Apple In-Cider was once an Apple II-focused magazine.

In the US, apple cider is usually non-alcoholic. Do Clay and Greg often use fruit juice as an excuse for lowering their inhibitions? My god, think of the kids! ;–)

Does Mason know that his father isn’t straight as Greg (and presumably the rest of the community) thought he was? ;–)

I had a feeling that Clay would be interested in Greg. But either this is a quick three chapter story, or there will be some interesting complications coming up soon. And having read a couple of your previous stories, I’m sure they will be incredibly convoluted and confusing. Will a certain Mafia Don come to make an investment offer that Greg cannot refuse? ;–) ;–)

…Which means you can post chapter 3 Mason tomorrow! ;–)

    Chapter 4

Thank you for the addendum. There was a discussion of this topic elsewhere on GA and several authors (who lived through the pandemic) were adamant about not letting reality intrude on their fiction! They refused to even consider the suggestion of adding a little statement before or after the chapter. I really appreciate you making the effort. ;–)

    Chapter 4

I realize this is a fictional story with fictional characters, but I spent too much of my time trying to educate people on the importance of Safer Sex. I’ve known too many people who died way too young. And the numbers of young people who are still being diagnosed are shockingly high, decades after the cause was discovered. Your life is valuable. Don’t throw it away for a few minutes of passion. There is still no cure. The cocktail doesn’t work for everyone, it’s expensive, and it has serious side-effects. Be here for the cure!

    Chapter 4

Not being a coffee- or tea-type person, I try to bring my own (non-alcoholic) refreshments to the hospital. Of course, that only works if you have time to prepare. When it’s an emergency, as it was with the Major, you just have to go with what you have. Bringing donuts or homemade comfort food is especially valuable for those in the waiting room when a serious hospital procedure is pre-scheduled, like major surgery. People who work with the homeless need to figure out a strategy for coping with a Major-style personality. If you don’t, there are people who will take advantage of you. Many of the needy have been in situations like prison or foster care where they are competing for extremely scare resources. If you can’t figure out a strategy, you quickly burn out. A Judy-type is not an uncommon occurrence. ;–)

Hmmm. I hadn’t noticed the first time that Shade has blue eyes. The same color as the flowers, the sword, and a few other things? ;–)

    Epilogue

A non-binary person could appear to most as cis-gendered. I would expect that many might appear to be at least a little more androgynous than most. But Sam Smith just Came Out as non-binary. ;–) Bella could have introduced her Plus One and made sure to mention the preferred pronouns are ‘they’ and ‘their.’ Nothing more would necessarily need to be mentioned. As this was an epilogue, we wouldn’t have needed to learn where they met or much more than they made her happy! ;–)

    Epilogue

I can think of at least three unconventional alternatives to het: a woman, someone non-binary, or a Transperson… ;–)
  12. Cute story. Fun characters. And bunny gifs (in the Comments). What more could you want? ;–) Sorry @Jasmine94, I clicked the wrong button! I meant to click ‘Helpful’!

    Epilogue

Several happy endings. (Too bad Bella wan’t one of them too. She didn’t get an HEA.) ;–) It was a fun ride! ;–)
  14. I can’t imagine that one of The Watchers would be very creative… ;–)
  15. 250,000+ words a year with weekends off and a short US-style working vacation! ;–)
  16. So Amazon.ca should be able to find you at ‘Michael & Tim near Toronto,’ right? ;–)
  17. Here, let me have Amazon.ca send you a case of Tums. It’ll make you feel better. Just save the extras for your next story and its daily posting schedule! ;–)
  18. So you have no excuse for not posting the next chapter immediately! ;–)

    Spoiler alert!
  20. And what’s stopping you? Is Hemothracene threatening to send Stravor with the sword after you? I’m sure Shade and Keter (with his amulet) will protect you! ;–)
  21. Entitled people have no idea why others should have any power. They believe they know better than the rest of us. Entitled people have caused much chaos throughout history. Entitled people will use any means necessary to justify their dominance. They will use any means necessary to dominate others. They will use any means necessary to pervert justice.
  22. I suggest breast cancer. It would be one of the more humiliating diagnosis for Donnie to get. He likes to think of himself as so masculine and this type of cancer is closely identified with women even though it doesn’t restrict itself by gender. I cannot imagine Donnie wearing a pink ribbon… ;–)
