  1. Happy Birthday to you, too!
  2. Oh yeah! You must have seen the "Vanilla" concert video, too.
  3. Jake G., not bad. Nice to see Jake Shears, Ryan Phillipe, Cillian Murphy, Milo Ventimiglia (Although they could have found a better photo. The poufy hair made me laugh.), Gale Harold, Randy Harrison, Peter Paige, and Jonathan Rhys-Meyers. There are several others I like as actors, so I was glad to see them on the list, even though I don't necessarily find them hot. (Ewan MacGregor, Christian Bale, Robert Gant) A couple I find hot some of the time, or only in certain roles (Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom). The majority of them are not my type (The Rock, ewww!), but I know I have strange taste in men! (My list would have Gackt, Ola Salo, Andy Bell, and lots of ballet dancers and skaters.) Edit: Me too, Caipirinha!
  4. Just wanted to say, I thought of this story again today when I saw a guy at the gym wearing a Sex Wax shirt.
  5. The level of detail made it feel very real, and that was a nice twist at the end. Also, it was kind of cool that someone else did a hurricane story.
  6. Thanks so much to everyone who worked on this. And I absolutely love the way my story looks online- the graphic is perfect!
  7. My favorite is Velvet Goldmine. Glam rock, Oscar Wilde quotes, and Jonathan Rhys-Meyers and Ewan MacGregor in eyeliner. What more could you ask for? Another favorite (and guilty pleasure) is an Italian movie with the English title Adored:Diary of a Porn Star. I'm not sure why I love it, because it's kind of cheesy and not at all realistic, but it has a certain charm. I also enjoyed Gypsy 83, which has the same writer/producer as Edge of Seventeen. It's set in Ohio in the 80's, but really reminded me of my teen years in PA. It focuses a little more on the female character than her gay Goth best friend, though.
  8. I was actually reading your name as Bea St. Kid, and wondering where/what Bea Street was, and why I hadn't heard of it.
  9. All-time: Buffy The Vampire Slayer Firefly Queer As Folk (although it went downhill in the later seasons) Wonderfalls Heroes I was watching Supernatural, but missed the last few episodes. I also watch pretty much reality TV -Survivor, American Idol, etc. (Just not the dating shows.) My favorite is So You Think You Can Dance? And I enjoy Ghost Hunters and Most Haunted when I can catch them, but it has to be when my husband isn't home, because he can't deal with anything even remotely scary.
  10. I believe in...something. I'm not sure if I believe in actual spirits on earth, but I think there are many layers to existence, and sometimes there can be a glitch that causes an event to be played back, like seeing a movie clip. It's more like a photographic imprint than an actual presence. I also think that strong emotions and powerful events can leave a sort of psychic residue on a place, and that's why certain buildings can have a negative (or sometimes positive) vibe.
  11. Happy Birthday! Good to see you back.
  12. I don't know about 'meaningful', but this song by Pansy Division amuses me to no end (and he sounds like my type of guy) : FEM IN A BLACK LEATHER JACKET I don
  13. Rknapp, yours has always been very eye-catching. Where did it come from, though? It looks like something from a movie. I like jamessavik's Angel one, too. In the past I've had Erasure, The Ark, and something from the Gakuen Heaven anime. I don't even know which anime my current one is from. Maybe someone can tell me.
  14. Matthew Bourne's newest ballet is going to be a gay version of Romeo & Juliet: http://www.gay.com/news/opinion/article.html?2007/03/21/2 His Swan Lake was brilliant. I can't wait to see this!
  15. Happy bithday, Dan! I hope you and Trebs have a great time this weekend.

    I

I took the test, and also got type 5, but I didn't think the description was all that terrible. I agree with Coming Undone. It's just a tool, not something set in stone that you have to let define you. I don't look at it as a list of 'flaws', but explanations of different ways people cope with life. It's possible to be a healthy, happy person of any type, just as it's possible to let those same coping traits pull you into a destructive pattern. Don't let it make you feel like you're doomed to failed relationships because you're not good with emotion. I'm not either, but I've been with the same person for 19 years. The issue does come up that he'd like me to be more expressive, but it's hardly an insurmountable obstacle.
  17. Alan Cumming married his boyfriend Grant Shaffer: http://www.eonline.com/news/article/index....43-594e9511a2e7 For their first 'dance', they ice skated to a Queen song. You can't get much cooler than that. I wonder if they have any actual skating skills, or just skated around holding hands. Looking at the picture, it seems there's enough of a height difference for some actual pairs tricks. (Ok, I know I'm just dreaming with that, but I couldn't help but notice. The Gay Games does have a similar pairs event, though... )
  18. Sure he has. I'll send you Caesar. He isn't a puppy anymore, but he acts like one. He could use some housebreaking lessons just like a puppy. I'm sure that would be tons of fun!
  19. Understandable, but...how are we supposed to contact them to ask them, when they're gone? I didn't mean to be controversial or spreaed rumors. I just thought maybe there was a goodbye post I missed, that's all.
  20. Speaking of people leaving, what happened to Naper Vic? I just noticed he isn't around anymore.
  21. I have this book, but I have no recollection of having read it. I remember reading at least two other Grimsley books (Boulevard, and Comfort and Joy )so maybe I just haven't gotten to it yet. I Really like the southern settings.
  22. Mirage, the series is available on dvd. Amazon has it. I thought it was even better than the movie.
  23. I turned on Logo the other day in the middle of the countdown, and this video was on. I almost fell off the couch when I saw the second outfit. He kind of reminds me of Freddie Mercury. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AbREmKsB3xE I have a raging crush on Ola now.
  24. That was gorgeous. I know the song is old, but is the video old or new? The kid reminds me of a younger version of skater Johnny Weir.
