I posted my first story, the 24 chapter long Dean Warner Intrigues from May 26, 2012 to June 23, 2012 and am astonished it has to date received over 5900 views. I thank everyone who read it. I really appreciate those that liked it, reviewed it and/or sent me a private message. As a first story it is far from perfect and there were some justified criticisms. I appreciate all the comments I received. In the end, I am gratified by the sheer number of people that bothered to take a look and then proceeded to follow it to the end. I admit, I give some of the more well-established authors on the site more grief than encouragement and Jon, CJ and Mark can bear witness to that. However, I do appreciate the hard work and thought that goes into writing and for a new author I try to accentuate the positive!

The latest chapter is a major cliff-hanger. Trev and Shane are headed for the Rip and Gray has called the sea witch with news of his major success and calls are made. Meanwhile Lisa and Joel are getting a new orifice ripped by her dad for the police confiscating all of his records and computers. And Bridget undoubtedly knows they were in the islands looking for her, as does the cartel..... I don't think things could get any darker without death and mayhem exploding among the four young people in the story.

Thanks for sharing and taking the time to relate that even in the tragedy that is Alzheimer's both you and your mom can find the joy of laughter over the little things in life. A sense of humor is invaluable, as is a sense of patience which your story also described. Letting mom, work the stuff out of her hair without barging in and taking over was just the right thing to do! Bless your mom and her son!

Interesting ending to the chapter. I suspect Mr. Miles Hartley will be discussed further in the coming installment! This was a very fast reading chapter which is testament to how well done I consider it to be!
