserved, church going, housewife and member of the CWA? Surely not? LMFAO
  8. @Summerabbacat you don't have to worry too much about Harry . . . he's a good guy, really he is!
  9. @centexhairysub yup ... just what I've said in the story (somewhere --- lol --- just can't recall if it's already been said or if it's in an upcoming chapter) !!!
  10. @Summerabbacat @weinerdog I do have something in mind ... but it's not what you are thinking! LOL
  11. @weinerdog it was just the other day I saw a news report about one escaping and being seen hopping through a neighbourhood in Texas!
  12. I waited in the arrival lounge as Harry and the other passengers crossed the tarmac in the sunshine, walking towards the gate, then I had to wait a short while longer as the trolley with all the luggage was loaded and eventually wheeled into the building. By the time Harry had finally managed to retrieve his bag from the trolley I was waiting at the exit gate for him. We greeted each other warmly, as the old friends we were, and I took his bag from him to carry it to the truck, as we chatte
  13. Haha @Summerabbacat ... I have been called many things in my lifetime, but that is a first!!! 😉 But thank you! I am honoured! And as for The Three Bears, just remember what Kieran's nick-name is, as bestowed on him by grandma ... K-bear ... I wonder if there's a back story there? LOL
  14. The sound of my phone ringing jolted me awake, and as I opened my eyes in a dim room, with somebody beside me, it once again took me a few moments to realise exactly where I was. 'Are you going to get that?' I heard Charlie ask me, which quickly snapped me back to the present. 'Yeah. I guess I had better.' I heard him chuckle, but when I glanced his way he just grinned at me. Sitting up on the side of the bed I reached for my pants, in the pocket of which my phone was still ringin
  15. @weinerdog she-ite! Now I'll have to think up something different!!!!!
  16. He is educating us all @Tris
  17. @Summerabbacat if always admired that kid ... and much more than his old man. Always reckoned they should have made a new Skippy series with him playing Sonny Hammond! lol
  18. @Summerabbacat yeah ... don't tread on her while barefoot! lol
  19. @weinerdog oh, far too cliche, darling! 😉
  20. When the evening was all but over, the guys thanked me for the meal, insisting that it had been the best meal served from the kitchen since the renovations had been completed. I somehow doubted that was the case, but all the same I was glad they had enjoyed the meal. After we had finished eating we sat there talking and drinking coffee, but when I made a move to pack up the empty plates they were quickly taken from my hands, with Luke and Guy insisting that they would handle the cleanup and
  21. @Ivor Slipper one way or another! lol
  22. For the next hour I typed away feverishly, working on a synopsis for the story and getting down as much additional detail as I could. I had, of course, already written a number of paragraphs, scenes and sections, which could easily be incorporated into the story at the appropriate point, and these would also be used as something of a selling point when I pitched the idea to Harry tomorrow. The other thing I needed to write, however, was a decent opening chapter, so once I had the outline co
  23. Something for their next dinner party perhaps @Ivor Slipper ?
  24. It's all good. We all have our moments! 😉
  25. I was thinking more about how I resolved it moving forward! 🙂
