We left the garage empty-handed, as it quickly became obvious that our visitor had nowhere in there where he could hide. That meant that the next most likely target was the adjacent cottage, or whatever other cubbyholes may be nearby. ‘He sure has an advantage over us,’ Luke said as we followed the path towards the cottage. ‘He’s already had a chance to explore the place.’ ‘Yeah, I agree. But surely there can’t be too many places where a kid can hide out around here,’ I replied. ‘

Once we all got moving, the walk was quite a pleasant one, with even the grumbling parents seemingly enjoying themselves. Our little troupe quickly strung out, with some really stepping out and powering along, while others chose to take it more easily. Aaron and I fell into the latter category, as did Mike and Carol, and Jess and Kellie. We chatted as if the years that had come between me and my siblings had never existed, and we caught up on a lot of what we had missed out on. Aaron joined

My Closet Had Better Lighting Than My Future
Mark Ponyboy Peters commented on Jeff Burton's story chapter in My Closet Had Better Lighting Than My Future
So, I have to admit that it took me a little while to get into this . . . but damn! I need more! lol -
‘And just where the hell did you guys get to last night?’ Matt enquired as soon as he and Luke sat down alongside us by the fire. ‘We missed you.’ Aaron and I exchanged glances. I think we were both wondering just what, or how much, we should tell them? ‘The beach,’ I simply replied. ‘Then we watched the fireworks from the picnic area on the town trail, on the ridge just below the lighthouse.’ ‘Yeah, it was a fantastic show,’ Aaron added. ‘They had it all set up on these barges ou

Thank you @Summerabbacat. I totally agree about Hot Chocolate ... most underrated! Had to chuckle about the reference to Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick ... I haven't heard that in a while! I'm thinking Tony just wants to say to Aaron, Come on Baby, Jump in my Car though! They are Aussies after all! OMG .. the RIPPER albums! I remember them well! https://funkyduckvinyl.com/second-hand/rock/various-ripper-76-lp-g-vg/?srsltid=AfmBOopqx2yjHfrlNi9IyIFWC3Sqv_DfAa0JGvruk96qiOnwDCl4YmZh

I have heard it said that you never forget your first, and after making love to Charlie that first time I knew that it was most definitely true. That look on his face as I unloaded in him for the very first time will be something that I know will live with me forever. When we lay down on his bed with his hips raised up on pillows and I removed Mama Bear, before entering Charlie that morning and taking his virginity, I took it easy on him to begin with. After a little more prep I slowly push

Featured Story: Stockroom Secrets by Mark Ponyboy Peters
Mark Ponyboy Peters commented on wildone's blog entry in Gay Authors News
@wildone @chris191070 thank you for the plug! 😁 -
When the show had finished an eerie silence seemed to follow, though as we watched the clouds of smoke from the fireworks slowly drift away on the warm breeze, the silence was gradually replaced by the sounds we were familiar with; the sounds of waves crashing against rocks below the lighthouse, the sounds of traffic as the party goers began to make their way home, and the sounds of our own heartbeats as I continued to hold Aaron firmly in my arms. I was leaning back against a tree, with Aa

@Philippe I feel almost confident that @Summerabbacat would be the leatherman 😉

From the moment that Matt and Luke finished their song the whole atmosphere of the night changed, which, I have to say, really surprised me. Spirits were lifted and the previously rather reserved crowd began to let their hair down a little. ‘Okay then, who’s next?’ Matt called out, while offering the microphone to anyone who was brave enough to have a go. In the end the baton was passed to two of their old friends, Dwayne and DJ, who reluctantly stepped up onto the stage, after conside

Mrs Hamilton’s desserts were triumphant, as always, with not a crumb being left of either her pavlova or lemon meringue pie, while a fair-sized dent was made in all of the others as well. I, of course, over-indulged and afterwards felt like wandering off to some place quiet to sleep it off. That wasn’t going to happen, however, as once the plates and dishes were cleared away someone decided to turn up the volume of the music and really bring the party to life. At Mike’s insistence I di

Following my little chat with Matt’s dad, Matt Snr, he wandered off in search of his wife, so I decided to do a little mingling amongst the guests, starting with those who were sitting closest to me, being Luke, Samantha, Mrs Hamilton and her two boys, Dan and Jake. I gave Mrs H. a hug and told her I was so glad she came. I’ve always had a soft spot for the lady, as she has always been so good to all of us. I remember Luke telling me years ago how, right from the time they first arrived her

I think I have the others too, somewhere in my tape collection. 80? Wow. But I guess that's about right. She was in the New Christy Minstrels with Kenny (still my all time favourite singer) ... and they worked magic with Don't Fall In Love With a Dreamer!

@Summerabbacat I actually have that album! lol

‘It’s great to see you again,’ Paul said. ‘And especially here, in Thompsonville.’ ‘Yeah, it’s great to see you also,’ I replied, before shifting my gaze to his companion, a rather bookish-looking, young man who wasn’t quite as tall as Paul, and was as pale-skinned and dark-haired as Paul was blond and tanned. ‘Oh, sorry. Excuse my manners, this is Damien,’ Paul offered. Damien and I shook hands, but he didn’t say much. I had the impression he may have been slightly overawed by the who

As it turned out, there was no possible way I could have realistically made a quick getaway once the completion of my duties had been carried out, even if I’d tried. After having been involved in the way I had been, even I could see that it would have appeared quite rude to bail halfway through the proceedings, so I resumed my seat and sat there under the hot January sun for the remaining presentations. The next award to be presented was a special bravery award, which was handed to the youn

‘Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls,’ Rick Campbell began, ‘It gives me great pleasure to welcome you here today, to these wonderful celebrations which mark the founding of this great nation.’ He was already sounding like a typical politician, so I was already fearful of just what this was going to turn into. ‘It was on this day, in the Year of our Lord of 1788, and under the command of Captain Arthur Phillip, when the First Fleet arrived safely at Sydney Cove, after setting out from

@pickuptoy thank you so much for your very kind words. There is another story after T'ville, which is "A Good Place" (posting on here currently), and there is another story in the works for this series ... though quite a way off being posted anywhere as yet, so stay tuned!

‘So, was that a friend of yours?’ Carol asked as I rejoined her. ‘Never seen him before in my life,’ I replied. ‘I saw him earlier, when we were doing the interview. He was watching us for a little while, but after we got started I didn’t take that much notice of him then.’ ‘I think he’s one of my lot,’ I offered, which received a questioning look. ‘He wanted to know if my story was true, and did I really get thrown out.’ ‘So, you think he’s gone through the same thing?’
