    Memory of a Kiss

Corbin can be such a dipshit, but he has some really endearing qualities. I especially like how he can get kicked in the balls, take the hit, and bounce back. And that he's relentless. :-)
  2. I hope you didn't think I was piling on, so happy to find that you were wrong, which is a rarity. My real motive in posting that quote was actually just to add that follow up information. I'd just finished scanning those latter chapters of 9.11, and I recalled that scene.
  3. You make a really good point, and bring some clarification of Will's initial mindset. That being said, with a little bit of coaching, Will ended up being supportive of Zach, and I think that gets him some kudos for moving beyond that adolescent boy mode.

    Chapter 10

An interesting guess! Thanks for the review!

    Chapter 28

Thanks for the review, Maarten! I hope your umpiring went well. I'm glad you liked the part about the Hayes family. It was funny, because I've had that in my mind as the way they worked, but I'd never really spelled it out. Made sense to do it now. I am a little concerned, though. Didn't you find anything in the chapter to get pissed at Will about? ;-)

    Resignation

I think of all the times you held my hand (metaphorically, unfortunately) when I was first promoted, and all the times you posted chapters for me or helped me get through the tangled web that was our old software package. I often talk about how awesome my team is, but you were the secret member in the corner, the closet member, who made so much happen for me. I am truly grateful for all your work, and even more than that, for the pleasant and charming person that you are. There are times when we have to move on to more important, or different things in life. I'm sad to see you uninvolve yourself here, but I totally understand why you're doing it. Best of luck, my friend.
  7. How will this impact the area surrounding USC? It's always been a bit tawdry (understatement). I always found it incredibly ironic that the public university (UCLA) was in tony Westwood, while the ridiculously expensive private university (USC) was in the 'hood.
  8. I think this comment from Zach, in Chapter 63 of 9.11, reveals the real reason he went to New Jersey:

    Chapter 28

Thanks. I agree with you. I think Zach needs to find that spot where he can get a handle on how to express himself differently with different (gay vs. straight) guys. I think he's almost there, but he could use some refinement.

    Chapter 10

Thanks Bob. I try really hard with the historical details, and I get a lot of help from my team on them as well. It sounds like you're pretty complacent about this cliffhanger...which may not be a bad thing...depending on which cliffhanger you're referring to.

    Chapter 10

I think George is acting externally in a very typical way, but internally he is reeling. The loneliness is very real to him. He has no one there that he is close to (and intimate with). That's rough.

    Chapter 10

I'm glad you liked it! Thanks!

    Who's Alfred?

    Chapter 10

No problem, Jim, and you're right. The issue with Caroline is a smoldering time bomb.

    Chapter 10

Well, I did warn you guys in the forum, but I'm doing my best to get the next chapter done.

    Chapter 10

Thanks Ricky. Try ZigZags next time. They work better. :-) I'll cast some light on the whole party in the next chapter.

    Chapter 28

Thanks! I think assholishness is better than sleuthiness. ;-)
  18. Mark Arbour

    Chapter 28

I like having Tony out there so I can bring him back and annoy everyone. ;-)

    Chapter 28

This party is less dramatic, but it's also not over. ;-) This story has some pretty intense drama, but it's also got some smooth patches. Enjoy the smooth patch.

    Chapter 28

That's a good point, in that Zach has to be careful. I think that it's not a problem for friendly flirting, but anything that remotely seems serious is problematic. Bumps start in a few chapters. ;-)

    Chapter 28

Tony and Wade...hmm. At this point, there's really no reason for it not to happen, and I think that they would be very sexually compatible, but I can't see Wade going there. I think Tony would fuck Wade in a heartbeat, but not Wade.

    Chapter 28

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed the part about how the Hayes family functions. I realized that during all these stories, I'd never really delineated that, but it's important.

    Chapter 28

You're right: Brad's at a place to finally start dating again. I think that Will's comment to Brad and Wade in the limo, when he told them that the rollercoaster ride wasn't always Robbie or Matt, was also reasonable. I think Brad needs someone who doesn't fuel his insecurities.

    Chapter 28

Well, the boys are already rich, so the Google stock will just make them richer. Thanks!

    Chapter 28

July 12, 2002 Escorial Brad JP, Stef, Frank and I ate breakfast, pondering the unpleasant situation Zach, Wally, and Clara were in. I should have had sympathy for Wally and Clara, because I’d been in this spot with Will when he filed for emancipation, but I was having a hard time with it. My general feeling toward them was that they were nice people, but pretty unsophisticated. I thought about how far Gathan had moved out of their orbit. He was so much more culture
