So well done, and I don't even mind not knowing what is truly going on. The trip back became a ritual to honor one that was gone, then long after that disappearance another left with him willingly. The following year the last two returned, to truly say a farewell, knowing that neither the two that went missing nor the last two friends that were left would return. They had made their choices and had to follow their own lives.

Lord, leave it to Will to find the repressed straight guy that is hiding out because he has to go to the LGBT club meeting, and try to make his life better. Will really can be a good guy, but then he will channel Brad, and it all goes to hell. So, Preston has to go to the club meetings as punishment, or to help him understand where he was wrong? I like Finn, but this passive aggressive act is getting old fast. Glad that Marie has Will there to check on here, even if he is doing it by calendar. LOL. It would be easy for her to bury herself in schoolwork and not try and deal with any of it. Marie and Will have each other's back, and that matters to both of them. I had wondered what brought about JP's behavior with Jeremy, while he has always seen education as really important, the way that whole meeting was done, was just so out of character for him. Brad led him astray. I don't trust Petrovic, but he is the best connection they have. Jake will figure out a way to keep the meeting safe. Just like Claire to get through part of her pain by helping others. I wonder how tied Jessica and the baby will end up to the family. Can't wait to see what happens next on several different areas of this story right now. As always, a bow to the master @Mark Arbour

In it for the long haul
centexhairysub commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in In it for the long haul
So very happy for Vince and Peter, and glad that Freddie is all on board. Gray will be as well, and of course, Dawn is all for it. I think that Peter opens a side of Vince that has been locked down for a long time, maybe even before Moira passed. Good to see it opening up, let's see how far he will go. Graham and Matt just need to communicate. Matt's issue was he was fretting that Graham might take off, but I don't see that happening at all. Graham may have to travel some for work and exposure, but I think his muse has always been in this place. Wonderful chapter can't wait to see what happens next. -
Wonderful chapter but do despise that Granger is so down; hate it more that Calvert cheered him up. Are we sure a fatal carriage accident couldn't be arranged. Daventry seemingly in awe of Granger's ward. While that would be quite a coup for her, I have to wonder if that would disrupt their friendship, and I am not sure that anything is worth that happening. Lord, George willingly gave Davina 2000 pounds to clear a gambling debt, was he struck on the head and I missed it? While I think that Granger would make an admirable ambassador, I could think of other roles that would suit him more. Although with his connections to Spain, that would be an interesting posting, to say the least. Sigh, I guess if Calvert makes him that happy, keep him alive, but Lord, he is a bore. Can't wait to see what happens next.

I have a feeling that Jimmy will play a bigger role in the story that we get from first appearance. Jarvis sounds like a piece of work, but we don't know much about him yet. Martin is what interest me; he keeps getting mentioned but not much to go on; obviously a murder victim, but was he Rick's first love, or what? Love Helen.

Nature Reserve – 24 December
centexhairysub commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in Nature Reserve – 24 December
Lovely chapter, I am glad that Russ is being more social. I hope that Russ does take Jamie up on the invite to meet Cathal and have a lovely evening with them and his mother, Emma. Jamie and Emma have proved to both be dears and I am sure that Cathal will be as well. Toby will love the gift, no matter what the cost of it was or wasn't. Con and Lisa seem to be set up, if they only had a little more financing and maybe a better business plan. I am sure that the boys will have Uncle Russ up, whether he wants to be or not. LOL, boys that age are not known for being neither quiet nor restful on Christmas morning. Honestly, a little surprised how open Russ is being with everyone on this trip. -
Bruce Banner - Sam & Gabe
centexhairysub commented on Celian's story chapter in Bruce Banner - Sam & Gabe
Sad that both Sam and Gabe have to deal with so many issues from family. Why can't anyone just respect and accept who you are? -
Well, the Golden Boy moniker can be both a blessing and curse, which will it be for our Rickie boy. Being that young and already a detective shows some true smarts and probably a lot of luck. Interesting times ahead.

Some really interesting and spooky stories here, some I have read and some I have one my to do list. Thanks for the recap.

No, if there is truly a single all-knowing, all-seeing deity; it is clearly cat based in reality. Just ask @kbois...

Friends, family & future plans
centexhairysub commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in Friends, family & future plans
Loved it all, and the second you mentioned Giles, I knew just what she looked like. Maybe the book deal could be closer than anyone realizes and having a twofer with the book of poetry and the other one with the pictures and poetry captions might play well; tie it in with another publisher for the one with the photos. Graham showed great restraint on meeting Eileen Garner. Glad that Vince, Peter, and Freddie had such a good time. They have all become more important to Graham than I think he ever thought they would. Freddie probably made the right choice not to be there waiting for Arvid, sometimes a little restraint goes a long way. This might not be anything that Sandra and Elspeth said, he will just need to wait and talk to Matt. Glad that Matt was able to find a few things to do himself while they were there. Love the idea of him and Vince going birding. Talk about odd ducks. LOL Can't wait to see what happens next. -
Captain America - Alex & Max
centexhairysub commented on Celian's story chapter in Captain America - Alex & Max
Max had a brief walk down memory lane. Some good some bad but seems to have a lot of resentment built up. Almost annoyed that his adoptive parents didn't adopt him until he was 11ish. And while his father traveled a lot for work, Max seemed to have had at least some support, and they seemed to have tried. The story about the cup made me sad, you could tell it meant more than he wanted to admit. Horrible that he was not able to even get back for the funeral. And why was his mother in the ER? Did he even try and find out? Were they really that bad, or is he just using that as an excuse not to care, not to be hurt that they are gone? Alex is a dear. I could never throw out books; hospitals, nursing homes, all kinds of different places are willing to take them, always a way to rehome them. I think that Alex did believe that Max needed a hug, of course, I am sure he was really upset, he seems very sensitive, but I think some of that was a way to try and give Max some comfort. Hmmm, I wonder if the Lt. could be related to Alex, of course, Alex had a chance to mention a relative on base and didn't so probably not but still. So many ways for this to go, can't wait to see how it moves forward. Truly excellent. -
WOW. this was amazing. JT and Tommy Lee found each other but had to deal with a lot to get there in the end. Very Tennessee Williams type feel to part of this. Mary Beth is the best kind of sister, one that loves you no matter what and will do what needs to be done to keep you safe. Bobby Ray may have had issues, and we know he did; but what a horrible way to die, even if it was quick. For those that have grown up in a small town; we all recognize some of the characters here in, but the writing and drama conveyed so much more. Truly amazing.

Moss and Link fought the demon of hate and won. Moss had to fight to overcome the hate spewed at him by his grandmother, who may have had other reasons to hate what she saw, and simply used the misconstrued words of a book written by men that knew not what they said. Link knew what he wanted, and he was able to bare his heart and help open the heart and soul of the one he cared for to the idea of love and togetherness. Recognized a few names, perhaps it is time to revisit some places and see what is up there. Wonderful story, thank you so much for this @Headstall

Poochie and Dane - The Car Ride Home
centexhairysub commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Poochie and Dane - The Car Ride Home
OMG, too funny, just like listening to my niece and nephew bitching on a long care ride. -
WOW, and I fully expect the AI's to do something similar to us soon.

Delightful, and I do believe in ghost, but I have to admit they don't both or scare me nearly as much as AI does today. Wonderful story and a sweet romance to go with it.

Loved it, and I am sure it was the Thompson's that killed the Baker boys for one reason or another. Shawn and Chad survived their night in haunted cabin, and they know now what truly happened, but that is a secret best left buried. Wonderfully done.

Weekly Wrap Up (Oct. 19 - Oct. 25)
centexhairysub commented on wildone's blog entry in Gay Authors News
Halloween is truly my favorite holiday. I love the costumes and scares and how joyful it makes the kids, about the only time I can deal with them all, the kids. The year has flown by, and soon to be the start of another one. Finally after almost two months of no rain, got a little bit Friday and Saturday and boy did we need it. Could us a bit more as well. Hope everyone has a great Halloween; and as always thanks for the updates on what is going on. -
I was torn between fingers crossed and sad but went with something a little hopeful. I don't know why, but I have been suspecting for the last few chapters that something was wrong with Miss Carolyn. She may well be a bitch on wheels, but in the end, she cares about her family and people; and that is something that she knows Britney will never truly do. That doesn't mean Britney can't run the farm or the family, but no one will be truly fully happy when she takes over. Plus, Miss Carolyn knows that what she has put aside can't be trusted to Britney, but until Alice makes a move there it all sits. Will it be enough to help dig Matthew and their place out from under the problems, probably not, but at least it would help and allow him and Alice to approach a marriage on a more even footing, and that might truly help. Britney will never see Frank as anything, but a child and she would never allow him to access any money that had been put aside for him; but with Alice as his conservator, he would have something of his own. Miss Carolyn may not like Dante, but she is smart enough to see him for what he is and use his talents to get the results that she wants. Alice and Miss Carolyn are both right; in a community like they are in, the smallest actions can reverberate powerfully. Not sure why Miss Carolyn blames Tom for her husband's failings, but no one is perfect.

Baking day – 23 December
centexhairysub commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in Baking day – 23 December
Denise was right, and I am glad that Russ went with the baking idea. I used to get all of nieces and nephews to help me in the kitchen baking at different times. Of course, I never got more than two at time and made sure whatever I was making was something they enjoyed consuming, but it was always fun and a few hours were taken up with something that they could remember and perhaps even use later. Russ is better with his nephews than I would have suspected, of course, when they see how rubbish he is with football, they will really have a go at him. Glad that Russ was able to give Con and Lisa a day out for them to get a few things done. A walk with Jamie in the nature preserve. Russ with have to tell Toby all about it. An unlikely connection, but we will have to see where it leads, I suspect to an afternoon of conversation, and perhaps a interesting friendship, that will have to be rather long distance. Love that Toby wanted to call Mr. Russ and tell him all about his holiday with his mother. I really like how Toby relates to Russ; the give and take is good for them both I think. Lord, what was Jasper up to, and will he ever get caught. Appreciate that Deidre handled herself with Toby better than she usually did. As always, thanks for this, and can't wait to see what happens next. -
The story of two best friends that we meet in a previous story. They are moving from teenage years into adulthood but are going their own way to reach it. Wonderfully written and the characters are all so real. Get ready for a wonderful time, one we all would be blessed to have experienced.
