    The Gamer

The closeted little jerk has wanted to kiss Andy the whole time. All of the torment leading up to this point was just his idea of foreplay! All those wardrobe changes were part of Tyrone’s attempts at seductive moves! ;-) Tyrone is socially as well as emotionally stunted. But Andy seems to be a little emotionally stunted too. They might make a better match than appearances might suggest! ;-)
  2. Heard this the first time this morning while working. Extra-special bonus points if you can name the opera being quoted in the coda of the last movement... (starts min. 25:48)

    The Story

I hope the Resistance (here in the US) never has to get to that level!
  4. I can tell you I’d be the last one to accept free tickets to one of those kinds of concerts. It’s so totally not my kind of music. But I think my older nephew loves it! ;-) I’m reading this story because of the interactions between Teddy & Ryder and their friends. ;-)
  5. All three of the big end-of-year US holidays in one chapter! ;-) It was fun getting a glimpse of everyone, even though I’d like to have seen more about several of my favorites! ;-)

    Chapter 10

Are these the same guys who were trying to get infected so they could live forever in Blueblood? I think they were trying to attack A’Dore and Blethos too! They’re extremely devious and cunning… ;-)
  7. No, it was actually kind of sad. He always had plenty of friends. I don’t know that I was his best friend during that period… ;–) Although we are 23 months apart, my parents often treated us as if we were twins or something. “The little boys” was their most common term to refer to us. I hated it, but they didn’t understand why it bothered me so much and they continued to use it until even when we got to high school. I am very stubborn and there were many things that bothered me. They relented on many of those issues, but not that one. Until fairly recently, I hadn’t realized how often I’d gotten my way, just how spoiled I really was. At one point I decided I no longer wanted to wear hand-me-downs (from my older brother and other relatives) – I didn’t have a lot of clothes, but no one had worn them before me! And around that time we ate a lot of fish (given to us by family friends) and I decided I was never going to eat fish again! My mother gave in and would make me something special whenever they had fish – and I never had to eat another tuna sandwich again! ;–)
  8. It’s so sad that kids ostracized Ryder beginning in Kindergarten! I was clearly one of the less popular kids in school, but I still had a few friends. I was always a little out of sync with my peers. In any case, my best friend through elementary school was my younger brother (although we started drifting apart beginning when I went junior high school). But I cannot imagine not having any friends! ;-)
  9. Unfortunately, Paula misinterprets the ‘him’ in that question as her god rather than her minister. ;-)
  10. I think someone else is getting The Cockney Canuck confused with W.A.R.! I’m glad I’m not the only one who reads too many stories at once and mixes them up occasionally. But I still think that Billy and Robbie should reveal each other's secrets to the ones they’ve been holding out on. ;-)
  11. These were the arcs for Billy and Paula that were set long ago. It’s been inevitable that they would butt heads and have a serious falling out. They are both too stubborn to budge. It’s still not totally irreparable, but things will never be the way they were when George was still alive. George distracted Paula from focusing on Billy and also functioned to ease their differences somewhat. In addition, Paula was much less of a religious fanatic back then. This also points out why Universal Healthcare is such a vital goal in the US, the only major industrialized nation not to have it! Healthcare is a right, not a privilege. No one should have the ability to withhold healthcare to force another person to do as they demand. Paula is the embodiment of what is wrong with the US today! Legally, Paula is still obligated to take care of Billy including paying for his healthcare. Realistically, it might take more time, financial resources, and energy to force her to fulfill her obligations though. She might get away with her illegal behavior (just as some, higher profile criminals are getting away with their illegal actions).
  12. Well we got to see Liam hog both babies, just as everyone predicted! If more people were like this group of people, there wouldn’t be a need for groups homes for foster children and no child would have to wait years or even decades to be adopted! In my own family, I have both a cousin and a niece who were adopted. ;-)

    Chapter 10

That bridge needs to be renamed the Allen Albright Memorial Bridge! It played such a significant role in the first story and is so symbolic now in this one! @Ronyx, I think you should add a dedication to the bridge in an epilogue to the story! ;-)

    Chapter 9

I do not speak any languages other than English. I know a bunch of words in Spanish (mostly food-related or from California place names), but am incapable of carrying on a conversation in Spanish even though I took several years of it in school. I know significantly fewer words in French even though I took that too, but most of us know many words simply because they’re part of the English language – again I can’t converse in French. I took two years of Japanese in high school, but only remember numbers, a few colors, and (again) mostly food-related words and could not even begin to structure a comprehensible sentence! But most people had no idea and I always hated it when people conversed in foreign languages and expected everyone to just understand. I used to participate on another Forum (15-20 years ago) and one very pretentious guy liked to show off, quoting things in German, Greek, or Latin. And of course, he’d refuse to translate his words so everyone could understand. I vowed never to be like him! ;-)

Was this just the first stage in a larger plan? What will they do now that this attempt failed? And who is actually in the Consortium? I can’t imagine Ukraine voluntarily cooperating with Russia… ;-)

I’m happy to let the bi and straight guys worry about that! Besides there’s always turkey basters and ’test tubes’! ;-)

I was wondering if Blaine would discover the app too… @ObicanDecko didn't ask us how soon before the app made the first match though. ;-)

    Hatman's Return

A person’s bank statement does not at all corollate to his or her intelligence level. There are many examples out there to prove that! But mentioning one or more could get me a warning. ;-)
  24. But what about Bruce the purple-nosed Gay reindeer? ;-)

    Chapter 8

Characters crossed-over from Cinderfella into North meets South… ;-) MacOS allows you to switch instantly between different software keyboards. Combined with the numerous fonts that are preinstalled, this allows you to type in Cyrillic languages like Russian or even Hebrew, Chinese, Japanese, and various South and Southeast Asian languages and writing systems. The MacOS will also allow you to instantly switch from Left-to-Right to Right-to-Left for languages like Hebrew, Chinese, and Japanese. (Of course, not all applications can deal with those changes and some, like games, will ignore them.) ;-) Less drastic changes include software keyboards for Canadian English and Hawaiian as well as less common ones like Icelandic. ;-)
