Interesting chapter, but again Will seems way more mature than an almost 14 year old, in how he handled his mom and both dads, especially in a stressful situation. I guess, I am used to early teens who try to manipulate one parent to influence the other one. Here was a perfect chance for Will to enlist Brad to convince Robbie that he was the natural one to take Jeanine aside and get her to see she was making everyone's life terrible so they could join her in a pity party and that it was instead driving a further wedge into the family. Gathan is something else and as he explores his sexuality and prowess in the manly arts, it seems he is more confident. I still think that when the crew assembles in Paly that J.P. will have his hands full.

I am a sucker for happy endings, even when the main characters are total screw-ups and really don't deserve one. Alright, most of us screw-up more often than we like to admit and we still want happiness. I guess being imperfect human beings is what makes us interesting. Thanks for the story!

UGH, ARRHHH, sound of grinding teeth, lasting relationships are not built on deception, or on being less than truthful with significant others.

Chapter 15 - In Bed With Dogs
Daddydavek commented on Jack Scribe's story chapter in Chapter 15 - In Bed With Dogs
Very interesting and fast-paced chapter that left many questions unanswered. Hopefully, the house will be a trove of information and our kind author will deign to share. As usual, I find it will be hard to wait for the next installment. -
I really like what you did with this chapter. The flow is good throughout. Nice job in putting it all together!

Gathan now as match-maker? Cute! Gathan manipulated by Zack? Not cute. Tiffany telling Will that pregnant women can be bitches: Too true. Steff's upcoming trip to Paris: Sounds intriguing and fun! Something for everyone.

PRECOGNITION!?! Out of the frying pan into the fire, hi-ho, hi-ho, it's off to work they go.... Reply from Rilbur (author) Why oh why did you have to use the word 'fire'

Now Bridget has Trevor's car, still titled in his name. I think she has just set up Joel and Lisa. Trevor meanwhile is somewhat gobsmacked by Shane and too insecure and timid to try anything. Will we ever get to Christmas?

More edits..The whole chapter repeats itself??? "Wylie invited and encouraged John, with a flex of him magnificent gluts. The smell was heady a aroma of Wylie." (Both sentences need fixing.) "Wylie groaned his approval,<and> encouragement. Both <were>frosted with frustration at not being allowed to speak." "If he couldn’t f**k him, he would definitely being tonguing his ass again; tonight." (Replace being with "be".) Pavlov's dog's are mentioned and mentioned exactly the same way again. In truth, they salivated and did not pre-cum!

Joe Don is an interesting character and provides further details into John's love of the dealership. With all the details provided, I am beginning to wonder how long this opus will take to get back to the present??? Since the editor has awoken in me, I noted you used the word corporeal when I suspect you meant corporal. I also saw the word employee when I assume you meant employ.

I like where this chapter went, but the spell checker was on the blink. "Already, John's mouth had raised the bar on sexually drived pleasure." (I think you mean DERIVED.) "This time Wylie’s cock seemed to be drawn into his throat, as a drought of water might be." (You may have alternatively meant DRAUGHT or DRAFT for drought.) " He would have laughed as he envisioned himself being smootered to death, by a BALLSACK!" (I think you meant SMOTHERED.) "Pain was the fartherest thing from his mind as his body tnsed in preparation to experience his greatest orgasm yet!" (FURTHEST and TENSED are my guesses.) I note the chapter has a real bite in the butt and that all the misspellings occurred during the sex scenes. Makes me think the author has a sense of humor and perhaps gets a little excited parsing the sex.

ef·ful·gent /ɪˈfʌldʒənt, ɪˈfʊl-/ Show Spelled[ih-fuhl-juhnt, ih-fool-] –adjective shining forth brilliantly; radiant. Now, now, not really a word that a college freshman majoring in business would use! Nor would a full grown Texas businessman (remembering with fondness) think of it in describing the scene between Wylie and John's mamacita.

Ok, still keeping up a partial charade, but obviously into each other and we're just through the first semester. I wonder how the relationship would have progressed if they had actually talked to each other and explored their feelings and not just sought sexual release?
-
Since this is a flashback, I guess this could be a defining moment. However, I am sure, many college freshmen have had erotic thoughts about room mates after seeing them up close and personal, much less actually shaving them. Some probably even experiment without ever losing their hetero orientation. So I guess, I just didn't see the "Ah-ha" moment from your prose. Now that you've taken steps to set up the past, I am actually looking forward more to the present.

It was hard to get through this first chapter. Anyone hitting bottom is in a lot of pain and of course, John is at low ebb. Much better days are certainly anticipated. Starting a story at the low point is always a risk, but one that can be worth it if there is healing.

Foisting young Darby onto Sir Jervis was a handy solution to a problem which was becoming obvious. I wondered if the meeting with Nelson would go well since George's knighthood and found it interesting that Nelson sent the newly arrived captain to deal with ship blocking the mole. Perhaps Nelson's test was double-edged, one to get the job done and two to let the rest of his contingent know how capable Sir George could be. I thought he handled the "request" to Captain Sutton of the Egmont with poise and understated deftness.....Now if only the council of thirty reacts responsibly! (Another cliff-hangar:))

I know Will is Brad's son, but after reading this chapter I have to keep reminding myself this is a young teen talking and in my opinion he is coming off way more mature than every 13-14 year old I have ever met. Gathan, is still having interesting experiences and his poor step-parents are still feeling out of their league. An interesting chapter, but I have to wonder what the devious mind of the author is up to in laying this background?

A well told, sweet, somewhat predictable story. Being sentimental, parts did make me cry.....and I am always a sucker for a happy ending!
-
What a crock:( This did not just make my day:( Pitooey! As I have mentioned elsewhere, patience is not my strong suit.

Jared and his lover are in for it now. Why do I think this will NOT be a cakewalk?
-
Hmmm, not much resolution nor insightful hints as to what is to come. More of a teaser with the actual state of Jacob still a mystery. No follow-up to be expected for a while ....And patience is not my strong suit.

Jeanine is pregnant. Like many pregnant women she is a she bear when pregnant. Will and the rest of the kids will get over it. Tiffany is also pregnant and a little she bear herself. What they work out doesn't seem to be central to the story, they are just part of the milieu. Robbie and Brad have seen her pregnant before and seem to realize that sometimes you just have to go with the flow, it is a self-resolving issue, babies are finally born. My main interest is to see what the whole crew at Stanford gets up to in the coming academic year and the effect on the old man, J.P. I'm also interested in how Brad and Steff progress in their newly expanded business empire.

Chapter 13 - Not That Wandering Jew
Daddydavek commented on Jack Scribe's story chapter in Chapter 13 - Not That Wandering Jew
I was waiting for the story to continue with Scotty, nooo, we had to get back to Evan and Marv (not my two favorite characters) and neither is doing anything much except hunkering down. Now I'm hoping Kris will find a lover at the party. Oh, by the way, I read in your forum that you expect this to go through mid-May with weekly releases. As usual, I will be looking forward each week to sample your offering!
