  1. Congratulations. Very beautiful site!
  2. Very interesting. I love to dance. I like that style.
  3. Well, that's true. But you write much faster than I do. I'm not able to write THAT fast. Your story shows that you love creating World. And, your readers love World, too! I do.
  4. That's exactly how I do it.
  5. Most of my stories are set in the beginning of the 19th century. I have to do a lot of research. I sometimes find letters that people wrote 200 years ago. These letters always touch me deeply. Those people lived in a different world and in a different time. But they were not so different from us. They felt love and hate, fear and pride, pain and joy. I feel connected to them.
  6. What do you prefer? Write your own story or address a given theme (writing prompts, contests, GA anthology etc.)? I find it hard to address a theme. It's quite a challenge to me. But it can be fun also. I loved writing the play I submitted to the GA Anthology, for instance.
  7. Well, I submitted a work to a publishing house one or two years ago. It was rejected, of course. But I received a list of very good comments written by a professional editor. Those comments helped me a lot to improve my writing. They have a different point of view when reading a submission. The book must sell. I think it's easier to get an eBook published. There are hundreds of eBook publishers. It seems to me they publish all they can get. Personally, I don't want to publish an eBook. What would I gain? Nothing. Publish an eBook just tell everybody 'Oh, look, xxx published my short story. The cover is beautiful'? No.
  8. Sad the story ended. Glad it will continue. The Translator was a fantastic part of the chronicles. I'm eagerly awaiting further publications. Great story!
  9. Interesting. The situation you described is quite realistic, I think. People often hurt the ones they love. We can only speculate. Are they afraid of their feelings? The cat added a surrealistic touch. The story reminded me of a song by Cream: White Room. Surrealistic also. What has it got to do with America? I cannot say. I'm not an American. But I would like to know.
  10. J A C Q U E S S Jerry answered Cynthia's questions, unveiling Edward's selfish secrets. O I L C L O T H
  11. A gripping chapter. I truly suspected one of the boys was dead. I'm glad they were able to rescue them.
  12. That's exactly how I do it. It works pretty well.
  13. I definitely agree. But, you know, sex sells.
  14. B R O U H A H A Baffled, Robert observed us having a hilarious afternoon. O O Z E A W A Y
  15. I agree. It depends on the story. And, I think it's not entirely unrealistic for sex to occur on the first date. I think it's very realistic. But sex on the first date does not necessarily lead to a relationship. So, yes, it depends on the story and the intentions of the author of that story.
  16. It's hard to write with no or only little feedback. But I got used to it, lol. Well, I write historical fiction, the stories mainly set in Europe and in the 18th or 19th century. There certainly is an audience, but it's not a very popular genre in general. I received some great feedback recently. I will continue writing historical stories. It's my favorite genre. I think a writer should never try to write a story just to please his audience or get feedback. It won't work in the long run. He would lose his authenticity and his 'voice'.
  17. F L A T W A R E Finally Larry agreed to write a romance ebook. M A G A Z I N E
  18. T R U T H F U L This rascal used to harm fearful, unexperienced lovers. S C I S S O R S
  19. Glad to hear this. 2nd person sounds interesting. I look forward to reading the story. Write a poem to a stranger. Should be interesting also. I'm going to read it. Hope you're still enjoying your new place.
  20. Please stay. I loved your posts. And I love your poems.
  21. It depends on the artist's intentions, I'd say. If the artist desires to create something unique and original, the artist should do so, regardless of what others think and say. The artist will find pleasure in creating. His satisfaction and happiness will not depend on other people's opinions. If the artist wants to address an audience in order to entertain them, give them some thoughts, receive feedback, or earn money, he probably should make his art work appealing to his audience. Two questions: 1. Who is a real artist? 2. Artists who create something unique, are they necessarily ahead of their time?
  22. C A P I T O L S Charles asks Peter if teachers often lack skills. M A J O R I T Y
  23. Very good chapter. I loved the final part, in particular. The ideas are very well embedded in the story. To learn more about Peter Abelard, I went to Wikipedia. Very interesting. I copied the whole article. I very much loved this chapter.
  24. I was thinking about a reply. When I came back I found Graeme's answer. It is exactly what I wanted to post. But I agree also with David. Through technology we can communicate much easier. We can think about a story and the author's intentions. We can think about a post before we reply. It would be harder sometimes to communicate, sitting at a table together, face to face, and other people maybe watching and overhearing the conversation. I think through cyberspace we can learn to 'connect' in reality the same way and thus overcome cultural differences.
