  1. Ever heard of the nickelback song: Sorry for breaking into song, but it's a good one for the idea of forgiveness. There's alot of things people can do, but in the end it is very difficult.
  2. hehe People do not understand, how on one hand I can be so conservative? But, How can I be so understanding of Liberal arguments? People in real life and on GA wonder: how can you have those stands if you're a Republican and be conservative on certain issues? Easy, the answer is: I'm a former trekkie or a 90's Trekkie. Anyone, who embraced the ideas of Star Trek at one time of their life or another are affected by the ideas. I got into Star Trek Next Generation as a kid, so I was very open to new ideas and scientific improvements along with philosophical debates on the ideals of humanity. I guess you can say that got me into being a liberal perhaps a lot sooner in my life than most 10 year old kids should. Then, I grew older and kept watching Star Trek. Deep Space Nine might be considered the turning point for my beginning teenage changes toward conservatism. It was a fair extension of where idealism must be tempered by the realistic issues of war and terrorism, very ahead of its time, as well. Those that grew up on the show in the late 20th century have a different outlook than those that grew up on it in the 1990's. I'm getting that generational issue, while older guys think openness and diplomacy to be the hallmarks of Star Trek, the 90's crowd are more pragmatic as they grew up on less "happy Star Trek" and more "Dark Star Trek". Another thing about Star Trek is the idea of Socialism being part of the Federation/Starfleet ideals. It's true believe it or not, many Trekkies may not say it, but they are socialist to an extent. Very utopian and nice for many traditional fan, but what broke the mold most likely was the DS9 focus on the problem of Socialism breaking down and challenging the system that older fans have kept. It also demonstrated how the problems of the individual and group can sometime never work, aka the issues of terrorist within this socialist paradise. As I see the difference, I'd say the concept of classic Star Trek i.e Star Trek The original series and Next Generation reflects 20th century hopes and ideals for better world that were still being pursued. The DS9 interpretation reflect 21st century pragmatism and functional ideas on how such hopes and ideals may never stand completely against the chaotic effects of reality. So, I hope that explains how I can be conservative in some ways and open to liberal ideas in other ways.
  3. You never know what others may think; the only way to achieve partial forgiveness is through accepting the facts within for yourself. An apology is not just between people; it's a very hard process that involves a lot of things. Certain things that you can forgive may not be forgiven in that other person's mind. At times, you may want to forgive yourself and that person has forgiven you, but you just can't due to some type of emotional attachment that you placed on it. Complete forgiveness is very difficulty to achieve, if you believe in the Christian idea of Forgiveness, you basically are preached it without being taught how to reach it to its fullness. One reason why theologians would claim that only God can forgive and not human beings. I don't believe it needs to come from God that you are forgiven. You must take the approach on your own person first. Forgiveness must begin with you; you must be able to forgive as both the victim and victimizer of the offense no matter how big or small. I can't do it though, so I am very human in that regard.
  4. Can I call you Bubba then? Always wanted to do that with a Southerner ever since I read the Foley-Mashburn Saga. There are certain things in the south that I really do like: Comfort foods and the nice people. I know how very set in their ways southerners are perceived, but you are darn good folk no matta' wat. hehe!
  5. Awesome, Now I know who's been calling me about a fabulous deal to refinance my home loan. Thank Kevin, you're the best, now where's my wads of cash.
  6. Cool, if I do get a piercing, I think I'll go right just like my political and sexual leanings, hehe!
  7. I can say I am half a virgin, never been penetrated, always the penetrator! :o I want to be with some one I mutually love for that act to occur. Otherwise, it's nothing more than plain sex with a boyfriend of the moment.
  8. Does anyone know if it's the left ear or right ear? One side ear will get people to call you chic. The other side will get people to call you gay!
  9. I think there's a bias about sex/rape in several state statutes that purports males to be the ones engaging in the act of sex and the female as the unwilling participant. It was debated a few years ago, but I haven't heard much about this line of reasoning in a while. So even if the boy is younger, he gets the blame for the rape, because he's a male. LOL! Talk about reverse sexism. Logically, she should be the one charge if we interpret the idea of statutory rape (between teenagers seems a bit stupid, but it's state law which is on themselves stupid), but in reality, it's kind of the sad story that "men are always the rapists and woman the victim" idea.
  10. You never know how developed kids can be; some guys are sexually mature at age 11, so it is all possible. He does look so young, though. I've seen a guy, who was about 5'5 and looks like a 13 year old, but he has to have one of the biggest packages ever, so I am not surprised anymore about appearances. (We were on the same floor in the dorms during Freshman year and I saw him in the communal shower once or twice, hehe.) Now if this happened in America, we'd have a debate about statutory rape. According to some US state laws, the kid could be facing jail time cuz he had sex with a teenage girl, who's underage. Lucky England doesn't do that. UPDATE- IT'S BEEN CONFIRMED DNA TEST SAYS ALFE IS NOT THE FATHER AND CHANTELLE, THE GIRL AT AGE 15, WAS SLEEPING AROUND A LOT. DNA TEST NEWS You know this reminds me of Do-Over, when that girl tried to get Brian to marry her by saying she had his kid. Wonder if this experience will teach Alfe a lesson about Gold Diggers.
  11. Must Resist the urge of Chocolate Chip Pancakes with Blueberry Syrup and Side of Bacon with Scrambled Eggs! I'm on a Diet, sadly. Can't eat more than 1400 Calories a day. I love Pancakes though and there is an old diner a couple blocks away that does every kind of pancake you'd like; you just have to ask the guy. It's all made to order and my god so delicious. mmmmmmmmmmmm.............
  12. It's kind of funny, I thought people would be commenting on my story after the two new chapters of Worlds of Difference 2 and 3 went live. Well I guess I will explain some of the aspects in my story that people may have overlooked or had questions: The allowance of 13 and 15 year olds to drink alcohol during ancient times was a true practice especially during long journeys. True it is against the law today in most parts of the world for underage drinking, but during the 7th century BC, most major civilizations mixed alcohol into their drinking water in order to dilute certain properties and help stamina. Greece is famous for this, but so was the nations of Ancient China as depicted in my story. Along with that, spiritual alcohol is another aspect of Chinese Confucian ideas for drinking and sharing during feasts, which worked well into my story since I also introduced Confucius into the new chapters. Some people may be arguing, Why Confucius was such a prick toward gays, "didn't he accept everyone"? Well, Confucius according to legend was taught by the originator of Daoism, Laozi. Daoism is about the balance of nature and the idea of observation without interaction. Confucius is said to have refuted this idea and believe application should be the instrument of mankind's own destiny. Well, homosexuality is viewed as an anomally in certain Daoist interpretations, not from the founder Laozi's original ideas, but due to the idea of masculine and feminine being necessary to perpetuate natural evolution and Confucius at the time in my story still was under this particular set of Daoist principles, so his negative reaction to homosexuality is pretty accurate of one of the era's philosophical daoist ideals. I'll explain a little more into the idea of Confucianism and the erroneous interpretation that Western philosophers try to place on Confucius' ideas later. You don't know how wrong many western philosophers are about the "Golden Rule" and what Confucius actually believed. So does that give you a little idea on how I write this story; it is full of historical facts and interesting cultural material. After the ancient chinese adventure; my characters will journey to Biblical era Judea around 10th century BC, hehe! If you think learning about ancient China was interesting and the problematic interpretation of eastern philosophy was revealing, wait until you read about what the bible does not tell you.
  13. Maybe I am Celine Dione then and "my heart will go on and on", hehe!
  14. Oh no, Mark is actually a homophobe religious evangelist, who is out to steal your money and brain wash your kids. PLEASE SOME ONE THINK OF THE CHILDREN!
  15. Profile: ENTP "Clever" is the word that perhaps describes ENTPs best. The professor who juggles half a dozen ideas for research papers and grant proposals in his mind while giving a highly entertaining lecture on an abstruse subject is a classic example of the type. So is the stand-up comedian whose lampoons are not only funny, but incisively accurate. ENTPs are usually verbally as well as cerebrally quick, and generally love to argue--both for its own sake, and to show off their often-impressive skills. They tend to have a perverse sense of humor as well, and enjoy playing devil's advocate. They sometimes confuse, even inadvertently hurt, those who don't understand or accept the concept of argument as a sport. ENTPs are as innovative and ingenious at problem-solving as they are at verbal gymnastics; on occasion, however, they manage to outsmart themselves. This can take the form of getting found out at "sharp practice"--ENTPs have been known to cut corners without regard to the rules if it's expedient -- or simply in the collapse of an over-ambitious juggling act. Both at work and at home, ENTPs are very fond of "toys"--physical or intellectual, the more sophisticated the better. They tend to tire of these quickly, however, and move on to new ones. ENTPs are basically optimists, but in spite of this (perhaps because of it?), they tend to become extremely petulant about small setbacks and inconveniences. (Major setbacks they tend to regard as challenges, and tackle with determin- ation.) ENTPs have little patience with those they consider wrongheaded or unintelligent, and show little restraint in demonstrating this. However, they do tend to be extremely genial, if not charming, when not being harassed by life in general. In terms of their relationships with others, ENTPs are capable of bonding very closely and, initially, suddenly, with their loved ones. Some appear to be deceptively offhand with their nearest and dearest; others are so demonstrative that they succeed in shocking co-workers who've only seen their professional side. ENTPs are also good at acquiring friends who are as clever and entertaining as they are. Aside from those two areas, ENTPs tend to be oblivious of the rest of humanity, except as an audience -- good, bad, or potential. Some Famous ENTPs: Alexander the Great Confederate General J. E. B. Stuart Sir Walter Raleigh Fictional: Mercutio, from Romeo and Juliet Horace Rumpole, from John Mortimer's Rumpole of the Bailey series Dorothy L. Sayers's detective Lord Peter Wimsey U.S. Presidents: John Adams, 2nd US president. [Adams appears to have been competing with Thomas Jefferson to see who would live the longest. ("Jefferson surv...")] James A. Garfield (who could reportedly write Latin with one hand and Greek with the other, simultaneously) Rutherford B. Hayes Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt Thomas Edison Lewis Carrol, author (Alice in Wonderland) Julia Child Suzanne Pleshette George Carlin Valerie Harper John Candy John Sununu Weird Al Yankovick Marilyn Vos Savant Alfred Hitchcock Tom Hanks David Spade C

    RIP Mark

I may not know the man, but his family and friends have my sympathies. Rest in peace!
  17. I actually do suffer from Glaucoma, so I am not afraid of that. 1. I am afraid of darkness and silence together. I am fine with either separately, but if they occur together like walking alone at night; I am really afraid. It's just eerie and you are expecting something from nothing. 2. This is a recurring dream of mine and a deep fear; I am afraid to have gained everything I could ever desire, but lose everything I ever loved. I blame this on a high school course, where we watched Citizen Kane and talked about the meanings behind it. Irrational right or prophetic?
  18. Wow, I love the living biography of GA. Why does 2007 look so sleek? Maybe I am starting to get into Campy things, but it seems cool, dan must fight the urge!

I am split halfway between a thinker and emotionalist. My lover is also split three ways, what the heck? Does that mean I should consider not going into a monagomous relationship? I love sensing, intuitive, thinking, feeling, perceiving, and judging lovers. The only thing I know is that the guy I will love will be introverted that's it.
  20. Anyone think BSG's The Plan will explain some of the more mysterious elements like the head people alittle more? Also, How did the original Kara die on earth-1?

I love Legos!!!! Looked at the plot and characters, I have been waiting for a good animated gay parody for a while, thanks!
  22. I wish I had my old team I love editors, you guys are equally part of the stories final production as the writer. As a writer, we come up with concepts and plots. As an editor and proofreader, you conceptualize our ideas and help create the flow from which a great story can emerge. I applaud your work noble editors and beta readers.

  24. Star Trek Voyager was not what I called ending well, but I agree with the rest. The new BSG served so many levels of a good sci-fi series. You have action, large arcs, and questions. I think people will start looking back at the series and thinking to themselves; wow, it went from point A to Z with a plot that is believable enough and interesting based on human characters. I loved how they ended Roslin's long struggle with cancer; it was the best ending ever. I may be gay, but I do love the soft spot that Adama and Roslin created, a gruffy old veteran and a soft-hearted school teacher, perfect TV power couple. The religious and metaphysical nature of the series is going to be debated very soon on every forum of the web with BSG viewers. It is perhaps the most open interpretation of a living God that you could ever conceptualize in our reality. Kara's role as an "Angel/Deliverer" is another issue, which makes you think about causality and life's meaning. Baltar is the most human character ever depicted in Sci-fi, self serving, egotistical, and most unfaithful man you will ever meet. He is the centerpiece of the series long stories as the character we in our darkest thoughts can relate to. A "Don Quixote" figure, who mishaps into adventure and has visions of a different reality than the one he lives in. Congrats on creating such a complicated man. The most under appreciated character is Lee Adama, a warrior, a statemen, and a leader. He has followed the path of a noble human being in a inhospitable environment for nobility. He is a defender of the innocent, warrior against tyranny, and a democratically minded person with no aspirations for power or position. He has been too overlook in this series, which many should review again once the DVD's or more likely Torrents of the complete series come out. Now Athena and Boomer, nice ending! (Don't want to spoil it) Same goes with Galen and Tory. I will say this of the finale to peak interest: "It has happened before and it shall happen again"

    Gay films

Today, I am in the mood for an animated gay movie. Queer Duck, hehe! Also, does anyone think Bugs Bunny cross dresses too much to be straight? I kind of consider him the first "gay icon" in American media. I won't label him as gay or transgendered, but he does love woman outfits and kissing Elmer fudd. Considering he's a rabbit that might be some form of bestiality, but i will anthropomorphize him as an equivalent human being.
