Very nice story! I think Evan is right the way he sees this. :-)

I didn’t realize you were old enough to have witnessed guillotine beheadings in France… ;-) Wait, is 8890… your age? ;-)

Wouldn’t it be more punishing to the guy if he had to live the rest of his life with a truncated penis with everyone else knowing of his condition? Anywhere he went, people would eventually find out about his mutilated genitals. He’d never be able to forget what he tried to do!

But is R Eric that devious?

‘…those blue and white drawings!’ Really? Mitch can’t remember ‘blueprint?’ ;-) I’m surprised Mitch didn’t think about trying to make a counter-offer on the hotel. I’m sure Tony could find a few extra investors to add to the money the four guys could scrap together. Otherwise, he should find a boutique hotel in the area to buy, possibly upgrade an existing one. Something really upscale on the level of the places Tony loves so much.

Bailey sure is a tough kid. Two big football players beat him up and yet he gets up and goes home only to get yelled at by his mother! What a horrible mess! This may be mild for you, CM, but it’s pretty traumatic anyway! Bailey reminds me of Kayden. I hope it’s just a coincidence. ;-)

I love how the US has progressed far enough to elect a Gay man as President. And is able to look back at the chaos caused by the past election of the wrong person. I would hope the ‘First Lady’ reference was just an inside joke and not the general usage though. ;-) I hope I’m still around to witness the announcement of the cure for HIV/AIDS at some point in the (near) future just as they cured DH-20 in your story.

I’m an expert on that. I’m a procrastinator and I’m stubborn.

Yes, I remember this all, but nevertheless it leaves me thinking about a bigger picture behind the visible symptoms. ;-) Maybe my scientist gen is just exploding? LOL

I’m shocked that the coaches weren’t monitoring the locker room. Even when I was in school in the ‘70s, the coaches were around whenever we were in the locker room. In both my high school and junior high school gym buildings, the coaches office opened right into the locker room and there was no way they wouldn’t have heard a fight. No time period was mentioned, but these days schools are even more responsible to prevent beatings on campus. In many places, there could be a law suit against the bullies as well as the coaches and administration. Of course, the teacher who chased the bullies back to class should at least be reprimanded for her lack of awareness of the goings on in the hallway outside her classroom. This is all neglect. Recently in a local high school, several athletes were expelled for hazing their younger teammates. From what has been reported so far, the hazing involved holding the students down and touching them through their clothing. No hitting or blood was involved. Of course, the students and their supporters claim it was ‘just horseplay’ and ‘just boys being boys.’ Parents are moaning about how this could affect them for the rest of their lives. They don’t worry about the effect their precious babies had on their own teammates! An interesting start…

Nice reunion. Sybil and Arthur are very sweet. But all of this lets me think about something... how could the packs loose one another. There must have been strong bindings. What/ Who was able to destroy it? Is there something lurking in the background which we don`t know about? Where does Kellar come from.... So many questions.

Medic in the military, cop, hotel manager, writer. What other tricks do you have up your sleeve? ;-)

I thought, that was a very sensitive spot and it did hurt more. I don’t think you need the comma. (And there are more nerve endings there, so of course it’s more painful.) Yannick won’t be satisfied until saw and confirmed we were alright. I think ‘wouldn’t’ makes more sense. The problem was we couldn’t get but so much. Give. The house where Garth, Bent and three children was charming. Lived? I remember back in the early ’70 they had a new contraption that was supposed to be less painful (it wasn’t) because it forced the vaccine into you without a needle using high pressure. Theoretically, it was more better because there were no needles to sterilize. But since they’re using disposable needles instead of those horrible machines, it’s clear that the concept wasn’t successful. I think they were probably experimenting with it on the captive ‘lab rats’ who attended public schools in San Diego. I’ve had lots of inoculations in my life. Some nurses are better than others. One tapped my arm before injecting me and I couldn’t feel it at all! Another seemed to know a spot where there were no nerve endings and again, I couldn’t feel the needle! On the other hand, one joker tried to tell me that the vaccine wouldn’t work if I looked away (like I always do). ;-)

Every time I see the Site for Sore Eyes ad, I my Gaydar pings. The two men seem like a couple heading off for a date together. Yeah, I know they meet up with two women at the end where they all pose showing off their stylish glasses. They look like the Lesbian couple who are planning to coparent with the guys – I hope they use a turkey baster, not the natural method.

Hey Timmy! I’m still in sunny California! I’d notice Richard here. But you’d have to send me a ticket so I could fly to Europe for me to notice him in London. (There’s a discount Spanish air carrier that’s going to start service to the Bay Area and they’ve got a special on a few tickets, $299 roundtrip, extra for baggage check-in or seat selection, for a specific date in June, leaving and returning.) That’s why I notice all the Britishisms in your Prompt Story! I have depression-related insomnia so I’m often awake very late into the morning. But I was hinting that Richard could interact with some of your other characters in your other stories. He could be one of Patrick’s long-lost cousins and/or a cousin of the Twins. That would allow him to ‘live’ again! ;-)

Actually, I think he needs to see both, just like I see both. They have different functions. Just talking won’t solve his problems. Brett needs medication. The fact that he felt he was better able to cope when he was smoking pot confirms that. But Brett acts like many bipolar people I’ve known – they like the manic phase and don’t want to take medications that will moderate the mood swings. Brett doesn’t want to be calmed down. He thinks he will be tranquilized into lethargy. Some medications will do that, but doctors only prescribe those meds when the benefits outweigh the side effects. Good psychiatrists monitor their patients to avoid those sorts of problems. When I had side effects that bothered me, my psychiatrist changed my meds. Brett is old enough that his psychiatrist should pay attention to what he wants and only inform Jen of his progress rather than consulting with her on his medication the way a doctor would do with someone incapable of making their own decisions.

Are they going to make poor Patrick sleep in the upper bunk? Or does he have to sleep on the couch in the living room? (Mom has the other bedroom, doesn’t she?) That house is getting awfully crowded these days! ;-) Just once I’d like to read a Gay story where the non-Gay foster parents aren’t just in it for the money. I have to believe that the majority of foster parents and social workers actually have the best interests of the children in mind. At least around here, the funds that the government offers for the care and maintenance of a child doesn’t really cover what it costs.

Psychiatrists prescribe drugs. They listen to what you tell them about your problems and try to figure out what medications might help with your symptoms. There are no magic pills that always fix those symptoms. Dosages need to be adjusted and sometimes different meds attempted. Drugs are not always the solution, but rejecting all of them without trying them doesn’t make sense either. Doctors know what side effects are possible and they attempt to balance the benefits against the potential negative effects. Psychologists, on the other hand, cannot prescribe meds at all. Their job is to listen to you and possibly suggest strategies on dealing with your problems. They might offer alternative ways of looking at things. They can help you understand yourself and your issues better. Just talking about your problems can help, but talking to a trained professional is much more useful since they’ve spent years learning what actually works. Re: Dustin. From his perspective Brett is the psycho. They’ve all shown their worst sides to each other. If Dustin didn’t care so much about Billy, he wouldn’t have reacted so strongly to the betrayals. Brett went out of his way to specify that he hadn’t purchased weed in the park. Then he made it very clear that he hadn’t smoked any. TV has taught us that anytime someone is pointedly so very specific, they’re probably concealing something. Brett obviously was under the influence of something and all the evidence points to Billy’s pain pills (wanting Billy out of the house, Billy’s door being open, offering to ‘get rid of the pills’ for Billy. etc).

This architect was in his fifties and trying look like he was in his thirties, but not an ugly man, Robert Castil, he was known here in South Carolina and pretty well throughout the East Coast. I think this should be split into two sentences after ‘not an ugly man.’ The second sentence should drop the comma and ‘he.’ Granite is missing its ‘e.’ There are several places where you have an ellipsis plus an extra period in the middle of a sentence. Belle was still not understanding what the was the big deal and his lawyer was not looking happy. ‘…not understanding what the big deal was…’ sounds better to me. Alik knows who his family is. They are the people who took care of him and loved him when his father was in the hospital. Alik knows David loves him. What else does he need to know? I had plenty of honorary Aunts and Uncles as I was growing up in Hawaii. But none when we moved back to California. Some cultures are more serious about the ‘It Takes a Village’ concept.

Chapter 1 - This Can’t Be Real
Former Member commented on Bndmetl's story chapter in Chapter 1 - This Can’t Be Real
The copyright dates listed for the stories indicate 2008 for William and 2001 for Tim. Although I thought I’d read everything on crvboy, Tim doesn’t seem familiar even after I read the first two chapters. -
I said absently as I touched Seth arm, which Seth grabbed my hand. …as I touched Seth’s arm, which Seth then grabbed. In the movie Dogma, Chris Rock’s Angel character didn’t even have genitals! Lukus finally took responsibility for his part in Seth’s mother’s death. And that was a very nice apology gift he gave Seth and Erik.

Wonderful poems Parker. I loved both. Tango the poem - as I fell in love with tango the dance years ago - is my favorite. But i was mesmerized by Chant - sensual and hot.

I only know that the stress I feel is nothing compared with Trans women of color in the US, young Gays in high school in rural parts of the US, or Lesbian mothers raising children in neighborhoods like mine. My financial situation is stable, but very limited. I have survived homelessness and joblessness. I have a chosen family as well as a bio family. You are right that I do not know your situation, but I do not believe you are listening to what I said. If others identify you as a white man, there are different perceptions of who you are than if you are non-white or not a cis-male. I believe I have been very clear that my examples are primarily from the US. Your profile indicates you are from ‘Deepest Darkest Rural Sussex’ – as far as I know that is not located in the US. How can this be personal?

They posted guards at the door of his hospital room, which once he recovered enough he would be arraigned. Perhaps ‘and’ instead of ‘which.’ Upon your release from the hospital you will surrender to custody and begin you sentence then. Your. He was known for being a very sharp man and would be the one bringing the suit against Belle. Civil suit. We hired a teacher though, Alik would be attending school the next year, but Sasha didn’t want Alik to lose time because of change in languages. ‘…because of the change…’ “And that’s evidence we’ll have to the civil suit.” For the civil suit. People on the Boston/NYC/DC Axis are quite often very out of touch with the real world. Using a fork and knife on finger food is just one example. But then again, I just noticed a Stuff You Should Know podcast called Southerners Aren’t Lazy and Dumb, They Just Had Hookworm. SYSK is from How Stuff Works and they’re based in Atlanta.
