Trebs

We actually came up with an idea for a contest to create a GA logo a while ago, but then everything took over with my work and then health and I never persued it. Part of it would be that the eventual winning design, we could try to do bumper stickers, or bookmarks, or clothing... Would there be interest amongst our creative types for such a contest?

One clarification, it was 7 years past the day she was declared legally dead, which will be in December (it took a year and half from disappearance to declaration). Which fits that that is also the point, a few months away, when Dirk was planning on telling Trevor. Bigger issue - even if he promised the (ex-)wife that he wouldn't tell anyone until she was legally dead for 7 years, he's really stupid by not trusting Trevor anyways and just telling him early.

There was one part back in Chapter 7 that I think is key, and don't think people have really looked at. It is after Trevor comes back from the anniversary trip and Dirk is confronting him:

It is one feature that I do love about GA, is that on the Hosted Author page listings of their stories, they show which ones are completed.

Well - I finally made a decision. Got asked by Ryan again this morning so told him: And he came back with thanks, but no thanks. And I'm fine with that. I still own the site until 2013 - so who knows, he might change his mind or someone else might want it. For a 4 character .com domain, I think I'm being fair, though, I do think I'm going to start using the trebs.us for all future postings - I just like the name better.

BTW - Milaya it is! Mila is soooo loving and wonderful - lol - um, except when she makes a poopy in the kitchen... But even that is cleaned up fast.

Great news David - especially about the writing... As to the house - congratulations... Hmm - that sounds like enough square footage to put up - oh... say visiting fellow authors and their partners when they might be in town ;-)

I was so against medication for depression for a long time - but now I am so glad that I'm on prozac. I've been on it for a few years now - it does take a little while to kick in at the start, but usually just about 3-4 days. For me it helps - especially in the past, I would just get into what I would describe as circular thinking, going round and round a subject and getting more and more depressed. On the prozac, I break out of the cycle faster. Prozac of course is not for everyone - but let your friend know, medication DOES help some people. I shudder to think of having to go through everything in the past year (the chemo, treatments, losing my dogs, etc) without being on prozac - ack... As for yourself - keep bright lights on around you. If you have just 45 or 60 watt bulbs in rooms you're frequently in, see if you can change them to 75 or 100's... or those bluish "true light" bulbs. It may help when outside isn't as bright as it should. :-)

K - a POSSIBLE name is Mila short for Milaya, which is the Russian word for honey. We first thought "Honey" when we saw her color, but when we call each other "honey" - it would confuse her... Not sure - we're gonna take a couple days to decide before naming her

Well - I haven't decided if I'm selling yet, but since the new domain was just $17 for a year, I registered it - so I now have www.trebs.us

I'm already looking at other domain names that I would go to instead, and still probably stay with my current hosting company (iPower)... I don't want to want too much for it but I don't want to devalue it either. Heh - funny thing is, when I searched for RJWS, I found an actor, Ryan J.W. Smith - I could start a bidding war ;-)

I've got a personal website - it's www.rjws.com I came up with the name when I was with my ex - my initials are RJ and his are JWS so it was a merge of the two names. I don't use it for much - occasional updates. More use it to put up private directories of family photos so my brother and sister can see them. When I split with my ex, I realized I could still use the RJWS moniker by changing it to mean Robert Jordan's Web Site - cute, eh? So - a week ago, I got an inquiry about the domain. A guy who's name is Ryan J.W. Sanderson is a drummer in Quebec and uses rjwsdrums. He wants to shorten it and brand himself as just RJWS - his initials. So he wanted to see if I was willing to sell him the domain. Now - Pro's for releasing the website: I don't use it, it reminds me of my ex, someone else COULD get some use from it. Con's are: I have a personalized car license plate of "RJWS COM", short domains are in limited supply (there are no free 2 or 3 character domain names I've heard, and available 4 character domains I'd guess are also rare), I have a bit of nostalgic connection to it (I mean, I've had it for like 10 years now). Asked him (and flat out told him it was a crass question): How much would it be "worth" to him? I mean - I'll definately need to recoup costs at least as the domain is registered through 2013 but over and above that. He replied back that he was just a musician - he really doesn't have a "budget" but understands where I'm coming from. Ie - lol, a total non-answer. So... should I... The strongest argument to me still is, he could use it and I don't. But... Dunno... :-)

To "You know who you are" - HANNAH MONTANA SONGS?!? WTF!!!!!!!! In other news - life is good, been back to work for over a month now (went by sooooo fast). Looking forward to Thanksgiving with Dan, April, Tyler and Kaliann - we bought the turkey and stuffing ingrediants this past Saturday. Financially, things are going a lot better as after five months of applying, waiting, fighting, phone calls, etc - I finally got my federal disability payments. Getting caught up on bills is a good thing :-)

One of these days, I'll sneak it by you unnoticed ;-)
