  1. I’m wondering if Brandon really does know more about Ryder than Teddy, at least in that one area. It does seem like Brandon has reached out to Ryder more than any of the other band members. My gut feeling is that Brandon does have the best intentions and really does care about Ryder. The band does realize they’ve only gotten where they have because of Ryder. ;-)

Of course Devon would think of Jurassic Park! ;-) And now we see how Old Ones interact with each other initially. There has to be curiosity on both sides. But with pets like dogs, they usually recommend letting them sniff each other through a screen door so neither one can attack the other. This allows them to feel more secure while they are introduced to something new and strange. The goal is to create a harmonious pack with Devon and Vlad as the Alphas, right? ;-)

    Chapter 13

Joey has consistently ascribed Gene’s comments as the words of a drunken teenager. I do not believe everything that someone tells me when they are drunk. On multiple occasions a drunken straight guy insisted that he loved me, but only when he was drunk. I’m sure he would not have been interested in any sexual activities where he would be required to be receptive! He confused affection with love.
  4. I’m not a fan of the Army. But I really did appreciate the gift of a blanket (not from the Salvation Army) when I was homeless and staying in a shelter! And I wasn’t even trying to survive in the frozen tundra of suburban Ontario! ;-)

    Chapter 13

It took Joey thirteen chapters to realize he loves Gene – okay, the first few chapters can be excused! Nicky asked, but didn’t force the issue. Of course it took Star to get Joey to admit what he hadn’t consciously realized yet! ;-) Sometimes when an author announces that the next chapter will be the end of the story, it’s kind of a whimper. Sometimes it feels like a natural progression. But as with most of @Ronyx’s stories, you just want to scream “No, it’s too soon!” ;-)

    Chapter 1

I’m from the future. I’m just here to tweak things a bit! You’d be amazed at what I know! Mwah Haha! ;-)

If we needed to continue that theme, what about “Makarovia? Who the heck doesn’t know where that is!” ;-)

    A New Ryder

I like falsettos. There’s a long, proud history of rock, its predecessor, and associated music-types using falsettos. Phillip Bailey Jr, Barry Gibb, and Roy Orbison are just three of the more famous singers that I think of when I think falsettos. ;-) We keep seeing how much Ryder has changed since the beginning of the story, but I’m not sure Teddy has matured as much in the same time period.
  9. Well, it’s nice to see Robbie concerned about someone else for a change. Robbie’s a typical self-obsessed teenager and it’s good to see him interacting with Jamie. It’s not something either Don or Sue are compelling him to do. It’s something he went out of his way to do and that’s rather of atypical of ‘our’ Robbie. ;-)
  10. I think you may have had your (secular) epiphany.
  11. I’m not here to argue with anyone. I expressed my opinion and that’s all it was. I did not try to tell anybody to censor their content or avoid any topic. I will not contribute any further to this conversation.
  12. Not everyone has access to the latest information about HIV. There are many who seem to be under the very false impression that there is a cure. Young people and people who are just Coming Out need to be reminded that not everything in a story should be emulated.
  13. I’m so sorry you’re hurting. So with a third Wild One, and from a different country, George should be able to deduce more about the Venom. Even if Repetate and Iustina aren’t related, they’re probably more similar genetically than the new one will be. Its arrival should be the hit of the conference! ;-)
  14. They’ve kind of switched roles with Teddy being insecure. It’s interesting to see how Ryder deals with Teddy in that situation. Very Ryder, and very unlike Teddy’s approach to Ryder’s insecurity. ;-) If you squeeze five guys into a van for several weeks, they’ll either bond with each other or they’ll bicker and fight with each other constantly. It appears that Messiah has bonded. Another sign of future success for the group! ;-)
  15. There are winners in elections too. ;-)

    Two's a couple

My own situation was a little different because my parents figured out that I was Gay a few years after I started dating me. But I never would have done anything visible around anyone who attended my father’s church, so I know what it’s like. Even so, there were a couple people who either knew or suspected. I avoided being interviewed for a TV news report about LGBTQ Pride while waiting in line for Frameline41 outside the Castro Theatre out of fear(?) of being recognized by my father’s former parishioners. ;-)

Mr Cooper, I need you to sign here for this case of Kleenex Tissues. And here, for this box of water-proof Mascara. See you next week for your next shipment? ;-)
  18. But the title is illogical logic. ;-)
  19. If he’s a birthday gift, shouldn’t he be in his birthday suit? ;-)
  20. Many people are rushing to buy lottery tickets this week even though the chances are less than 1 in 300,000,000. Many of those same people don’t vote because they don’t think their vote matters. 1 in 200,000,000* * Eligible voters in the US.
  21. Belated birthday wishes! Personally, I’d prefer a redheaded Scot san kilt, but those sorts of pictures aren’t allowed on GA. ;-)
  22. I don’t know what that feels like. Both of my parents had cancer. My mother had a brain tumor –she had surgery, but there wasn’t any real improvement in her memory and she lingered for a couple years. My father had cancer in his throat – he had been a minister, so the loss of his voice after a larynectomy was devastating (to me at least), but after his surgery, the cancer came back and he decided not to undergo further treatment. In both cases, they were old (in their 70s) and death is a little less unexpected than for a younger person.
  23. I guess telling Brett the truth about his sperm-donor would be just one too many stressful thing on top of all the other stressful events in Billy’s life right now. He can’t come completely clean. If he felt like he was naked today, telling Brett would seem like he was walking around with an erection too! ;-)
  24. I apologize if this question has already been asked and addressed, but I'm wondering if the maximum font size within the story editor can be increased. Right now it seems 18pts. (or thereabouts) is the largest we can make text, whereas with the old system, you could go substantially larger. I'd only ever want a larger size for titles. Thanks for viewing my question.

    Chapter 12

I was so happy to get an update on Eddie’s life, but very sad that he was still being bullied! But I’m happiest that Joey will be getting out of the hospital! ;-)
