  1. Talk about missing him by just a few. A couple of hours earlier, or if they had been able to delay releasing him could have made all the difference. He has gone to ground once before for apparently an extended time, will he do so again? Or is the fact he finally has Rick back in his sights enough to keep him around, not sure which I want to hope for. I think Jimmy and Shane will do okay with Beth and Tom. I have no doubts there will be a few bumps in the road, but they will get through it. So, Rick's sister has apparently done a 180, well we will see. Easy for someone to talk a good game, but face to face will be harder to pull it off if she is up to something else besides just wanting to reconnect. Can't wait for Rick to get back home, he may well be the key to getting Corcoran to make a mistake. Getting so excited.

    Cars

A marginally calm dinner at Escorial, a rare thing indeed. Love how JP goes about selecting what cars to buy; nice that he can afford to indulge his passion like this; and keep a whole lot of restoration people employed at the same time. LOL Carlo and Paolo seem to fit in well with the group, and the fact that Carlo approached this in an intellectual manner regarding the Bastille Day party bodes well for future invites. Don't understand why Jessica is still poking the two bears. I just keep waiting to see which erupts first, Will or Brad, and how big will the explosion be when it happens. Will has such a great relationship with JP, and his relationship with Brad is better than it has been in a long time. Will handled the conversation with Travis better than I would have, Travis seemingly decided to be purposely obtuse. Will is right, a therapist might be a great help to Travis. Love how this family embraces the use of therapy in so many situations. Rare in this social milieu to be this open about it
  3. Damn, so the cases are starting to overlap in unexpected ways. If Corcoran has been a client of Jarvis using an alias, the first questions might be, has any of the boys disappeared in a way that didn't lead back to Jarvis? Few serial killers just stop for any long period of time unless they are locked up, so the odds are that there are other victims out around, just no one has put two and two together. Hope that Helen moves quickly, would hate for anything to happen to the neighborhood kids; and Corcoran even has approached Adam, does that mean he needs protection? So many things going on, can't wait to see what happens next.
  4. Granger seems to help everyone. He got Weston posted and command of a frigate. Prince Genaro got moved to a better ship, and a promotion as well; of course, some may be due to Granger, but some is also who the young man is. And while Daventry would have ended up with a posting none the less; Granger turning down Spain got him that position, and Granger to go and help smooth out moving into that position with the Spanish elite. Can't wait to see what happens when they get to Spain.

    Reunions

Travis needs to find a way to get Kendo out of his life, are we sure an accident could not be arranged? Carlo and Paolo are both hot and passionate, although I did not hear Carlo advise where he was going during the phone call, how did Paolo find him? Will and Travis work on so many levels, but is that a storm cloud that I see on the horizon? JP will find just the perfect little helicopter that will fit their needs, and I am sure that no one will notice when they use it. LOL Can't wait to see what happens next.
  6. I am glad that Irma and Slav have hit it off. I think Irma being a strong your woman that speaks her mind, probably reminds him some of his sister, who he clearly misses a great deal. I for one cannot wait for her to visit and see what she makes of this unusual family that her younger brother has found himself part of. It is much more common and less remarked upon in Europe, Australia, well most of the world except the USA when someone large and oversized is wearing something that might show more than one would expect. And generally, if someone does comment, it is an American. Not only is America hung up on way too many puritanical notions, but the idea that you must be the perfect body type to be see and be seen is very prevalent here in the USA.
  7. A lovely story about two young men, that meet, catch eyes, and find they fancy one another. The draw that pulls them together is that inexplicable reaction that while rare, is often true and lasting. Will these two last, only time and perhaps the author knows for sure. We get a glimpse a quick moment in time; we can hope that there will be more to come, but even if there isn't, we know a connection was made, just not the final result.
  8. Corcoran turning up looking for Rick at this apartment, if it is him, is more than a little freaky and definitely points to him being the one that killed the others, or at least directly involved in some way or another. Marting was concerned in those last days about Corcoran as well, we don't know the full extent of what he did, but it was beyond just touchy feely. Wish Martin had said something at the time. Martin's remembrance of what Corcoran did to Rick is damning as well, and while I can understand Rick trying to push it out of his mind over the years, why wouldn't he have thought of it in the aftermath of Martin's murder, it would have certainly brought attention to Corcoran and his behavior. Jimmy is pushing the envelope in some ways. Shane is rather embarrassed by some of what he says and does, but not sure that Jimmy realizes it. While they both need therapy, Jimmy needs to start his sooner rather than later. Hope that Helen is able to get some footage from some of these cameras pulled up so that Rick can take a look at it when he gets back. Maybe having someone check in on Nick and Brad, I am not going to handle it well if something happens to those kids.

    Unseen Hands

Several chapters ago, I wondered if the system could be ordering all of this, wasn't sure what keyed me, but I thought it was a point of serious consideration. Now, it looks like it may have been spot on, but the real question is why? If the system can break protocol and order something like this, then what else is it capable of? Could it launch missiles or something? How AI is this system? Claire went to town on her mother, but Eleanor deserved every bit of it. Her preoccupation with being right about Josh almost cost of a lot more than anyone else was willing to pay. Lea and Rodney were not happy about the condition that Josh arrived back in, and I bet him getting out this time, won't be easy either. Did Cassandra alert Walter, or was he already waiting for something like this to happen? Cassandra, Dan, Walter, and Greg need to figure out that they all want the same thing in the end, and that is get to the bottom of this mystery. They need to start cooperating considerably more than they really have been so far. If they get Josh healed up enough to try to recreate the incident, and it does trigger his memory, which Josh will survive? Will the two sides integrate, or will one side be wiped out? And will Cerberus try to sanction his removal again?
  10. Ugh, love is in the air, how sweet. LOL
  11. Would it be possible that one of Alice's readers could come to the rescue. Perhaps one of them might be so enamored of the Paladin that they might see fit to marry Matthew, of course, they would need to know what they were getting into, but still. People, no matter where they are from, will do the damnedest things for the strangest of reasons. I appreciate Carolyn, not sure that I actually like her, but she does what she does for the right reasons mostly. And she is rallying the troops for the Horner's and to get them resettled. Still holding out for Alice to move off with Dante, Henry, and Frank. Find a little place where the three of them could find work or help to take care of their place and she could write and they could all be happy. Of course, maybe Brittany could fall down the stairs and then they could stay there but... Can't wait to see what happens next.
  12. Fire is frightening and unpredictable, and for me terrifying. I am glad that they were able to get some of the people out, but not all. The slaves being in the basement, they will probably find some of the bodies as they clear the debris. Alice does not like the idea of being forced into marriage. Not sure it is so much the idea of marriage to Matthew, this society has a history of marriage for other than a love match, but the idea that everyone is pushing her sets her back up. Tom was doubly brave with his history.
  13. Well, this just keeps getting better and better. We knew the connection to the mob, but now a little bit of background, just a touch. I am sure that Louis would love to know more about his uncle, and his mother always hinted that it was not up and up work. I wonder if she actually knew anything or? Joss and PJ are going to play into it a bit more; and sounds like we will get to know DC Gloria Inman as well. Can't wait to see what happens next, and how much PJ likes his gift.
  14. Thank you all for all you do. The job that you all do is amazing.
  15. I am honestly surprised that Rick or someone else had not already suggested that Jimmy and Shane be tested, wonder if Shane had the test done while in the hospital and he was just unaware of it. Like the idea of Rick and Adam being tested as well, shows solidarity and shows Jimmy and Shane that it is just part and parcel of being a gay man today. Not sure until the newsbreak that Beth understood the full scope of what was going on and how big and dangerous this situation really was. I am really hoping that some of the information on Martin's computer or on the Live journal accounts might give them a few clues. Wonderful chapter can't wait to see what happens next.
  16. An absolute blast, hope it was as much fun to write as it was to read. Cannot wait for Homecoming, maybe Madison will fall down a well and Sloane will not go find someone to rescue her. Can't wait to see how they start to try and help Ryan.
  17. Flew out of Texas to Alabama for the week. Already hate it. LOL. Hope everyone has a great week and a blessed holiday, whichever you are celebrating, or a relaxing time, if you choose to just relax and enjoy the days without celebrating.
  18. Love all of the Quincefield Chronicle stories, all are well written, and character driven. The way the magic, fantasy, and mystery are all interwoven is truly exciting and draws you in immediately. This one is more of a straightforward mystery, but it keeps you wanting more. We get to see some of our favorite characters, and a few new ones. We get a glimpse of some of the influences on Dust, and they really help to round out the character. While not a requirement, you will be better informed of some of the interaction in this story, if you have read the previous ones.

  19. Nice way to end this one. We got most of the answers but not all, and probably never will. We got to see what all our favorites are up to, and got introduced to a few new ones, that might be coming soon? Can't wait to see what happens on this teams next adventure, and yes, they are becoming a team.

    Cheating

I swear for someone that claims to hate drama; Will seems to entrench himself in it at times. @PrivateTim is right, Will would eviscerate anyone that challenged and questioned him to the extent that he does others. I sort of like the idea of Fab and Marie, I mean nothing long term would ever come of it; but they could certainly enjoy each other for a while. Not sure who will be in for the bigger surprise Paolo or Carlo? I think that Kevin is pretty spot on about Finn's reaction to Will. Not really sure that Will can do much to bring him around, unless Finn was willing to go to some counseling to deal with a few issues first.
  21. Just loved so much of this chapter. Louis buying the graphic novels/comics was interesting, and him branching out into something more edgy might be interesting, but don't want him or his work to lose it integrity. Tom and Ian might be unusual, but I could see it working or blowing up spectacularly. I just wouldn't want Ian to get hurt, and I think he could easily; plus, are we even sure what side his toast is buttered on? Tom can be pushy, but I think in some ways that might be good. He can push Louis into getting some things done that really need to be handled. Is Louis really even interested in Charlie, or is it just the lack of other interest? Charlie doesn't seem to reciprocate at all, or is it just me? Well, the lawyer was a bust, but then I think that Louis thought it would be to start with anyway. Can't wait for the next update.
  22. Great chapter, so much going on. Glad that Rick took Adam to meet Martin, I somehow feel that Marting is okay with this and happy. Adam was warmly welcomed by Beth and Tom both; on some level it has to be hard for them, but they both care deeply for Rick and do want what is best for him. Jimmy and Shane are adjusting faster than I would have ever suspected. Thrilled that they were able to get Jarvis's henchman, Gus, and better yet the infamous black book. Henchmen are rarely known for their brains, so not really surprised to find the book uncoded. Casey is going to get his revenge. Can't wait for the Assistant Commissioner to get his. I still think it is really strange that if it is Corcoran, that he stopped killing after Martin, and then trying the next year; then took a hiatus for several years, just to suddenly start again. If he wasn't locked up somewhere for something, I am betting there are other bodies somewhere. Can't wait to see what happens next.
  23. Hilarious take on a truly unique one-night stand. Just delicious.

  25. It was a great story; I read it after it was brought up last time.
