  1. It's also to prevent the Sharon Kowalskistories of the future - being able to travel and definitively tell the hospital how my unconsious husband needs to be treated...
  2. Ooops - sorry... not sure exactly what you saw, but definitely understand.
  3. Yes - he does have his own forum which can be found here... As to the author - meh, he's ok... heheh - I get to say that, he's my hubby...
  4. Didn't realize, but is it already snowing in Colorado? ;-) At any rate - YAY!!!
  5. In the second question, why are both choices the same?
  6. ROFL
  7. I would think that Dirk has been "camping" for some time now ;-) <sorry - couldn't resist>
  8. Warning - there is a reason the button has a label of "spoiler"
  9. WOW - a sane judge ;-)
  10. My thought on the Turkey/money aspect keys in to what Joel was thinking at one point about Lisa and "coming to a decision" I believe it was put. I'm thinking he think's he'll find a better selection of engagement rings in Turkey than on Cyprus and wants to propose to Lisa as soon as he gets back to the States.
  11. Dang Rilbur - you're on a tear through Dan's works... :-) WOOT! Which one you gonna work on next?
  12. ACK!!!!!! Warning Will Robinson, WARNING... Um - well.... Good news - Mike Arram started releasing his newest story and it's another Peacher tale... Bad news - the TITLE is The Regency.... <gulp> Just off the title alone, things don't look good for Rudi. ... slowly I enter the breach ...
  13. Every other Friday - alternating with Jake by CJames
  14. Well - I'm either an hour early (my time) or two hours into it (your time) - so: HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARIE! Hope you have a great one!
  15. Topic is now pinned (ie - stickied). A meetup is basically just people getting together to put names with faces and meet in person. Simple ideas usually work best - lunch somewhere or a coffee stop. Set the time for about three hours - and if people want to hang around and do more together after, great. Whoever takes the lead in organizing it (Emulated?) should ask people to post or private message him if they are interested in attending. I recommend picking a city, date and approximate time, but only giving the exact location to people in private messages just so there aren't unexpected lurkers. Anyone is free to suggest getting together with other users of GA at any time - but I do want to provide the usual caveats - this is not an officially sanctioned event of GayAuthors and please always use your best judgement and caution in what you reveal to others, especially if you are a minor. Now - having said that - again - nothing is wrong with planning and having a meeting and from my past experience, they can be a blast. You get to sit and chat with people that you only know from the board, and just relax and enjoy yourself. I've actually been surprised at the good turnout at past official events and that everyone pretty much was fine with pictures from the events being posted to the board afterwards. Emulated (or anyone else) - if you want/need more advice on how to pull this off, just ask me.
  16. Cole is definately one of my favorite non-GA authors...
  17. I know this won't help get it back, but for the future - you should open a free email account, and email from your regular email to your other new email... Even if it fails on one side, you'll still have it in either your inbox or sent folder... <HUG> As to the lost chapter - there have been times where Dan lost something, just bit the bullet and started over - and felt it was a better product. It can happen...
  18. Grrr - I love my man, but sometimes, it'd be nice if he paid attention to my edits ;-) Small typo in Chapter 1 - that now you can read chapter 2, pops out (well - it did for me). So, if you catch it, yes - it is a mistake and yes - his beta reader DID catch it but NO - the author neglected to save the new chapter 1 once he had corrected it...
  19. A few news organizations printed a retraction when an old clip popped up with Bieber talking about his grandfather being German and was able to count to 10 in German
  20. I had always thought the kookaburra was an old folk tune... Had no idea it was so recent that it would still be covered under copywrite.
  21. Hope you didn't misunderstand Adam, but your's/Sam's circumstance was considered perfectly fine and acceptable.
  22. Steph IS fantastic - and a very challenging Scrabble player as well!
  23. Definately a tough call. I tend to agree with option A to continue any of his unfinished stories. As you post new chapters, go ahead and post them as Marco Polo but with a disclaimer at the beginning of each chapter noting that you are "Capt'n Crunch", Marco's brother, and finishing his stories. Story announcements under Marco's name would be ok too, but if you do comment on any of the threads, it would be best to do it under your name. In other words, try to limit the use of his account to just story posting and announcements, and even there, please use the disclaimer. Usually we don't like (nor allow) use of someone else's account - but in a case such as this where the original account owner has unfortunately passed away, I think we all understand the desire to leave a tribute of someone close to him finishing his stories. If you have any questions, needs, etc - let me know. Trebs [PS - for those that don't know, red text indicates a statement made from the role of an Admin]

    long time, no post

Steve, Viv, Dan and I had dinner at Downtown Disney two weeks ago when Dan and I were down there. Next time, I'll try to remember to post to see if anyone else wants to join up as well. Sorry about that Kelly...
  25. When you get closer - use the resources of the board too... Ask if anyone would be an editor or beta reader - we have a lot of talent here to help!
