  1. I learn to hate "Keep Fishing" by Weezer (my alarm) just a bit more, push the dog off me who is inevitab;y chewing on my nose by now, and caffeinate myself as quickly as possible.
  2. Considering both the anonymity the internet providesfor all the closet cases out there (including myself), and the age limitations that would cut out a good chunk of your base (once again, myself included), I would have to say that it's not a good possibility.
  3. I've always preferred the night. It's always seemed so much more accomodating, and it's where the stresses of the day can't reach you. Everything is so ambient, I think someimes that if I don't go to sleep tomorrow will never come.
  4. Hmm... Happy Birthday, Jules!!! hmm.
  5. Most of the time if I have a chance, I'lll sit down and force myself to write, which doesn't make for the best material. Once in a blue moon, however, I'll have a momnet of such utter inspiration that It'll set off a writing binge.
  6. I hate arriving home drunk at 3 in the morning only to have a huge fight with your mother when you have a bus to catch at 9:30 in the morning. (Just as a parenthsis, I'm talking about a half an hour ago).
  7. I can't WAIT until that's a good thing
  8. I hve to prepare for the gulag marathon of essays that is AP World History. I love history though and the teacher's fabulous. I'll also have **gag** biology (the sciences are my weakness). I recently got my schedule in the mail, and I'll have a lot of free periods and Art Studio II and Honors English, sounds good overall.
  9. I have the exact same problem. Try writing the bits and pieces you've already thought out non-sequentially as they occur to you. Then rearrange those and fill in holes. It works at the beginning to launch you off. Otherwise, try just putting down little notes for yourself, for me those often turn into complex charts.
  10. I was just saying I would be way to squeamish, sorry if I came off a bit harsh. I guess a ladder down there is pretty original, so enjoy your "stairway to heaven".
  11. A ladder? Going where? I could never do that myself, did you f**k a stapler or something? But I'd agree with an eyebrow ring. I think they're so sexy for some reason.
  12. They just can't help themselves, can they? I'd exoect this of Germany, but what scares me is the precedent they're setting for the rest of the world. On the bright side, I suppose this could be used to keep track of hate crimes.
  13. Nights Eternal 10 was amazing, of course, but just so you know there is an additional part posted in the voy forums.
  14. I'd be more surprised if you were an only child.
  15. I have recently developed a liking for the Raveonettes, the Von Bondies, the Kills, Interpol, the Strokes, the Hives, le Tigre, Louis XIV, Peaches, and the Thinking XXX Soundtrack
  16. By age 13 I knew I was gay (though there remains a certain amount of denial in my mind as to what this means for my life). I had been trying to work up the courage to come out to a friend of mine who I knew wouldn;t care for the longest time. Finally, it was after a party and she was drunk of her ass and semi-conscious, so I figured it was the perfect time (why not?). Anyway, after that I felt better about it and it was so liberating that I've been coming out little by little to friends and people I've just met (mostly sober ones). This summer I hope to get a few more in.
  17. I entertained the notion of an eyebrow piercing for about two days, for some reason I find them stragely appealing. In the end I decided against it though, don't want to mess with the eye region.
  18. Okay, so I heard about MTV's new gay channel, Logo, and lo and behold, I recently discovered that I get it now. They have Graham Norton on now, which I could only see in th estates during its brief stint on Comedy Central before, so that thrills me. I also saw some ads for the shows they have on. Mostly gay themed movies and whatnot, as well as a gay travel show that visits major cities' gay scenes, which looks interesting, and some show like Queer Eye except without any straight people. So, does anybody else have any thoughts on our new media representation?
  19. My dad has an old green iMac he calls the "Green Machine" and so ends Reaper's Non-Sequitir
  20. I'm sure it'll make Page Six
  21. okay, here goes... 3 pairs of dress shoes (1 black, 1 brown, and one on sale at Barneys so don't judge me!) 4 pairs of sneakers (but only 1 pair of high tops! Impressive if you know my friends) 1 pair of shitty flip flops (I need new ones) 1 pair of hiking boots. Thank god you didn't ask about belts.
  22. us 'colonials' have you in our hearts.
  23. Happy Birthday
  24. I went through a Historical Non-Fiction phase a while back that was enjoyable (The Last Alchemist, 1968, and Devil in the White City). As far as periodicals, I live for the NY Times and obscure fashion/culture magazines (Dazed & Confused, Look-Look, and Paper) as well as New York, my almanac. And as far as currently, I have a lot of summer work for history for which I just finished the Bookseller of Kabul (very, very good book), I only hope the ensuing essay will be as enjoyable. My second book for that course will be something else on Christian/Islam relations.
  25. Having just recently begun summer myyself, I understand what a relief this must be, but even more so for you. Anyway, fare thee well, Com, you've touched us all and made some of us touch ourselves
