  1. Things are bound to get heavy. For now we should let the goat play. He's been spotted. Click here for details.
  2. I said as possible, Jamie. It's definitely not comparable to the way that man was murdered. Their living conditions are bad in some instances. There are more cattle on this planet than humans. With freedom to roam, there would be a lot more traffic accidents involving them. Cows don't breed quickly, but pigs certainly do, and their numbers could skyrocket if nobody ate them. Sure, they are intelligent creatures, but once they are in the wild, they turn wild within a few weeks, and it even causes mutations in the next generation. They usually docile creatures become extremely temperamental in the wild, and they produce a lot of offspring. Thus, I beg to differ on pigs.
  3. Jack, those are hilarious. By the way, I deleted the repeat post.
  4. Led Zeppelin "Kashmir" Oh let the sun beat down upon my face With stars to fill my dream. I am a traveler of both time and space To be where I have been. To sit with elders of a gentle race This world has seldom seen. They talk of days for which they sit and wait When all will be revealed. Talk an' song from tongues of lilting grace Whose sounds caress my ear. But not a word I heard could I relate The story was quite clear. Whoa-ohh-oh Whoa-ohhh-oh-oh Ooooh Oh baby, I've been flyin' Nooo-yeah Oh mama there Ain't no denyin' Oh! Ooooh-yes I've been flyin' Ma-ma-ma Ain't no denyin' No denyin'-uh Oh! All I see turns to brown As the sun burns the ground. And my eyes fill with sand As I scan this wasted land. Tryin' to find Tryin' to find Where I've been. Oh pilot of the storm who leaves no trace Like thoughts inside a dream Who hid the path that led me to that place Of yellow desert screen. My shangri-la beneath the summer moon I will return again. Sure as the dust that floats high in June When movin' through Kashmir. Oh father of the four winds, fill my sails 'Cross the sea of years (?) With no provision but an open face Along the straits of fear. (?) Whoa-oh ah-oh Whoa-ohhh oh Ohhh Whoa! When I'm on, When I'm on my way yeah! When I see, When I see the way You stayyyyy-yeah! Ooh-ooh yeah-yeah Ooh-ooh yeah-yeah When I'm downnn-yeah Ooh-ooh yeah-yeah Ooh-ooh yeah-yeah When I'm down, so down Ooh my baby Oooh my baby let me take you there Oh-oh Come on, come on Oh! Let me take you there Let me take you there Ooh yeah-yeah Ooh yeah-yeah...
  5. Apparently, the goat likes picking on Teletubbies.
  6. Today, I went with my mom once again to her gynecologist. It seems she has some kind of issue with her estrogen levels. It's not cancer or anything like that, so she will not have to have surgery. I'm happy about this, because I was so worried. Now I know she's going to be fine.
  7. That's egregious. Just because you choose to be a vegetarian who doesn't own fur coats doesn't give you a right to force your views upon others. Cannibalism is not the same as eating a hamburger. Does it involve killing? Of course it does. They make it as quick and painless as possible. Personally I think we're doing the world a favor at this point. Imagine all the wild bovines and pigs everywhere when they're free to roam everywhere. Their populations would be out of control within a few decades.
  8. I am looking forward to gymnastics. It's my favorite. Swimming and diving are nice too. I think it's the one time when the world seems to have a united cause. While we have representatives from our own country, it's exciting to see the talents of people from all over the world. I'll watch it tonight.
  9. Niels, you're still so damn cute.
  10. That sounds like a plan. I've never eaten goat, but I do want to try it.
  11. Well, there are often side-effects to long-term usage of SSRIs. However, I think she made a mistake in discontinuing the medication too soon. There are some people who are more susceptible to bouts of depression than others. It looks like we're in the same boat. I intend to stay on Wellbutrin for the foreseeable future. I don't want to have a relapse. It's my 3rd major depression in 10 years, and I don't want it to happen again. I hope you get better soon.
  12. Dion, this is actually the first psychologist I have had that I actually like. The rest were judgmental, and to me that does not make a good psychologist. They need to understand the needs of their clients. Otherwise it defeats the purpose of going to therapy. If the client is to reach a level where he or she is able to cope with depression and the stresses of life, being judgmental is not going to help. Making suggestions is good, but it's best to have the client have an active role in the treatment plan. That way a better way of treating the depression is established. You sometimes have to do a lot of searching to find a good counselor. I am lucky this time. I figured I would go ahead and give an update. The medication does seem to help, but there are still times when I feel depressed. However, those days are becoming less and less frequent. Thus, it is working. It may be a slow process, but I am recovering. For those of you who are depressed (and I know who some of you are) you really do need to find a medication that works for you and go to a psychologist to get to the source of the issue.
  13. Steve, as I recall he then decided to follow in his daddy's footsteps. Personally, I see that his slight redemption is just that. He was more of an anti-villain in my opinion.
  14. I'm always reading a C James serial as soon as a chapter is out. Thus, I am also reading Changing Lanes. I've also start Tiff's new series.
  15. I don't think they'd use jet fuel for that. In fact, they already use hydrogen. The problem is that there isn't a fuel efficient enough to make the entire trip to Saturn at this point in time. It's definitely unrealistic in the early 21st century. It may be by the end of the 21st century, but it's too soon to tell.
  16. That sounds like a plan. The caveman commercials are just as bad. They even created a TV show based upon it. I found myself thinking...
  17. I'm reading Do Over.
  18. It is one of life's greatest mysteries. I will say for the record... haha! That's preposterous! I might have mentioned it once or twice, but it wasn't over and over and over again. I don't know how many times you bugged him about it, because he didn't tell me, but judging by the PM earlier, I would say that he was pretty well overworked and didn't have much time.
  19. Well, I was thinking about some songs for GFD. It would need to be something like "Twisted Transistor" by Korn for fight scenes. For the chapters where they're at clubs or parties, I would have to say the remix of "Dragula" by Rob Zombie.
  20. I definitely like the Eric from LTMP and Changing Lanes much better than the spawn of Satan Eric from FTL. The newer Eric isn't a drug addict who likes to consort with the bad people. Both have a penchant for mischief. That seems to be the common theme with the two of them.

Take a little trip to the countryside. There are plenty of places in the wilderness to find solitude and quiet. The only sounds you will hear are the sounds of nature which are louder in some places than others. Find a quieter one and concentrate there. However, that is more of an option if you're using pen and paper. You could take a laptop if it has decent battery life. I know mine is several hours, though I have never truly tested it to the point where it's so close that it must be shut down or plugged back in.

    Benji

Benji should be back on 8-15.
  23. Krista is such a slave-driver. She practically worked you to the bone. I must say that you did a good job with it as usual.
  24. Thanks Tiff! "The Lurker" is definitely an interesting new article. There were definitely some interesting tidbits within. I look forward to more in the future. What new projects are in the works? That is a question on everyone's mind. As for the source, the world may never know.
