This just happened about 5 hours ago, my family were heading out for our weekly saturday morning dim sum meal, which is sort of like the Chinese version of brunch. As we were sitting down in a crowded restaurant and waiting for our food, two middle age Chinese girls came in and "dap tor" (Chinese saying for "sharing tables") with us. It's not the first time we shared a table with others and it is pretty natural in large restaurants among Chinese people as large tables can not usually be used at full capacity. Well, we each minded our own business and food orders without really approaching one another with comments. Then, the first steamed dishes came and the Chinese girls began to pray and thank God (Actually in Cantonese based on their Cantonese, it is Protestants prayer as Catholics have a different way of saying God). At first, it was fine, I've heard enough prayer and understood the practice, even if I don't share it. Then, the second dish came and again they prayed. Then, the third and fourth....You get the idea. It seemed odd, but it is not my practice, so I let it be. During the interlude, they kept exchanging pleasantries like I thank God for all the customers that we have at the Travel Agency or I thank God for the many (White people) who went down to New York in recent months. They laughed throughout the meal as I sat there drinking my green tea remaining calm externally, but enraged at the thoughts these girls had established. This exchange is why I don't like segments of modern Christianity or some of their Chinese adherents, they treat God as some sort of "eternal Santa Claus" without really thinking about why things fall into place or about the suffering of others in order for them to reach rewards. This is in effect Pride and Selfishness at its heart. For this I personally think Buddhist will probably reach heaven faster than Chinese Christians, even if you believe in Jesus Christ as your savior as long as you hold to such concepts of rewards without validation or acknowledgement of others, you are just lying to yourself. When I pray before a meal like Thanksgiving or Christmas, I do it with the suffering of others in mind over the past year in getting the raw materials like my Turkey or Chicken on a plate, or a slice of bread due to the drought that happened last year. It is to thank God for the miracles of weather, events, and luck coming together so I can have those meals, not a personal favor. The thing that really got to me was how these girls were reacting to the high amount of people taking their buses down to New York to visit family. Do they not realize that these people went down due to the Hurricane and human suffering? Thanking God for that is not what Christians should be doing and if everyone believes that is what Christianity truly is, then it is no wonder why more than half of American no longer believe. Maybe it's just me being angry over a few ditzy girls, but I just cannot hold my outrage in. I also cannot fathom how Christianity has devolved to the point that people do not realize that their profit was not generated by God's good graces, but someone else's suffering. That's my rant...

As first, it sounds like a naval exercise gone wrong. My first though is that the incident weakens the US foreign policy position in the pacific in the big picture as well. It seems strange that as China is having territorial disputes with both the Philippines and Japan, who are both backed by US naval forces; a US ship would run aground in an area notoriously known from history (I am a huge history guy and the Battle of Leyte Gulf is one of the most interesting naval battles of in history, being the last time major surface fleets actually faced each other in open battle).

Hey SF guys are trying to do it in the reverse order, first you win the Super Bowl, then win the MLB world series, which you need to wait 90 years for Can't wait to see the Ravens-Pats rematch, if it is as close as everyone say, it will be epic. So when are you making a pilgrimage to the Holy sites, like the divine Castro Street Hope they take the NFC title, too

It seems interesting that the SF airport may be renamed after one of the first openly gay politician in the US. It's also a good sign for international recognition in small ways that SF is open to all walks of life. (Though Boston is still a good alternative ). Who knows, maybe Boston Logan Airport will be renamed the Gerry Studd airport as the current name stems from a Spanish American War officer (Seriously, airplanes were barely created, I don't understand how people named stuff in the 1950's after non-sequitor persons from 50 years prior to them). Just some fluff as a blog entry, I won't touch the gun control debate with a stick, nor will I open any new can of worms as I got enough problems with my writer's block.

What does Mississippi do for the US and its sister states that gives up their tax money? Even in a Feudal state job functions are easy follow. People don't think about the future enough, you can't live off everyone else forever. Sure you can provide relief for disaster, but that's to rebuild and get things moving. You need to have the will to push for it. The slow community mindset must give way for ambitious projects. There's a difference between being a conservative and being a statue, conservatives do believe in movement and development, but it must organized. Mississippi state government has had a lot of chances to seek private investment, government money for new intra-state mass transit, and even borrow money for improvements.

I find the Falcons really interesting, they have a strong start and a lot of momentum in the first half, even the 3rd quarter. Yet, they fell apart really quickly in the 4th. San Francisco was consistently decent in the first half and made excellent plays in the last quarter with 2 touchdowns. San Fran has a good chance of winning the NFC title. San Fran will be a tough team to beat for the pats, but we have had time to adjust our plays and fix our mistakes. The San Fran RB's are going to be a problem, they have the best defense in the playoffs now. Brady just beat Montana's post season record tonight, so the comparison is nice I know San Fran looks good, but I want to have fun rivalry, instead of the New York curse that seems to always happen to the Pats in recent years. Although, Baltimore will be a really good game. We lost only by 1 point last time, Brady can do better and the Defense needs to tighten up our secondary. If we lost to Baltimore, I will be rooting for the Ravens to take out San Fran, if they don't choke against the Falcons

Rob Ninkovich was the momentum pusher for the 2nd half for the pats with his interception, it sealed the fate of Houston. The pats need to work on some mechanics, but it should be a great re-match between us and the Ravens, next week. I'd love to have a San Fran vs. Pats game. We can have a West Coast vs. East Coast match up finally (Plus there is something special between New England and California for gay fans )

Yeah, but most of us northern elephants really don't like Washington and have been waiting for someone to say what's been on our minds for the last decade. We hate the hypocrisy and we really don't like big spending in the deep south, "rural improvement" does not mean high speed internet access for half price. Let's be honest James, can you tell me why the hell does your state get so much Federal aid and its Republican members keep telling everyone else to quit spending on themselves at the same time they're trying to grab a piece? At this rate, I might not be opposed to another Reconstruction where all the old elephants in the south, who used to be donkeys growing up, get put out of their misery and some real elephants get put into office. Christie spoke his mind, he said what everyone else was afraid to say and for that I commend him.

Gay club= fun and interesting Gay bar= old guys hitting on you I am not a club guy or a bar hopper, but I don't know if other gay guys get the same strange feeling in gay bars. The crowd in them are over 35, which is not bad, but it just seems weird that there aren't many younger guys or gay bars for younger guys in their 20's. Anyone else see the same trend outside of Boston?

I don't really let them please me beyond a certain point, I guess well, I don't know how to really let them do it. I want to open up my heart, but I don't know how to. A box of chocolates or a stuffed animal is awesome, but I don't know how to respond to that except reciprocation with chocolates and gifts. Come to think of it, almost everything my past lovers give me, I basically give respond with reciprocal gifts of a similar manner if not even more. Two things about me, I hate owing people things and I don't want to feel dependent on other people. I don't know maybe it's a lot of complex stuff with me or something as simple as just not accepting gifts without giving back.

The House Republicans had earlier made motions to push the aid package out of discussion. It wasn't all the Republicans, but a good majority of them. Christie was right to be disgusted, the same Republicans that pushed against Hurricane Sandy aid were given bountiful aid for other things with taxpayer dollars throughout the years.. New York is one of the top tax contributors to the US government, even higher than Texas or California. New Jersey is in the middle of the pack in tax contributions, but it takes very little from the federal government.

I'll pitch a TV show to MTV called the "Everyone is gay" Banger can pretend to be the slow texan, Matt can be the fast talking college kid, and I can be the moody guy.

Just my two cents in support of Christie's short speech and press conference: I have to make a political comment on this, because it is so rare and something that needs a round of applause from everyone. It was unapologetic, strong, and aggressively real. Things that the Republican party of the 21st century seems to lack. It also did something I was hoping to see more from Northern Republicans, be blunt about the Hypocrisy of Southern Red States and the federal aid that goes there. I never expected someone to openly say it especially in elected office and is a luminary in the Party. I've said it for years and heard other Northern Republicans say the same things about the hypocrisy and disparity behind closed doors, so maybe this is getting open after a lot of build up. It also says something big about the Republican party today, we're not united. Christie is right on the ball, why are New Jersey and New York, who give as much or more in tax dollars than Florida or Louisiana deserve any less? Among the jobs of the federal government, disaster relief is in its core. The job of government for almost three thousands years has been among other things, disaster relief. Whether you are reading ancient Hebrew, Egyptian, Chinese, Babylonian, Greek, or Latin histories about governments, you read recorded history of drought relief, flood relief, earthquake support, and other disaster (Hell the biblical plagues weren't that rare). If the federal government cannot even do something every other government has done or is doing in history to present, why should people not be angry? Why should we offer fealty or loyalty to national parties that are so stuck up there asses that they cannot figure out how to do a thing that everyone else has done? Lastly, we're talking about the heart of the American economy. We need New York and New Jersey at optimal efficiency, We need the skyscrapers electronics and other things to be cleaned up, so offices can be re-opened. (I know for a fact that the central air system in one building has heavy metal in it that is preventing it's full opening after the Hurricane, it's bullshit). If you're imagining building management or insurance can handle it, the cash costs of such repairs is enormous, not to mention that Hurricane insurance is rare in the Northeast. I forgive almost anything, especially betrayal (not only infidelity type of betrayal, if I can't trust you, then I can't really open up to you). I am really understanding and if the guy has a problem I usually patient waiting for him. I might be cold, but I am not unsympathetic. It's a paradox really, I am open to others, but reflexively closed in my own heart and thoughts. I want to be with them, but know that they have their limits and that it's likely that things will end eventually. I guess at the start of all my relationships despite what I hope for, I also prepare for the pessimistic outcome. By the way, YB is that an invitation

Depends on which one, some gave great head and a decent rim job. I also love doing it for them as well depending on the circumstances. I guess I am a cold person and calculating (Accountant stereotype ), though to be honest, I am just really set on objectives and getting things done. I seem to get all the small things right (like noticing details about the other guy like work or family stuff, then giving him support), but can't quite get the big stuff right. I don't expect to be with a guy forever, just as long as I can. It's weird to explain my problem, every guy I dated says I am a great guy and nice. They also said I will find someone better.
