  1. He will, just as soon as you and all his other fans vote in that spectacular poll we got going on For a link to said poll, you can click here Regards, Jon Who, (shameless plug-in) like Devin, isn't afraid to use blackmail as a means to an end
  2. Tables Ladders Chairs Match. I'm working the story out in my head. (I'm also watching WWE Judgement Day atm... But first I have too write my anthology entry and get it to my editors/betas and then get it sent to Graeme Jon (who's also considering writing the TLC match as he goes lol)
  3. I'm personally hoping for the TLC match on top of the volcano...If i get time i'll even write a short story about it Muahahah.
  4. :::throws a Nuke at you, (after all, CJ does it all the time!)::: That's cheating!
  5. So yeah, here's a poll to see what everyone thinks! As for who dies, I say it's Jerry and Yuri, I had to re-edit the poll because for some reason my choices didn't get to go through completely the first time around. I made this post because CJ has stated that the story is coming to the ending chapters, and I wanted to see what everyone thinks Jon
  6. It's better to be late than to be unfished or have that 'incomplete' feeling within a story, that's why i'm taking my sweet time with SA, cause I need a better idea and more chapters so i don't have to make any more revisions than absolutely necessary, and as for your no plans for a sequel, will, never say never. I, for instance, would like to see more of Brian and Keith. Defintely think something is going on there, and I'm definitely hoping that in your final chapters we get a well given sense of how things end with Jansen and Eric , so don't leave us hanging like that. As for your concerns that the chapter was "below par". Well. I don't think so, at all. The only difference between this story and the other Let the Music play is that we're not seeing so much of the band touring. But then again, this isn't about the band touring, it's mostly about Eric and my boy Jansen, resolving things that were left undone in the prequal. It also helps that things are culminating quick and easy. Most of us are just ready and waiting to see what happens next, to the point that we're sitting on the edge of our seats, I'm sure. I personally can't wait for the next (hopefully) several chapters. Best regards, and take as much time as you need. Jon
  7. Because the MK-48's and the ADCAPs do practically the same thing as a spearfish, just don't weigh quite as much. Same fuel, same capabilities. Wouldn't be all that surprised if the MK-48 ADCAP is the spearfish ::shrug:: Wouldn't be able to tell ya without seeing a picture of one. Ah, and the chip to make autonomous decisions, don't have those either. (hrm, I'd have to do more reading on the ADCAP, but I'm pretty sure of that). As to why we don't have em, we'll...we either got something better now or it'd be to expensive to replace all the MK-48's and ADCAPs, which should be done anyways. Jon
  8. Heh, and that's not even the half of it. I used to play with the Mk-48's when I was on the sub, so I know all about it. Did a lil looking, they think it was a MK 37 Torpedo that went off and was 'jettisoned'. Unfortunately, I'm not so sure that it was ever jettisoned unless it exploded/imploded in the event, which is the only way I can see it as being able to do enough damage to the inside of the ship that it put a hole in the hull. I'm gonna go see if I can find some specs on the MK-37 torpedoes
  9. Was that that the MK-48 torpedo on the Scorpeon? I'm kind of curious as to how long the Mk-48 has actually been in use. Simply because, even though their are replacement torpedos for them, the MK-48 ADCAP, the Navy still uses Mk-48 torpedos as well, and the damn things are faulty as hell.
  10. Actually, that's not entirely true, ehr, I think. I'm sure you got good information but I think I have better info Although, that would be the perception of why they went down, because stuff does tend to go boom at crush depth (actually, it's more an implosion, not explosion...hrm...does it still go boom then?). One of em went down because of flooding, which resulted in the birth of Quality of assurance and submarine safety rules, and the other went down because a torpedo may have exploded, if I recall correctly. I'd have to go look at my notes from my QA classes and such when I was in the Navy on board the U.S.S. Henry M. Jackson. In retrospect everything else you said is mostly likely completely true (I'll neither confirm nor deny anything, as i'm not willing to admit to anything that could get me in trouble!) Posters' Disclaimer! The poster of this post in no way shape or form admits to any actual knowledge that may or may not be true due to his time in the Navy. The poster does however acknowledge that this is his belief from a faulty era which, simply put, he doesn't really want to remember all that much, but is willing to go see if he can find any notes to back-up what he believes he was told/taught. In the case of the poster being totally wrong, he will in effect come back and say so and apologize for J.A.S (Jack Ass Syndrome) or what may be perceived as total jackassism by the other fans of the notorious author, Cliff H. Anger. Best regards, Jon (who is off to see if he can find said notes)
  11. :::squints::: I have access to a submarine, so I'll rescue Instinct...Hrm...wonder if the U.S. Navy would send in troops (Go Navy!) to secure the bombs, save Instinct, and pay our boys...I do hope we see the end of Jerry Clump, unfortunately m'thinks Brandon won't be so involved with taking the man down this time, I think the man's gonna kidnap my boy Jansen and Eric's gonna go rescue him, especially since Eric hates the guy so much..heheh, mutual hate...Hrm..crap...wonder if Jerry will kill Jansen out of his own sense of revenge to get back at Eric... Questions questions and more questions... I feel a headache coming on in the next few chapters Jon

  13. All right, so I went and saw it today (too much popcorn, I'm shaking heheh) and I just got back from seeing it... So...I guess I'm a little biased cause I hated what they did to the timeline, and I'm a major fan of the William Shattner star-trek movies... But I'm not a total trek geek, so I can move myself to be a bit unbiased. Now, getting past my biases I will say this was an excellent movie and can stand well enough on it's own. Totally loved the Leonard Nimoy appearance too (why can't we have Shattner making an appearance too? ) and i'm waiting for it to come out on DVD too so I can freezefram the undies shot, now, going back towards my biases, there are two things I am hoping for out of this. 1) I do hope they can revitalize the star-trek industry if they make any more movies and out of this movie alone, but... 2) I do hope they don't try and re-make any of the Star-Trek movies that Shattner and crew did, cause I'll be pissed... oh, and side comment, The kid who played in Charlie Bartlett as Chekov in this movie really is of russian descent. For those of you who haven't seen Charlie Bartlett I recommend you do so, it's freaking great. Laters, Jon
  14. I want to know what the miscommunication between helen and eric was...oh horror of all horrors...shall have to wait another week to find out J
  15. Welcome back Swee' 'eart! (fake gangster accent) We missed you, glad you're home safe and sound. Sleep well, CJ (can't imagine why you need any sleep, you were just on vacation for 6 weeks, LoL) Rest EZ Jon
  16. :::::::::Shakes::::::::::: Your devoted psychotic fans demand the next chapter(s) of Dreams N Clipped Wings. Nuff Said Jon
  17. yeah...another cliffhanger coming up, definitely. and I imagine poor Eric and Jansen getting stuck in that godawful tunnel somehow the next time it explodes. Least they can drop the nukes in the volcano and call it good Jon
  18. Write now I've got a character biography list started on my characters, I'm also coming up with relevant family and character history, am conducting some research on history in general to apply certain parts to the story and said characters history, and am fleshing out personalities, so to speak. I also wrote down a bunch of stuff to do in a to do list, things such as: Character Historical timeline relating to relevant points in history Certain backstory timelines and reference points Along with that I've written down certain scenes or conversations in my head that I want to see happen in a non-sequential view, and with that I've also started to write down some Sequential ideas. I have to be careful with that part though because as I've already discovered, I come up with some ideas that I end up having to try and fit. That's why I've decided it kind of sucks to be writing crap down with a pen. I've found that if I actually write this stuff down rather than try to type it, I seem to have better success with ideas and fleshing out the characters because while I'm writing I'm able to ponder other things as well, where as if i was typing, I'm not so sure I'd be able to do that. Those are just a few things that I've taken to doing. Regards, Jon
  19. So, I've been busy between my new job and school lately, and organising my thoughts on Sunny's Angel. I've temporarily placed SA on hold for awhile I think until I become way more organised with it, but in the mean time I'm in the process of gathering my thoughts and such for a new story that I'm probably going to write. After writing the outline vs. No Outline post and seeing other individuals thoughts and such on it, I've decided to try my hand out with a new approach on writing stories. As such, this new project that I want to try and write is my test ground for it, so I'll needless to say, I'll be focusing more on that than I will be on SA for awhile. In my spare time between school, work, and this project, I'll be attempting to focus on SA. Regards, Jon
  20. I'm just writing this because I feel the need to rant, mostly at myself. So, prepare for a slight whine fest. I just looked at my notes for Sunny's Angel and realized I haven't been following all of them, and am entirely unsure of how to fix the chapters. I feel so bad about this that I've come to the point where I'm preparing to write an outline just to get to an ending point for the story, and yet I know if i do this there will still be a couple chapters or so before I hit the end of Sunny's Angel. I'm not sure if this is a good idea or not. In doing so I'd probably end up with a major time skip and unintentionally leave a few questions unanswered. On the other side I could try to find a way to implement my notes with the rest of however many chapters there are just to get myself back on track, and try writing scenes from the major character's pov(s) just to do so, I'm just not sure how well this would work out. I'm thinking an outline first and then go from there. All I can say is this'll probably teach me to not write another story without having an outline and detailed notes first. Jon
  21. Uh, Many thanks to David McLeod who makes my work more legible and clearer. I notice a major difference between something I've written without him looking at it and something I've written where he has looked at it. I'd also like to thank Benji and Rush for looking at my work ahead of time as well and providing their own inputs, and asking questions that I have to decidedly go back and look at. Many Many Thanks Jon
  22. Death by fire, of course this was cause I was stuck on a freaking submarine out in the middle of nowhere for long periods of time. Strangely enough, I was never afraid of the risk of drowning. Dog poop. can't stand it, makes me want to vomit, of course, I can pick up kitty poop with no problems. and last, but not least, when other people are doing the driving and I'm not. drives me up the wall when I'm a passenger, half the time I'm trying to not stomp my feet as if I have brakes on my side of the car. Not being able to finish Sunny's Angel up That's all I can think of at the moment, I'm sure there's more though, just haven't really thought about them Regards, Jon
  23. Heh, My dad pulled me into the garage and handed me a play boy magazine, then he started talking about boobs when all I wanted to do was either get out of there or talk about other stuff. I was 14 at the time though, and already knew the things I actually needed to know from Nifty Archives Needless to say, if i remember correctly we were both embarrassed. As for actually ever giving the talk, think I've only done it once and all I ever said was make sure you use a condom. I assume that most teenagers are smart enough to figure out how the internet works and could probably teach me some things I know nothing about. Kind of reminds a person of the DomLuka story Dessert Droppings when Luke ended up giving Eddie the talk at the age of 13 rather than the other way around. Damn internet Regards Jon
  24. Okay, I've officially come to the conclusion that finals suck. On the bright side after this next quarter I'll only have 7 more classes I have to take before I graduate, then it's no more working nights for me (I hope). I've also come to the conclusion that having to write papers and come up with powerpoint presentations for every single class I take is extremely annoying, thus I've decided that this next quarter around, I'll be coming up with my topics alot earlier then in the middle of the quarter, that way I'm not scrambling to get them done at the last minute. With all that said, I hope to have chapter 07 of Sunny's Angel completed sometime after next week when I go on break, and hopefully come up with more time to write. Sorry for the delay folks, I'm sure some of you are anxious for the next chapter. End rant Regards Jon
  25. think two words and two words only can sum this chapter up. Ah Crap.
