Take my advice, try to see if you qualify for a student plan. Technology and capacity were badly planned from ACA implementation. Unless you're in mass, in which case I have few workarounds for you. Edit: typos

After some rest and some evil plotting from me with my new story ....I feel a little less angry, but it is still there. My grandma's problems have not ended, my feeling of betrayal has not subsided, and my anger directed towards the Tea Party movement will probably not diminish. Honestly, I don't know where I am in terms of my life or politics. I hate what the Tea Party movement has done to my party; I warned as many people back in 2010 that it's a mistake, but few people listened to me. Even 3 years later, the handful of more "senior" leaders that were kicked out, who I knew, have only started seeing my point. I resigned in protest, but it doesn't change what people believe or want to believe. Out of anger, I've heard friends, both liberal and conservative, speak about how nice would it be to send in police to arrest these people. If their supporters rally, send in national gaurd to suppress them. If their state governors try to secede, order airborne and marine forces to occupy their state capitals..... I know all that is wrong; it is not Democratic, not Republican, and surely not American. I am a conservative, A REAL CONSERVATIVE. I will tout the values of Republican government, but I know what I desire is ORDER. . One of the reasons I am an Accountant instead of a Financial analyst or I-Banker, I want to see the world organized and orderly. I want to give everyone choices, but it cannot break feasibility or possibility. In that way, I am a REALIST Perhaps, the hard part is that in America today, there are few people like me anymore, who hold the standard. I am a dying breed of Rational, orderly, and principled.. Where are we going.... I don't know. I wish there were more people out there willing to take up the good fight for reason and principles, but they no long have power or have chosen to stay away like me. If the Debt Ceiling increase does not pass, Wall Street and Business leaders may waver. My hope now is for a true third party, because at this moment, I can't bring myself to vote Republican in New Hampshire (Massachusetts is too solidly Democrat to make a difference, another issue in gerrymandering district).

What's in it for me? Salvation, Ascension, an end to suffering, or an orgy A sales pitch has to be good or else no one will buy your product or service. It has to have some sex appeal (a certain "V" word appears a lot in different religions for a good reason), a catchy tune (Music is common for everyone, just please no elevator music), and some famous looks (Beard, bald, a business suit, or a pitchfork...I mean trident ). If you can do all that and make me smile, I say, "I will think about it."

Drug addiction is more than one user, one dealer, and one government. It is a part of the user's family, part of the dealers livelihood, and part of the global trade networks. A drug user with an addiction affects family members, who want to help out of care or are harmed in the wake of their drug use, i.e. behaviors that drug addiction creates. A drug dealer has to make a living, some are single parents without a job and they can only survive with drug ddealing (No, I am not referencing Weeds ), The real deal behind poverty driving drug culture is true; if you do not have enough jobs or social institutions, what is there for people stuck in between? Finally, trade is an ugly two edged sword. The Opium wars during the 19th Century, created by Great Britain, were examples where trade policy made it necessary to maintain illegal trade of drugs from other nations. Even if the US legalizes, we will merely turn into a buffer state, Canadians and Europeans will start using our drugs. The War on Drugs cannot be won with force of arms, but it needs to be solved within international agreements, better domestic policies, and an individual's resolve.

Case 1: Draining Internal Energies- Chapter 1 (Sid’s Excerpt from Book of Fate) I hate running late for new assignments, especially, when I am being placed in an office in Washington. Beltway traffic is the primary reason why I am late, but I can’t tell them that the Baltimore office was a much easier commute, plus I loved my team. After the “mint candy” serial killer was caught, I thought maybe they’d give me a commendation, not a transfer. I’m only 27, two years out of

Okay, I should first announce that my new story's 1st chapter is going live tonight. It's definitely a love child of passion, interest, and even a bit of comedy I could not have done this without Kitt's help in editing. https://www.gayauthors.org/story/w-l/Causality/2 That's the Pro of my day, next comes all the Cons: Son of Bitch! is all I can say about my grandmother's housing administrator. An 85 year old woman is likely to be evicted from her home in the next two weeks, because she failed to provide her paperwork on time. My mother brought my paternal grandmother to SSA primary office in Boston and they said that they cannot issue any "official" documents due to the shutdown. They were willing to attempt to call the administrator and work something out, but the bastard refused, because he needed to have official documentation. I've never opposed Section 8 housing for Seniors, I might not agree with the practice for everyone under the sun, but I get why Seniors have to go that route. There's something Republicans of the Tea Party don't understand and probably will not get until they get to about 80, when even the strongest 401K will run out. It's also why I want to be able to have assisted Suicide for myself. Not a morbid concept, just a reality. Imagine this, you saved throughout your life what money you can. You retire at 62 with some savings and a small Social Security benefit package. You live pretty comfortable until you are 80. 18 years without a job, living off savings and government benefits is not what people planned for in retirement concepts. People like my grandmother never planned to live to 85, but she has. she does not wish for handouts, but she can't deny it either. I make a decent salary, but I also have college loans to worry about. My dad has his mortgage to worry about. We're the average American family, so how can we support an 85 year old woman on top of all that. COMMON SENSE, we can't get documents for her, our means of support are limited by our obligations, and the federal government is shutdown. I will be contacting Massachusetts Elder Affairs Department tomorrow and hope I can use the State to force the Housing Administrator to give us more time, but if he won't listen to a Social Security Administration Employee, who would he listen to. I am beyond pissed, I am beyond angry... Here's another thing that got me off, a TEA PARTY member wrote to me, "We're trying to help the elderly by fighting Obamacare". My three responses to that: First, FUCK YOU ! Second FUCK YOU ! And Third, FUCK YOU ! You got no clue as to why you hate Obamacare and you think you can tell me that this is for the Elderly. I have openly expressed my distaste for that law; I dislike the HIT mandate and its rules, being extremely draconian and insular. Obamacare does not unite Insurers, Doctors, and Patients together, it adds more work on the Doctors and Insurers, plus everyone else in the health care industry like me. We are maintaining separate systems that can never touch one another even if we have the same patients, same doctors, same Hospitals, and same Insurers, because the current rules of HIPAA maintain that we must separate the records and add several layers of "Security" to prevent "outside" access. Sure patients look at it like, we get a piece of paper every year that looks fancy. However, processing payments is a hassle and crazy complex on my side. The only care providers, who can integrate without delays in payments, are multi-billion dollar Insurance Hospital Networks, who do everything. Even with that, I would never argue for a shutdown. To Link the Shutdown of the government with Helping the Elderly is BULLSHIT !

Hope you don't have eighty-something grandparents @Ron: hope my explanations help

I've seen enough to make up my mind about this shit. Alright, most of the people around GA have only mentioned news stories or circumstantial issues with the government shutdown, let me give you all a real life experience, but first let me lay down three points: 1. I have never been a fan of the Tea Party. The members of the GA Soapbox and GA Right Forum can attest to this fact. 2. I am actually applauding President Obama's no negotiation stance. He is showing courage and leadership. If I were in his shoes, I'd never negotiate under duress. The United States has a formal policy, "We Don't Negotiate with Terrorists". You cannot demand concessions by threats against the United States or its peoples; I consider this an act of terror (Democrats won't say it to that extent, but I will call this act terrorism as a conscious non-PC Republican) 3. I also weep for Representative Peter King and other Northern Republicans, who cannot seem to get our house in order, so to speak. He has a direct way of speaking the truth that is refreshing and even if I do not agree with all his stances; he is true to his words, so I can commend that. Now on to the the situation: Yesterday, I found out that my paternal grandmother, an 85 year old with decent mobility, was going to be evicted by her senior housing administrator due to late filing of income verification. It was a mistake not to check with her housing office and depend on her to give us documentation to fill out. She has been going more and more senile for the last few years, but she appeared to have a handle over her own affairs and my family tried not to take over too much of her life. Since, my grandmother cannot seem to remember her English (She was a British Citizen of Burma back when it was still a colony and was educated. A lot of well-off Ethnic Chinese people migrated to British territories for business during the 1900's), I act as her proxy for government documents and other issues. Well, first, I tried to present the senior housing administrator with bank statements, but the asshole said that those cannot be used to substantiate income. He told me that I must go to the SSA , Social Security Administration, and get a formal letter from them showing her income. I told the man that I was not sure if the Social Security Administration would be open or not, plus did not know if the Shutdown would limit their services for income verification. He told me as a matter of fact, "You must provide me with a "government issued" income verification form". I called the SSA and they said that they could not provide me with an income verification document as they are currently unable to process those types of documents. I told them our situation and they said, my grandmother must go in person to the main office in Boston, but warned that they have limited hours due to the shutdown. I knew I couldn't go with her, so I ask if they had Chinese translators or any other administrative personnel, who could help her once the transportation drops her off. They told me the translators were furloughed and did not know the current situation with staffing there. This is fucked up, my elderly grandmother may lose her apartment, because some guys in Washington are trying to "raise a voice for the people". Breaking down the system is supposed to be Patriotic. I will answer that with "F" "U"1 Fucking BS, who are "the people" anyway that you represent, the American who has nothing better to do than go to rallies and tell you guys to breakdown government with NO PLAN TO END IT. That's not Conservatism, it's reactionary and it's populism or Mob rule. I've got my own job and my own responsibilities to hundreds of employees across the country. I have to answer to a lot of major clients with huge stakes. I don't like Obamacare either, but I know why I hate it, because I actually live with it, what the Fuck has the "Average American" needed to do? Buy Insurance! Oh Shit, let's start a whole Revolution! I had to go through three IT Audits, HIPAA evaluations, and URAC credentialing to keep our medical firm operational and profitable. Compared to that, the "Average American" has it easy. I might hate it, but I can live with the crap and so can my industry. The "Average American" is up in arms, threatening grassroot campaigns and primary challenges. Maybe I am not the "Average American", but I am what represents the largest part of America. I don't need this type of BS in my life and I should not need to worry about my own grandmother losing her home. If anyone find my blog offensive to your political beliefs, I can only say "Get a F*cking Life!"
-
This is bullshit, i'm gonna comment on my blog too later in detail. I am pissed off. Simply put, I've been trying to prevent my 85 years old grandma from getting evicted from senior housing, but can't get in touch with ssa to get a income verification.

He in my opinions should be remembered as one of the Greatest writer of the late 20th Century. In a way, he indirectly led me to GA I've been reading his books and watching those movies for years. Then, I came upon DK's Do Over series and I was hooked to GA. Things have changed over the years, but it was Tom Clancy writing style that DK held a piece of in hist original Do Over series that made me want to read GA stories and write for you guys now. R.I.P Tom Clancy

I thought they were burned, not banned Here's an interesting Chinese history lesson: Before the unification of China during the Qin Dynasty, there were 7 nations in what we know as China today, each with its own dialect, culture, and customs. The Qin state militarily conquers the other 6 countries and tried to establish its rule. However, Emperor Shi Huang Di couldn't easily integrate all these territories with so many languages, cultures, and customs. He infamously instituted a law to destroy all non-Qin writings, kill all scholars of foreign languages, and burn any visible sign of the existence of other nations in his empire. Hundreds of thousands of educated people were murdered and vast libraries of knowledge were lost. However, despite what he did, the locals taught their children secretly how to "speak" their native tongues and memorize their own histories and myths. There are also still tombs of ancient rulers in these nations that remained undisturbed, so at least some fragments of those civilizations remained. It's one reason why Chinese writing is unified in modern Calligraphy, but our languages remain diverse, at least for the moment.

Final List for Halooween Horror Theme Stories 2013
W_L posted a blog entry in Life is worth an entry
Alright Final List for the Event! 1. Curse- thebrinkoftime 2. Ghost- Thorn Wilde 3. Mad Scientist- Scotty94 4. Vampire- aditus 5. Slasher- joann414 6. Cemetery- Rustie 7. Zombie- WL 8. Demon- Sasha (The pup ) 9. Werewolves In case you forgot the description: Some details: No Limits on Word counts i.e. no limit to min or max, No limits on format, and no limits on technique..... Horror fiction began as experimental, unstructured, and range from poetry to epic novels. Mary Shelley's classic Frankenstein was created over a fireplace as part of a ghost story contest among writers of the day. I want to channel the spirits of Mary and Percey Shelley, Lord Byron, and John Polidori (The creator of Modern Vampire Fiction ), let's try to be creative with genres and break ground beyond what exists in current fiction. Deadline: Oct 31st, Closing this on September 30th, so topics are set in stone No editor necessary, but you can have one if you want Post to GA Stories with Tag "Horror Themes 2013" Limiting the subject to one Theme plot per author is different than how GA does Anthologies with a general subject. This event is far more subject drive. -

Name your favourite gay movie. What did you like best about it?
W_L replied to Yuki Winchestor's topic in The Lounge
I am getting more into the artistic side of gay movies and stories within stories: Soundless Wind chime Found the movie extremely touching, innovative, and a good culture shock between two gay guys from different backgrounds. -
Fine, I won't designate it as "Europe" Especially, since Germany is going to lose its copyright protection in 2016 and a republication is coming of that book and its sequel (Yes, he did write a sequel called, Zweites Buch). However, going away from that book or politics, there's tons of other books with sensitive issues: My current favorite reading on the side: Earth's Children series Simple, more adult oriented, and slightly more racy than the average disney story about early humans

Here's my take on the US situation: Something has to give in the US: It's political in-fighting every night. Come on, as a society, this type of stuff has to be settled once and for all. If a government shutdown occurs, then the US defaults, let's see what happens: "If" the prediction of doom and gloom are over-dramatized by political pundits and news reporters, then we know that not all government operations are necessary, nor is our business relations dependent on a Federal government. Liberal notions of supporting the downtrodden with programs and laws will slowly diminish in strength and importance, (Labor unions are a dying practice in the US nowadays for instance). If banks can figure out independent ways of moving cash back and forth, the elderly do not require as much support as we are led to believe, and people do not go hungry from lack of food stamps. It validates the Libertarian point and the potential for stripping down services to the minimal. However, "if" the prediction of doom and gloom are accurate, then let's face it, modern Conservative ideology is dead. Perhaps a few generations ago, it was still possible to move back and have less government in our daily lives. We did not need a Central bank pumping billions of dollars in bond repurchase agreement like a Dialysis machine cleaning blood in our economic system or a federal government collecting Medicare/Social Security withholding to pay the elderly bill. We would not have kids dying of hunger on the streets from lack of food or medical support. Those false hopes are going to haunt every conservative conscience for decades to come and give society at least some measure of purpose. Another Continuing resolution is not what the people of the US wants, which just builds up the tension from both sides. The Average American needs a final answer to this question for ourselves, beyond what pundits and experts tell us. Can we live without a government shield of protection as individuals? or, Are we far too interconnected as a society that no one can be truly alone anymore? Without seeing its effects, without knowing how wrong we are in either case, no one will ever settle for the "supposed" truth from either side. I don't care if you are a Democrat or Republican, Tea Party or Occupy, or whatever, beneath everything, everyone wants to know the truth on how far this country has gone and where we need to go in the future. Just my two cents

I wanted to read the anarchist cookbook after Fight Club Depends on the reader and culture, there are some books that get banned out of potential danger to others. In Europe for instance, I know Mein Kampf has been banned for decades, because of the author and the subject matter concerning antisemitism. Without invoking Godwin's law, would that book be covered as a banned book that should be expressed, especially after what happened?

You forgot the Lords of Kobol! (BSG reference) I've always wondered if people are genetically engineered to evolve to a form resembling our creator/s, like in the same concept as Star Trek TNG "The Chase". It would be cool to imagine that human beings are descendants of a long lost alien race, perhaps the last of their kind in this part of the universe. That final scene from the show always gives me a little goosebumps. It feels like we're part of something bigger than we are rather than being created, when a deity took his holiday and wanted to make something that is narcissistically pleasing. This line gave me the goosebumps:

Just found this one, it rewrites Pixar's Finding Nemo in a weird and interesting way: Finding Nemo If incestuous relationships ever get that complicated in human couples, society will be filled with TV talk shows.
-
So glad the British monarchy stopped doing that Is there any nature based example of incestuous or close genetic relations in animals?
