‘Cásate conmigo’ (Marry Me)
Mark Ponyboy Peters commented on Mark Ponyboy Peters's story chapter in ‘Cásate conmigo’ (Marry Me)
Thank you @Summerabbacat for your very kind words. ❤️ I guess I had better go check out the Gunston / Effie version now! 😉 Hmmmm... maybe I should also give the romance genre a try. I could always do with a source of income that I could retire on, though I suspect my writings could be a little too kinky for that world! LOL You better stock up on the Kleenex for the last couple of chapters..... -

@weinerdog @centexhairysub agreed, the parents may have something to say, with the announcement that is going to be a wedding thrown at them in the last minute, but they won't be too upset As for the question about Raffa riding a motorcycle again, they agreed previously that he wouldn't, with Gray now being his chauffer! Things are working out for our boys ❤️ -
The de Silva home was located on the south side of town, in a suburban subdivision that had been established sometime in the nineteen-seventies. There were some very old homes scattered around, including a massive, old, brick mansion set amongst Golden Pines, which had once been an orphanage, though most of the other older homes were remnants of what had once been a farming area. For the most part the remaining homes in the area now were built in the seventies and eighties, in all manner of shap

@Summerabbacat I did try to tell you that you were going to need some more tissues. You better slip down to Aldi in the morning for some more, before we get to the ending! That paragraph about Olly crying himself to sleep after seeing Raffa was new ... it wasn't actually in the original version of this story, but I felt it was needed. After all, Gray did promise Olly that he would take him to see Raffa when he could do so! Animal got what he had coming to him ... but it probably wasn't enough. There's always hope that Bubba wants to keep him inside at Petersenville Prison and won't let him out alive. I'm thinking about writing up some authors notes and tacking them on the end of the story to share a few of the facts about where and how it originated. Some folks have asked questions, and I think that sharing some of the background may be kind of therapeutic . . . at least for me. That was kind of the reason I started writing it . . . even if the end result wasn't exactly the story I started out writing. Thank you for all your support. I think you need to stick around for about 3 more chapters -

Thank you @akascrubber. At one point this was where I had intended to end this story, but then I realised there was more story that needed to be told ... so you might be pleased to hear that there are a few more chapters to go yet!!!- 13 comments

There is nothing easy about getting over traumatic injuries, as anyone who has ever experienced or witnessed such an event will tell you. At some point in our lives almost everyone will have to live through such an event, whether being involved personally, or maybe even having a family member or friend go through the recovery process. First off, there are the injuries that may occur, which in many cases may resolve themselves, given time and appropriate treatment. But of course, there are a

Hmmm ... not bad ... but I'm kind of thinking something along these lines for such a tender moment ... Oh, and as for the chapter titles ... I just kind of thought adding them for these last chapters was a nice touch, and fitting with the Spanish influence that's all. And Raffa's eyes are emerald-green ... it says so near the end of Chapter 33

But they didn't have one ... Raffa was in a single bed room in ICU 😉

Later that night, well after Olly and I had both gone to bed, I had needed to use the bathroom, so I got up and went out into the hallway, when I overheard my parents talking in the lounge room. Listening for a few moments I learned that my father had apparently had an appointment with a psychologist today. Wow! They'd certainly kept that quiet. Initially I thought that with so much happening, maybe my folks didn't want to burden us with anything else, but the more I thought about it t

Thank you, guys for all your comments! @weinerdog Good samaritans have often found themselves in trouble in Australia, but usually the public outcry is enough to ensure that their punishment is minimal. We aren't quite as bad as the U.S. I don't think ... at least for now! @Stompingrigs I just wished I had a brother with whom I could share such things. I had a slightly older cousin, who was a tormenting, arrogant, pain in the arse. Then I had two curious slightly younger cousins who came to me. We had some fun together, but above all I also wanted to make sure they knew what it was all about and that they had no fear or shame about what was happening to them as they went through puberty. @pvtguy He might not be a main character, but I agree, Olly is still a star in this story! His naivety and curiosity offer some comic relief, but he's also there for another reason ... to show that growing up and discovering yourself needn't be a thing to be shameful about. It's a natural process and there is no need to treat it as anything but that. The fact that hilarity can sometimes ensue just gives the story some lighter moments, along with the good old "what next" scenarios! @Summerabbacat Oh, yes, I suspect that the shower scene will be one that Grayson and Oliver will revisit often in the future! @centexhairysub Yes, Olly definitely got a shock, despite his recent curiosity about 'sex stuff', which -- as we will learn in his story atsome point -- has started in the school yard . . . but more on that later! And yes, ten is certainly old enough for some. I appreciate all your feedback and hope you continue to enjoy the story as we draw ever closer to its conclusion!

In the days that followed I spent as much time as I could at the hospital, just sitting with Raffa and talking about whatever came to mind. At times I would call Hoppy or Chase and we would all have a conversation, hoping to keep Raffa up on all the goings on in the lives of our friends, as a way of trying to stop him from falling into a deep black hole. Chase also came and visited a couple of times, which brightened all our lives. Seeing Raffa lying there day after day was a struggle, but

My phone was running hot, but I wasn't answering it. I just left it on the seat of my car and listened to it ring, over and over again, as I sat on the bonnet and watched the lights of our town twinkle below me from where I was parked at the lookout. Raffa's words had left me gutted. There was no denying that. I know he was hurting, but . . . fuck it . . . didn't we love each other? Didn't we tell each other we were stuck with the other? Didn't that mean something? After hearing those

Standing at the door to the ICU I felt like a little boy who had just lost his teddy bear. I had no idea what to do, what to say, or who to turn to. A nurse walked past, glanced my way and then stopped. She must have noticed the little boy lost look that would have been on my face, and she came to me. 'You're looking for Rafael?' she asked. 'Errr . . . yeah. What's happened? Where is he?' I pleaded, my voice sounding strained. 'There's no need to panic. He's just been taken d

That night was a quiet one in our house. Mum didn't say very much about what had happened at the hospital when we had spoken with the police, but I could hear my parents talking later that night in their bedroom when I had gotten out of bed to use the bathroom, and although I couldn't hear what they were saying I suspected that I knew exactly what they were talking about. The following morning I woke to the sound of a knock on my bedroom door, followed by it being opened. Thinking it might

Yes, Mike WAS in the room when Gray said stop. Gray was just trying to help Mike and take any suspicion off him by saying he was out of the room.

It was almost twelve by the time I made it to the hospital, where I found Raffa's family, his parents and Leandro, all waiting. Leandro and I bumped fists like old friends, while I received hugs from both of Raffa's parents. 'Has there been any more news?' I asked, half hopeful. 'Nothing yet,' Antonio replied. 'They've told us that they have him strapped into some sort of brace, to help minimise the chances of him moving and further damaging his spine, but apart from that everythi

It's the waiting that gets to you. Endless hours of worry. Endless hours of not knowing. And even when they say things might be straight forward, there's always that chance of something else going wrong. And what if something does go wrong? How would I be able to live with myself? How would I be able to live without my newfound soulmate; the one person in this world whose very being now consumes my every thought? When it was suggested that I should maybe go home and get some rest I sho

I thought I was dreaming. In fact, I thought it was a nightmare. But then lights and sounds began to creep back into my consciousness, turning my nightmare into reality, and I found myself right in the middle of a scene from which I thought I had just escaped. From where I sat on a public bench on the footpath, I looked out at a street bathed in the blue and red flashing lights of several police cars, while darkness was gradually falling. There were also several police officers standing aro
