Just a little ditty about Russ and the rest. LOL So enjoyed this story from start to finish. We got to see another side to Russ that allowed us to get a fuller understanding of him, where he came from, and how his growing up made him into who he is today. But oh, so much more to uncover. Finding out about his grandmother would open up a whole new aspect of his life and past. Truly happy that Russ has had the discussion with Brian and Gordon about finding something for all of them. It needs to be something with enough space for them all to have their own areas but allowing them to spend time together as desired. And I like the idea of Toby having space to grow into it, if that is something that he would be comfortable with as well. Excited to see that Con and Lisa and the kids are coming over for a visit, and hopefully a football game as well. And Con and Lisa both seem happy with the idea of a return visit from Russ with others in tow. Russ and Arman have always had a rather professional relationship; but that may bend just a bit if Arman's wife and kids are going to spend some time around Russ and his family as well. And I am sure the kids can bond over the football, or at least the boys, and maybe Russ can do another baking lesson to get the girl interested as well. Felicity even got to use that perfect party frock she had in the back of her closet; and enjoyed going to a charity function as Russ's "date", with her boyfriend's approval. And she will be the one to help Russ led the charge to find out more about his past. Truly can't wait to see how all of this plays out in future stories, and I am willing to sacrifice small children to guarantee that happens. LOL. We must simply visit Brian, Gordon, Toby, Russ, Con, Lisa, Arman, Felicity, and all the rest again and again.

Oh, what a tangled web we weave; and it appears that Assistant Commissioner Barrett is weaving quite a web. How much of it is a web that he controls and how much is it a web that he is caught up in? That might be a very interesting question. Well, Jimmie and Shane have been reunited, and they wasted no time reconnecting so to speak. Helen and Rick are moving into dangerous waters, shark infested. Is this case tied to Martin's and Alexei or is this just going to run parallel?

Hope everyone has had a wonderful day full of fellowship and wonderful food. Happy Thanksgiving to you all.

And just who the hell is Juno? From the name you would assume a woman. Could be Elizabeth Danfield, but I truly think that she would think the FBI and the others associated with this are simply too far beneath her for her to consider working with them; Alexandra Carmicheal, who I think has proven that no one is too far beneath her to work with, but her family has become very intwined with this family on multiple levels, would she really risk them; Mary Ellen Granger, well, I could see her doing something to get involved with anyone as well as long as she gained something from it, but would think she would have gone after Jeremy more than Travis; and then of course, you have Sabrina Granger, who already has significant ties to the cartels. Just which of them is Juno, or is there another person lurking just outside of our view... Hombre cleared up what is going on, and really the family can just walk away with few issues at this point; but I just hate loose ends.
-
Well, that couldn't have gone better if it had been arranged by George himself; but wait, I think he did. LOL. Much as Daventry mentioned, Granger always takes care of his own. Granger will be able to help Daventry get ready for Spain, and I am sure he will find someone suitable to help him learn Spanish. Granger will introduce him to his many friends in Spain and help him get established before coming home to deal with the impending birth. Granger has enough connections in Spain to that he should have a relatively easy time getting to view those locations, and he is smooth enough to handle any issues that will arrive. What a truly delicious treat on this special day.

Thursday, April 24, 2025 (III)
centexhairysub commented on Celian's story chapter in Thursday, April 24, 2025 (III)
Is the case solved? I don't think it truly is. How did Kate get to the cabin, even with abilities, I don't believe someone that severely burned could have gotten any distance by themselves. And while the knowledge of witch blood poison was not apparently a hidden secret, what or who prompted Kate to go in that direction. This was obviously a huge taboo and can't see Kate just deciding well, this is my only chance. Who rang the bell, Kate was too badly burned, and why would she have tried to summon help for Madeline. Madeline was already affected by the witch blood poison and couldn't have done so. And Phoebe doesn't have the ability to do so. Nathan is going to have to deal with the Bell's almost feel sorry for the mother; but the father is clearly hiding something major. Dust has discovered the coven was neither the place nor the people that he always thought it was. Why was Uma so dismissive of it all, strikes me as very odd. And Bridget was clearly not forthcoming but why? There are just way too many unanswered questions. -
I am glad that Louis had Ian keep the keys; and implied that he might need them to look in or after the place from time to time. Ian seems lonely, doubly glad that Louis invited him for supper. I know that Louis was just being nice, but Ian needs a friend, and Louis could be that, even if nothing else but that. I have to wonder about Tom coming, and I agree with @CincyKris, the backstory to reason for his visit could prove to be interesting. They have a past, but Louis seems to think that they work better as friends, and that can often be true. Not sure why, but I have this little voice in my head about Charlie, can't decide if it is warning me about him, or going hubba hubba... LOL. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Well, very happy that Rick spoke to Tom and that he and Beth are going to take Jimmy and Shane, but I am worried about this putting them back in danger. Not so much from Jarvis and perhaps Gus, but from whomever is responsible for Martin's death and perhaps that of Alexis as well. Glad that they got in front of a friendly judge. And I don't trust Ryan and Azzopardi at all. Not sure who they work for, but while they may be police, they are not on the side of the angels on this or anything else.

Some wonderful authors and some great stories. But I want to give a special shout out to @Celian, one of the series is truly a fascinating series of stories with a cast of characters and some twist that simply have to be read to be believed. Once of my favorite series on here at the moment.

An illuminating New Year’s Eve
centexhairysub commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in An illuminating New Year’s Eve
Well, I never understood the attraction to New Years Eve and late night of drinking and such. Not sure that Russ will be more domestic than this, but it was a hit with the boys, and I think even he enjoyed it. And that was the purpose of it, wasn't it? Unfortunately, you can't pick your family. Lisa has a few that she might like to disown. I do hope that Con, Lisa, and the boys come over to see Russ, he can introduce them to those in his life as well. And sprinkles, as they are generally known in the US can be quite good, I like the ones made from red hots. -
The First Night and a Road Trip

Going through a loved one's things after they have passed is never easy, I would suspect because of his age this will be doubly hard for Darren...- 15 comments

I am going to assume this means the FBI Hostage Rescue Team, sort of a super SWAT team within the FBI. They are specially trained to deal more with terrorist response today rather than actual hostage rescue, but the name is still the same.

Well, I just have to wonder what this will do to Christina Jarvis's social standing; although doesn't sound as if she was exactly beloved to start with. So, the PC himself called. Could this reach into the government itself; I know that in Australia the government is tied very closely in some cases to the upper levels of the police. Sounds as if the assistance commissioner was a little bit hysterical, I wonder why? Rick is just a good person, and his visit to Shane and actions show why. That said, this kind of job will be hard on him, because the good guys don't always win.

Well, first, we need to know who ordered the team into activity. I have a suspicion but not sure why yet; or the other thing that just popped into my head was could Cerberus have actually issued the orders? I think we know why the others ran; they got wind of the kill orders and tried to get away. if Claire doesn't throw Eleanor out of the house, I am going to be sorely disappointed. Josh was allowed to be aware during the first part of his escape, but it seems the alternate can put him to sleep when needed. Once hell of a skill set all around on that escape. And I thought that the CIA was not allowed to operate on American soil??? LOL

Weekly Wrap Up (Nov. 16 - Nov. 22)
centexhairysub commented on wildone's blog entry in Gay Authors News
Thanksgiving is a turkey, usually deep fried. Christmas we usually split between turkey, deep fried again, and ham. Easter is bar-b-que, usually brisket, ham, turkey... As always, thanks for the updates. -
Conversations of the contrasting Kind
centexhairysub commented on Celian's story chapter in Conversations of the contrasting Kind
I have to wonder how Mistress Ellen will feel if she were to learn all of Remy's secrets. Of course, many of them don't make him look as bad as the women that were in charge of his life in his early years, but still. While I trust Marc, I don't think I care for or trust this Keith at all. The conversation between Mistress Ellen and Remy was very intimate, not in a sexual way at all, but in a way that is more than a little hard to fully define. -
This was such an interesting chapter. I actually feel more than a little sorry for John. In some ways, he still sees Dante as that small boy in the dance class, but Dante has grown up and is as much of his own man as this society will allow. Danica is a little bit proud of him. Did she expect him to refuse this offer to come back with her, no, but I think she looks at Dante with a little more if not pride, then at least a more respect for his decision. Like Dottie or at least have an impression of liking her from this brief glimpse, and likewise, don't think I care much for Daphne.

THE NEXT CAP BOOK: TRAVISTY
centexhairysub replied to Mark Arbour's topic in Mark Arbour Fan Club's Topics
Sounds delicious... What a holiday treat we will all get to enjoy. -
All of this could have so easily drawn the family into conflict with not one but perhaps two separate cartels. This could have been disastrous for all involved. JP is right, while the family needs the information, they need to get it to the FBI and get out from underneath this as soon as possible. Glad that they waited to open the thumb drive until they could divert attention away from themselves, and glad that Brad did not transfer any money. Petrovic could still try and link them, but it would be almost impossible to really prove anything and does he want to make enemies of the family, they do have wonderful connections to various branches of the government. Claire, Marie, and John needed to get away and find a place to relax without any pressure, Will getting everyone to the compound in Hawaii was a smart move. Even better he got Brad to come with him, and Jake, Stef, and JP followed. This will give everyone a chance to digest what is going on and have some down time to prepare for anything that is still coming. Wonderful chapter, and this story just keeps getting better and better.

Well, for a night that started with such promise, this one ended with a shocking discovery. Kilroy is correct, he needs to make some explanations, but he needs to get a hold of Bane immediately, he can explain while Bane is on his way. Wonder what that will do to the resell value of the car?

Uncle Vernon & Charlie
centexhairysub commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in Uncle Vernon & Charlie
Louis may well have found a place that allows him the freedom to do what he wants, how he wants it. Obviously, Louis has no real idea of what his uncle did or the possible wrongs he committed. When he starts to go through the other buildings on his uncle's place, he may find the most interesting things, or not. Charlie seems to have latched onto Louis, is it just because he is a fellow artist and sound as if the only other male in this little grouping, or is there something else involved. Ian being where he is, might prove more useful than at first glance, we will see. Can't wait to see where this one is taken. -
Well, I am sure that Jarvis is busy winning and dinning someone very important at the moment. LOL His missus seems to be bit of work herself. Already like this mother, but I doubt she knows much about what he really does. So, the Assistant Police Commissioner is possible involved, could it go even higher? Rick has asked Martin's parents to step up and help with the two kids, but will this bring them closer to danger? So good.

A walk in the park - 30 December
centexhairysub commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in A walk in the park - 30 December
I do believe that this trip has made a real difference in the relationship between Russ and Con. I am so glad that Russ has really spent some time with Lisa and the boys as well. And I can't wait to see how the next baking adventure turns out. I hope we get to see Russ on his return for the festival, maybe bringing guest as well. What a delightful chapter and I can't wait to see what happens next.
